Full-Time Magister: Rebirth of Mo Fan as the Primordial Evil Phoenix

Chapter 8: Teacher Tang Yue fiercely defends her friend, rejecting the old dog Mu.

Mo Fan's gaze followed Tang Yue's slender waist down, watching her alluring figure sway gracefully as she walked. He couldn't help but touch his chin and click his tongue. "Tsk, could it be that being reborn has doubled my irresistible personal charm?" Mo Fan muttered to himself, feeling quite pleased with himself.

"Even a mature and sophisticated mentor of this caliber couldn't resist and insisted on actively exploring my secrets? ε=(´ο`*))) Sigh, being too handsome is indeed a sin." Mo Fan thought to himself with secret pleasure, and was about to reply, "No problem, since it's Teacher Tang Yue's request... you can go as 'deeper' as you like, I'll definitely cooperate."

"Slap, slap, slap"

A few slow clapping sounds came from afar, the sound carrying the echo of magical energy, making people's ears numb, and forcefully suppressing the buzzing of more than a thousand people on the playground.

Mo Fan looked in the direction of the sound.

A middle-aged man dressed in a dark gray Tang suit, Mu Zhuoyun, the local tyrant of Bocheng, was walking towards him.

He didn't look directly at Mo Fan, his gaze sweeping over him from head to toe. His eyes were no different from those of an old lady picking vegetables at a market.

"Not bad," Mu Zhuoyun said, his voice amplified by magical energy, causing dust to fall from the examination platform. "Mo Fan, right? The son of Mo Jiaxing, the one with the sports car?"

Mo Fan's smile froze.

Mu Zhuoyun put one hand behind his back, as if he were handing out welfare. "Your father worked for me and was fairly honest. Now that you've awakened the fire element, our Mu family happens to have a batch of fire-elemental cultivation resources. We can give these resources to you. After you graduate, you won't need to leave. Just sign a contract and become a retainer in my Mu family. From now on, even a little bit of what the Mu family casually leaks out will be enough for you to live on for the rest of your life."

As soon as Mu Zhuoyun finished speaking, the entire room fell silent!

Mo Fan suddenly recalled his father, Mo Jiaxing. His thin figure, his ever-present faded old work clothes, and his hunched back that seemed about to break whenever he saw the Mu family.

Selling his house and swallowing his pride to beg for help, all for a single "reward" from Mu Zhuoyun today? Indeed, whether in this life or the past, this old dog Mu is still incredibly infuriating!

Mo Fan pursed his lips and suddenly chuckled.

"A retainer?" Mo Fan picked at his ear and flicked his fingernails. "To put it bluntly, isn't he just a dog that can cast spells?"

Mu Zhuoyun's expression instantly changed from sunny to cloudy.

"Old dog Mu, do you think everyone in Bo City is born to kneel at your Mu family's doorstep begging for food?" Mo Fan raised his head, looking directly into those arrogant eyes. "Sorry, I, Mo Fan, have strong bones. My knees won't bend."

As soon as he finished speaking, the temperature on the playground suddenly plummeted.

One second it was a sweltering, muggy day. The next, the air felt like it had frozen. A chilling current spread from beneath Mu Zhuoyun's feet. Several students nearby, who were there to watch the drama unfold, were shivering from the cold.

Mu Zhuoyun didn't even move a finger, yet the pressure of a mid-level ice mage directly pressed down on Mo Fan.

Mo Fan felt a sudden weight lift over him, as if he were carrying two sacks of grain on his shoulders. His knees sank an inch uncontrollably.

Extremely cold frost climbed up the soles of his shoes, freezing his calves.

"You ignorant fool." Mu Zhuoyun's voice was icy cold. "Just because you have a little talent doesn't mean you can't prioritize? Today I'll teach you what rules are!"

The pressure has increased dramatically!

Mo Fan gritted his teeth, and the veins on his neck bulged out one by one.

Just then, he caught a glimpse of Mu Ningxue standing next to him out of the corner of his eye.

She was wearing a white dress and wasn't far away. The chill emanating from Mu Zhuoyun automatically veered away from her. But instead of feeling relieved, her face turned frighteningly pale.

Mu Ningxue stared intently at Mo Fan's trembling legs. Her lips moved, and she took half a step forward.

Just half a step.

