With Severus's potion, the Slytherin Quidditch team was like a tiger with wings, and their training became more frequent and intense.

As a backup hitter, Kevin trains even harder, eager to get a chance to play, even if it's just for a few minutes.

Captain Theodore Greengrass was satisfied with his progress but warned him to control his reckless impulses.

But surprises always come faster than plans.

Thursday afternoon was spent preparing for the final tactical drills. Slytherin had originally booked the field, but the Gryffindor captain insisted that they had booked earlier, leading to a dispute that ultimately resulted in a decision to "each use half the field and not interfere with each other."

This is a recipe that's absolutely disastrous.

The Quake and the dart frequently flew into the wrong half of the court, and players from both sides inevitably dodged and collided in the air, making the atmosphere increasingly tense.

James Potter was the most flamboyant member of the Gryffindor team. His broom was Nimbus 1001, which was extremely fast. He would often fly close to the Slytherin members, creating a gust of air and a provocative whooshing sound that drew angry glares from the Slytherin members.

When Kevin hit a runner to protect his chaser, he hit it too hard, and the runner flew in a high arc, unexpectedly heading towards James Porter, who was speeding across the Gryffindor half of the field.

Although James easily dodged the broom, it clearly angered him.

"Hey! New guy! Are your eyes in your armpits?" James yelled at Kevin from mid-air, turning his broom head around and flying over, his face full of undisguised sarcasm. "Or is this the only kind of underhanded sneak attack you Slytherins know?"

"That was an accident!" Kevin yelled back, his face flushed red. "Besides, I was hitting a free-flying ball; it's supposed to fly around randomly! Whose fault is it if you can't dodge it due to your poor technique?"

"Who are you calling badly skilled? You're a substitute who can't even sit properly on a broom!" James's temper flared. He already didn't have a good impression of Slytherin, especially those associated with Severus.

He charged toward Kevin on his broomstick, the two broomsticks nearly colliding.

Captain Theodore and the captain of Gryffindor were both shouting and trying to separate the two.

But in the midst of the chaos, James suddenly swung the end of his broom, seemingly out of control, but with remarkable accuracy, striking Kevin's arm and side where he was holding the broom handle.

"Ah!" Kevin cried out in pain, losing his balance and falling from a height of more than ten feet.

"Kevin!" Ian and Aris, who were in the stands at the time, jumped up when they saw this.

Ian instinctively reached for his wand, but it was too far away.

Fortunately, Kevin landed on relatively soft grass, but the thud when he hit the ground and the painful way he curled up with his arms wrapped around his body made everyone's hearts sink.

The Gryffindor captain's expression changed, and James was also stunned for a moment, seemingly not expecting such serious consequences, but then a stubborn look and a "he brought it on himself" expression appeared on his face.

Theodore and the other Slytherin members immediately rushed over.

Ian and Aris also ran down from the stands.

Kevin was deathly pale, his forehead covered in cold sweat, and his left arm was bent at an unnatural angle, clearly broken.

"Go and fetch Lady Pomfrey!" Theodore roared, and one of his men immediately rushed toward the castle.

Ian knelt beside Kevin, examining his injuries, his face grim.

He looked up, his icy gaze fixed on Potter.

James felt a little uncomfortable under his gaze, but he didn't back down: "Why are you looking at me? He lost his footing! And he provoked me first!"

"Potter!" the Gryffindor captain snapped, then turned to Theodore, his voice tinged with apology, "I'm so sorry this happened, we..."

"If apologies were enough, what would be the point of school rules?" Theodore interrupted him coldly. "A malicious collision that caused serious injury to a classmate was witnessed by everyone present. You're going to be in detention, Potter. And you can forget about participating in this competition."

James's face instantly turned grim; Quidditch was one of the things he valued most.

Soon, Madam Pomfrey arrived with a medicine kit and carefully used a levitation charm to take Kevin to the school hospital. Ian and Aris followed closely behind.

The diagnosis came back quickly: a fractured left arm, accompanied by a mild concussion and multiple abrasions.

According to Mrs. Pomfrey's standard treatment plan, using bone-strengthening agents, it will take at least a month for a full recovery, during which the arm must be immobilized and cannot be used forcefully.

"A month?" Kevin, lying in his hospital bed, almost burst into tears upon hearing this timeframe—not from pain, but from anxiety. "Then...the competition..."

Mrs. Pomfrey said sternly, "A match? Young man, you should be thinking about getting your bones to grow properly! You can play Quidditch again, but a crooked arm is a lifelong problem!"

She prepared the Life-Giving Elixir, watched Kevin drink the bubbly, unpleasant-tasting potion, and then carefully secured his arm with bandages and a splint.

Ian stood by the hospital bed, looking at Kevin's frustrated and pained face, his fists clenching quietly at his side.

He patted Kevin on the shoulder: "Don't think too much, get some rest first."

Even after leaving the school hospital, Ian's expression remained unchanged.

Aris followed him, saying, "For this quality of Bone Spirit, one month is the shortest timeframe, and there's not much room for improvement."

"I know," Ian's voice was cold, "but there might be better Bone Spirits, or... other ways."

He looked at Severus, who had been silently following a little behind.

Severus hadn't said much since then, only listening carefully to Madam Pomfrey's diagnosis and treatment plan. Now, feeling Ian's gaze, he raised his dark eyes.

"The bone-strengthening products on the market are diluted; they are safe, but slow."

Ian nodded. "A higher purity bone-building agent...maybe I can think of a way, but that alone is not enough. Bone growth needs nutrition and support, and we also need to avoid complications and accelerate the healing process."

Severus understood what he meant.

"I can try to improve the swelling and pain relief solution, and combine it with auxiliary drugs that promote blood circulation and muscle recovery. Theoretically, this could create a better healing environment, but... this requires a higher quality bone-regenerating agent as a foundation, and time is still tight."

"I'll take care of the Bone-Generating Elixir," Ian said firmly. "Severus, I'll leave the supplementary potions to you. Aris, please help calculate the optimal dosing intervals and dosages, as well as Kevin's nutritional supplement plan."

After the division of labor was clearly defined, Ian immediately sent a letter to his mother, Leah, through the family's owl, asking if she could obtain a more effective Bone Regenerator or related potent formulas through St. Mungo's channels.

Leah replied quickly, her tone concerned, but she offered help.

She pointed out that St. Mungo's use of Bone-Generating Elixir does have a higher concentration version, but it is strictly regulated and only used to treat seriously injured patients, and requires strict monitoring.

She could try to apply for a small amount for "teaching research," but it would take time and there was no guarantee.

She also warned that using high concentrations of bone-strengthening agents without authorization carries extremely high risks, potentially accompanied by severe pain, fever, or even abnormal bone growth.

Time waits for no one, and Ian couldn't wait for St. Mungo's approval process.
