Chapter 53 The Dragon Balls of Namek
Sabo and Dodoria stood on either side of him, each holding a Dragon Ball.
The Dragon Balls are orange-yellow with a few red stars on their surface, shimmering slightly in the sunlight.
The other henchmen were scattered around, wielding energy cannons, driving away several Namekians.
"Is that guy Frieza?" Krillin muttered under his breath, his Adam's apple bobbing. "Just as Solo said, his energy is terrifying; even a glance at him is terrifying!"
A cold sweat broke out on his back, and his scalp tingled.
"Uncle Krillin," Gohan said, pointing to the Dragon Balls held by Dodoria and Zarbon, his fingers trembling slightly, "They really are holding Dragon Balls! The Dragon Ball radar just showed that there were four Dragon Balls in their hands."
"Are these the Dragon Balls from Namek?" Krillin exclaimed, his gaze fixed on the enormous spheres. "They're huge!"
"Um?"
Dodoria seemed to hear a noise over there and perked up his ears.
He suddenly turned his head, his gaze like two sharp knives, sweeping towards the direction where Krillin and Gohan were.
Krillin and Gohan were both startled, their pupils contracted sharply, and they quickly shrank back, hiding their bodies.
The two pressed themselves against the rock, holding their breath and even trying to stop their heartbeats.
"What's wrong, Dodoria?" Frieza asked with a smile, glancing in the direction Dodoria was looking.
"Nothing," Dodoria muttered, turning her gaze back. "There was just a faint energy reaction in that direction. It's gone now. Maybe it was some small animal?"
"Hmph." Frieza sneered, a mocking smile playing on his lips. "It could also be one of those guys who are hiding their fighting strength."
"Should we go and capture them?" Dodoria asked, pointing in that direction.
"They're in the shadows." Frieza slowly shook his head, his gaze becoming profound. "Going to them on your own, searching with your eyes, you might not find them."
He paused, then his smile deepened.
"Let's kill a few Namekians later and see if we can force them out!"
"Lord Frieza, we've only found these five people!"
At that moment, Frieza's henchmen led five Namekians out of the room.
The Namekians staggered, their faces showing a mixture of fear and anger.
"The rest of the people don't seem to be home," the younger brother added, bowing slightly.
Immediately, several henchmen of Frieza's army gathered the five Namekians together in a noisy manner.
They shoved the Namekians on the shoulders and pressed the muzzle of their energy cannons against their backs.
Among these five people, there are three elderly people and two children.
The old man's skin was covered with wrinkles.
The child's eyes were wide open, and his body was trembling slightly.
"What do they plan to do with the Namekians?" Krillin frowned, his eyes fixed on the ground below.
Son Gohan swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing as he felt a bad premonition. He gripped the edge of the rock tightly with his little hands.
"By the way, where's Vegeta?" Krillin asked again, glancing at Gohan. "Did you guys kill that guy?"
"No." Gohan shook his head gently, his voice low. "Uncle Zoro let him go and left him to fend for himself."
When the three Namekian elders saw the Dragon Balls in Frieza's hands, their expressions changed drastically.
Elder Muli's pupils contracted sharply, and his lips trembled slightly.
The faces of the other two elderly people changed from pale to ashen, and then from ashen to deathly pale.
"You all need to watch closely." Frieza smiled as he swept his gaze over the three old men, his eyes lingering on each of their faces for a second. "I am Frieza, the one who collected your Dragon Balls!"
He tilted his head.
"Where did everyone else go? According to our investigation, there were 10 people here before."
The Namekians, led by Elder Mullie, remained silent and ignored Frieza.
Their gazes were fixed on the ground, like three sculptures.
However, they were indeed quite frightened by Frieza's powerful aura, and cold sweat dripped from their faces.
Sweat trickled down his temples and dripped onto the blue lawn.
"Intend to remain silent?" Frieza chuckled, his voice icy cold. "If you don't speak, I'll kill you all!"
Elder Mullie felt a chill run down his spine, his body trembled slightly, and he hurriedly responded in Namek, his voice hoarse and urgent.
"Don't speak Namek!" Frieza sneered, his lips curling into a sneer. "Speak a language we understand. I know you speak other languages too!"
Mullie: "..."
Murray's Adam's apple bobbed, and his lips moved a few times.
"Everyone else has gone to work in the fields," Muli replied through gritted teeth, his fists clenching unconsciously. "All that's left are us old folks and children."
"Very good." Frieza's smile deepened, his chin slightly raised. "Answering questions honestly like this will protect you from mortal danger."
He paused, his gaze sharpening.
"Then, continue answering my question! Where are the Dragon Balls? I think there should be one here!"
"I don't know," Mullie feigned ignorance, shifting her gaze to the side. "We don't have that."
"Hmph!" Frieza snorted coldly, knowing that the other party would say that, but he didn't care.
He turned to look at Dodoria and said with a smile, "Dodoria, the second Namekian to be killed, told us something very interesting!"
"Yes." Dodoria nodded, echoing Frieza's reply with a fawning smile. "Absolutely true! He said the Dragon Balls are only given to the recognized warriors."
"That man was very stubborn and refused to cooperate with us in the slightest," Frieza said with a smile, his tone as relaxed as if he were chatting casually. "To punish him, I had no choice but to kill him."
The faces of the three old men, including Muli, changed repeatedly, from ashen to deathly pale, their lips trembling.
"That's how he told us everything." Frieza spoke slowly with a mocking smile. "He said the Dragon Balls were made by the oldest elder on the planet and then entrusted to seven other elders for safekeeping. These seven elders competed in wisdom and strength, discussing the reasons for their petition."
Mullie and the others were already drenched in sweat, with beads of sweat dripping down their noses.
"Only those whom these elders consider warriors are worthy of the Dragon Balls!" Frieza's smile remained unchanged. "However, as I just said, they were stubborn and refused to give me the Dragon Balls, so I had to kill them. It took a lot of effort to get the first Dragon Ball."