She wanted to plead for him, but Mu Zhuoyun's tall figure blocked her way, like an insurmountable mountain.

Mo Fan met Mu Ningxue's gaze.

Through the cold air, Mo Fan understood her struggle and guilt.

Damn. I don't need any woman to pity me.

In his mind, the dark red stardust seemed to sense the provocation and surged wildly. Blazing magical energy exploded from beneath Mo Fan's feet. The frost on his calves instantly evaporated!

"Old dog! Is that all you've got? You've wasted your years cultivating yourself into a dog!"

Mu Zhuoyun, who was extremely concerned about his appearance, immediately blushed! It looked like Mu Zhuoyun was about to use magic.

Mu Ningxue, standing beside her, turned deathly pale and was about to speak when another, even faster figure moved.

Tang Yue instantly teleported in front of Mo Fan. A faint, mature woman's fragrance wafted from her. Fire elements danced at her fingertips, instantly distorting the surrounding air with heat.

"No one can bully my students."

On one side is scorching magical energy, and on the other is extremely cold magical energy.

Just as these two magical energies were about to collide, a gentle, light blue aura separated them.

"Alright, Zhuoyun," Principal Zhu's voice rang out slowly. He walked forward with his hands behind his back, blocking Mu Zhuoyun's side. "Why bother arguing with a kid who's only been awakened for a year? That's going too far."

Mu Zhuoyun snorted coldly, his chilling aura receding, but he still looked at Mo Fan as if he were a pile of trash.

"Old Zhu, it's not that I'm making things difficult for him, but people from this self-taught background are just a menace even if they awaken fire element." Mu Zhuoyun dusted off his clothes. "Since it thinks it's capable, fine. My adopted son, Yu'ang, only recently awakened his own. Mo Fan, aren't you supposed to be tough? If you're so capable, don't just talk the talk."

"Call him here now." Mo Fan clenched his fists, his palms sweating. "I'll slap his face until it's bruised and battered."

Principal Zhu shook his head: "According to the rules, those under the age of eighteen cannot engage in public duels. If you want to fight, wait until your coming-of-age ceremony."

Mu Zhuoyun sneered: "Then let you live for another two years. Let's go."

He turned and left. Mu Ningxue stood there, glancing at Mo Fan. Her eyes held a complex mix of emotions: worry, helplessness, and a hint of shock she herself hadn't even noticed.

Mo Fan didn't speak, he just looked at her. Then, Mu Ningxue lowered her head and followed her father out of the playground.

The crowd of onlookers dispersed. Only scorched black soil and a few puddles of melted ice water remained on the playground.

Mo Fan's tense breath suddenly dissipated. He plopped down on the stone steps beside him, panting heavily. His school uniform was already soaked with cold and hot sweat, and felt sticky and uncomfortable in the wind.

Tang Yue turned around and looked down at him.

"How does it feel to show off?" Her tone was slightly reproachful, but her eyes were bright.

Mo Fan looked up at Tang Yue's curves accentuated by her bodysuit. He tugged at the corners of his mouth, revealing a tired yet wild smile.

"It's alright. Just a bit tiring." Mo Fan patted his thigh, stood up, and moved closer, inhaling the rose scent emanating from her. "Teacher Tang Yue, thank you so much for earlier. How about... we go to your office, and I'll have you give me a thorough 'in-depth' check-up to see if I'm injured?"

Tang Yue was stunned for a moment. She looked at the boy whose forehead was still dripping with sweat, who had almost been frozen into an ice sculpture just now, but who now had the leisure to talk nonsense.

She wasn't angry. Instead, she took a step closer, her high heels clicking crisply on the stone slabs.

The two were less than half a meter apart. Mo Fan could even feel the warm breath she exhaled as she spoke.

"Okay." Tang Yue narrowed her eyes, smiling like a cunning fox. "As long as you don't get your legs broken by that Yu Ang two years from now, the door to the teacher's office will always be open for you."

She reached out and lightly flicked Mo Fan's forehead with her fingernail.

"Now, go do whatever you need to do."

After saying that, Tang Yue turned and walked away.

Mo Fan touched his forehead, which had been flicked red, and watched her swaying back as she walked away. He then turned to look in the direction the Mu family had left.

Two years from now, right?

Two years from today will be the day Yu Ang dies!
