Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong
Chapter 110 Mutual Introductions
Wayne grasped Lillian's wrist.
Water element covered the wound.
He released his grip after a few breaths.
The wound has healed, and the new skin has a light pink hue, creating a subtle color contrast with the surrounding fair skin.
Lillian withdrew her hand and examined it from all angles.
"alright?"
"alright."
"So fast?"
"Um."
Lillian lowered her hand; she wasn't the type to say nice things, and getting her to say thank you was harder than getting her to fight.
"Um, thanks, Mr. Wayne."
"You're welcome," Wayne said.
Lillian tried to organize two more sentences.
"If there's anything I can help you with, just say so. Whatever your problem is, I'll definitely help you."
Wayne smiled and nodded.
The two little ones stood to the side and watched the whole thing.
They had heard so many rumors: that Wayne's water magic could make women blush and go weak in the knees, that strange noises often came from the treatment room, and that the women in town were all running to the church as if they were possessed.
They thought they would witness something today.
However, nothing happened.
Emma's expression changed from expectant to confused.
"elder sister."
"Um."
"Why didn't she blush?"
Ella thought for a moment.
"Perhaps... the injury isn't serious?"
"Why aren't your legs going weak?"
Ella thought about it again.
"Perhaps... he can stand firm?"
Emma's lips twitched. She didn't even believe this explanation herself. She turned her head to look at Wayne, her eyes filled with the question, "Master, are you hiding something?"
Wayne pretended not to see it, picked up the milk and took a sip.
After Lillian left, Emma remained standing there, staring at Wayne's hands as if examining a sophisticated instrument.
"Owner."
"Um."
"Are your water magic types categorized?"
Wayne looked at her.
"What do you mean?"
"Well..." Emma tilted her head and thought for a moment, "Some water magic is for healing, and some water magic is for something else."
Wayne didn't respond.
Ella tugged at Emma's sleeve and whispered:
"Don't ask anymore."
"Why can't I ask?"
"Because...because..." Ella stammered for a long time, unable to come up with a coherent answer, but her ears turned red first.
Wayne stood up and put the bowl into the basin.
"Water magic is water magic, it doesn't discriminate."
Emma pressed on, asking:
"Then why didn't Lillian react at all just now?"
"Because she really was just injured."
Emma's mouth opened slightly, then closed again. She seemed to understand, yet also seemed not to. Her eyebrows furrowed, and her pale red eyes darted around, as if she were desperately piecing together fragments of gossip in her mind.
Ella's face was completely red.
"Emma, stop asking."
"oh."
Emma was unusually obedient this time.
But she remembered it.
Footsteps echoed down the corridor.
Mayfair walked ahead, her steps much lighter than the night before, her face carrying the freshness unique to the morning. She hadn't slept much last night, but she looked unusually energetic.
Kaisa followed behind.
She was wearing a grey dress that Mayfair had lent her, the hem trailing on the ground and half an inch longer than her ankles.
Logically speaking, walkers have no emotions.
Necromantic texts clearly state that the undead are aggregates of obsessions; they can feel anger, fear, and greed, but not shame. Shame is a complex social emotion that requires a complete sense of self, something the undead lack.
But Kai'Sa's expression at that moment was indeed one of shyness.
Her gaze lingered on Wayne for a moment before quickly shifting to the water vat in the corner. Her lips were pursed tightly, and a faint blush rose to her cheeks, spreading all the way to her ears.
It wasn't the shyness of a young girl in love.
It's that kind of shyness where you "remember everything that happened last night."
Mayfair noticed and smiled.
Wayne spoke up first.
"This is Kasha, Mayfair's guardian corpse."
The two little ones' eyes fell on Kaisa at the same time.
Emma tilted her head and looked her up and down, her gaze moving from her face to her dress and then back to her face.
"Hello," Emma said.
Kasha nodded slightly.
"Hello there."
The sound wasn't loud, but it was very clear.
Ella stood to the side, clutching the hem of her skirt, and whispered a "hello," her voice even softer than Kasha's.
Emma took two steps forward and circled around Kasha.
"Are you really a zombie?"
"Yes."
"But you don't look like it." Emma stopped in front of her, looking up at her. "Your skin is so good, better than mine. Your hair is so smooth, even smoother than your sister's."
Ella opened her mouth but didn't say anything.
Kasha's fingers twitched.
She wanted to raise her hand to touch her face, but put it down halfway. Her gaze flickered towards Wayne, then quickly returned to her.
"It's Lord Wayne's water magic," she said.
Emma's eyes lit up.
"Can water magic really improve skin?"
"Yes," Kasha's voice was soft. "It can also make hair smoother and give the body... a feeling."
The last three words were spoken so softly that they were almost carried away by the morning breeze. But Emma heard them, and Ella heard them too.
Emma's mouth opened into an "O" shape.
Ella's ears turned bright red.
Wayne picked up his milk, took a sip, and pretended not to hear.
Mayfair stood to the side, her expression subtle. She looked at Kasha, her lips twitching slightly, as if she were suppressing a laugh or perhaps sighing.
"Kasha," she said.
"Um."
"Could you...stop telling everyone everything?"
Kasha tilted her head and thought for a moment.
"But Master, didn't you say that one should be honest?"
Mayfair's face flushed red.
"I...I didn't say that."
"You said it," Kasha said seriously. "You said, 'Kasha, you must remember to be honest. Say what you want, say what you like, don't keep it all inside like I did.'"
She paused.
"You even said, 'I waited so long because I was holding it in.'"
Mayfair's face turned from red to deep red.
I shouldn't have talked so much with Kasha last night.
She thought Kasha wouldn't remember.
It's common knowledge in necromancy that a zombie's memory is fragmented. But she forgot that Kai'Sa wasn't an ordinary zombie. Water element had replaced her nervous system, giving her memory abilities far exceeding those of ordinary undead.
Kasha took two steps forward and stopped in front of Wayne.
"Lord Wayne."
"Um."
"My water element... has almost completely disappeared."
Wayne looked at her.
"Now?"
"Now," Kasha said seriously, "you said morning last night, and it's morning now."
The two little ones stood beside them, their ears perked up at the same time.
Emma's eyes were filled with the excitement of "It's here, it's finally here." Ella clutched her skirt, wanting to look but not daring to, her gaze darting back and forth between Wayne and Kasha.
Wayne was silent for a moment.
"OK."
Kasha's lips curled up slightly.
"Where...is it?"
Wayne glanced around the yard. Vera was busy in the kitchen, Mayfair was standing on the porch, and the two little ones were standing beside her, both eyes fixed on them.
"Right here."
Kasha nodded, stood in front of him, closed her eyes, and tilted her face slightly upward, like a sunflower waiting for the sun.
Wayne raised his hand and placed it on her head.
Water seeps out from the palm.
Last night, the main problem was that we were spending more than we earned.
Otherwise, it's actually fine not to supplement today.
Kasha's body trembled slightly.
Three breaths later.
Wayne stopped.
"alright."
Kasha opened her eyes, looked down at her hands, turned them over and over, and clenched her fists again.
"Thank you, Lord Wayne."
Her voice was calm.
The situation was so calm that the two little ones were a bit disappointed.
Ella's mouth finally closed.
"That's...that's it?"
Kasha turned to look at her.
"What's wrong?"
"It's nothing," Ella said in a muffled voice.
"I thought it would..."
Wayne smiled. "Ella's grown up!"
Jie Jie Jie...
Never mind, that's not his style. He's a proper priest.
