"The observatory is in the middle of that forest. To get there, we have to find a way to avoid those plants," Dan Moroboshi said, holding up his binoculars.

Although he knew that the people at the observatory were likely to die, Moroboshi Dan still held a sliver of hope.

"That's easy, just ride Sphia over there." Hoshikawa jumped off the rock, threw out the Gulu Ball, and summoned Sphia.

Dan Moroboshi's eyes lit up; how could he have forgotten about Sphia?

Scia can fly and doesn't need to find a place to land, making it an amazing travel companion.

"Then let's not waste any more time." Dan Moroboshi jumped onto Sphia's back.

Inside the observatory, Hoshikawa removed the spiderwebs from his face: "It's been so long since anyone's been to this observatory; the spiders have made it their home."

He remembered that the observation station on the base screen was clean and bright, but now the observation station looked like no one had been there for years.

Dan Moroboshi wiped the dust off the computer, trying to see if he could turn it on.

After some fiddling, the computer screen lit up, displaying the observer's log.

Hoshikawa leaned closer to the screen: "There are only 7 days of logs, which means those observers encountered an accident after only a week."

Dan Moroboshi wiggled the mouse and opened the first log.

[This is our return to Tatara Island after two years. The island's ecosystem has recovered faster than we imagined, and we've even found a plant we've never seen before, which we've named Sifra.]

After reading the first log, Dan Moroboshi opened the second log, but the second log was just a record of interesting things in life.

The remaining logs remained the same until Hoshikawa and Moroboshi Dan saw the last log, at which point they realized why the observatory had become so dilapidated.

[Sfra has come back to life. It's no ordinary plant. Ida was eaten by the plant, and Matsui was eaten too. This place is a paradise for monsters.]

Dan Moroboshi: "It seems the vines that attacked us are called Slava, and the people at the observatory have all been eaten by Slava."

"But what does 'Monster Paradise' mean? Does it mean there are a lot of monsters here?"

"It might mean exactly what it says. Look outside," Hoshikawa said, pointing out the window.

Looking up, Moroboshi found that Sfra had already surrounded the observatory.

Fortunately, Hoshikawa closed the door when he came in, otherwise Sfra would have rushed in all at once.

"Why don't we just summon Golza and stomp them to death?" Hoshikawa took out a Gulu Ball containing Golza.

"No." Dan Moroboshi stopped Hoshikawa, then pointed to the computer and said, "The data here is still there, and there might even be some useful data. Summoning Golza directly will destroy this place."

"This won't work, that won't work. Even if the data here is useful, so what? This island has already become a paradise for monsters." Hoshikawa ignored him and threw out the Gulu Ball directly.

Regardless of whether the data in the computer is useful or not, the only way to escape this predicament is to throw out the monster.

Moreover, he didn't believe anyone knew that the island was full of monsters and would come to observe it.

As soon as Golza appeared, the Sfras surrounding the observation station retreated, sensing that the monster before them was filled with the aura of fire.

As a plant monster, Sfra hates fire the most.

The scene before him was beyond Hoshikawa's expectations.

He hadn't expected that Golza could scare Sfra away.

The data on the computer was saved in an unexpected way.

Hoshikawa: "Captain, I actually knew from the beginning that these plants were afraid of fire, so I summoned Golza to drive them away."

"Look, Sfra was driven away, the observatory was not damaged, and the data was preserved."

Dan Moroboshi asked with some suspicion, "Was that really what you thought from the beginning?"

He always felt that something was wrong, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Using Golza's intimidation, Hoshikawa and his companion returned to the edge of the forest.

After retrieving Golza, Hoshikawa left the forest and returned to the beach.

The three people who should have arrived earlier were nowhere to be seen. Instead, the two of them, who had gone in the wrong direction, arrived at the beach first.

Dan Moroboshi: "That's strange. Weren't we supposed to meet at the beach? Where are Kishida and the others?"

Hoshikawa: "They might be lost."

Given the complex circumstances and the fact that compasses are useless in the forest, it's quite normal to get lost.

"In that case, let's use a flare to guide them." Dan Moroboshi fired a flare, hoping that Fumio Kishida and the other two would see it.

Shortly after the signal flare was fired, another signal flare was fired from the forest.

Immediately afterwards, Fumio Kishida and his two companions ran out of the forest with torches in their hands.

All three men had varying degrees of bruises on their faces, clearly indicating that they had been attacked.

Hoshikawa joked, "If you're going to do a mission, why are you putting on makeup?"

"Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey!" Kishida Fumio spat out a few leaves, saying bitterly, "We ran into the vines' stronghold. If you hadn't fired a signal flare, we'd probably still be wandering around in the forest."

There were too many Slava in the forest, and Kishida and his two companions had run out of ammunition.

Later, Masaki Keigo realized that plants might be afraid of fire, so he simply made three torches to keep Sifra away.

Aihara Ryu: "Captain, the three of us have run out of ammunition. Why don't we go back to base to rest for a bit, and then come back to find the observers?"

Dan Moroboshi shook his head: "No need. Hoshikawa and I have already been there. The observatory was attacked by Sfra, and all the people inside perished."

He showed the logs on his computer.

Upon hearing this, Kishida Fumio and the other two fell silent.

After a long while, Masaki Keigo spoke up: "It seems this island can be renamed. Let's call it Monster Island from now on."

Dan Moroboshi didn't want to say more, and directed everyone back to their fighter jets and returned to base.

Back in the command room, everyone sat in chairs, with Fumio Kishida staring blankly at the ceiling.

For a long time to come, he didn't want to see long plants.

Looking at the three listless people, Ota Yuka asked Hoshikawa what had happened.

Hoshikawa: "Nothing much, I was just tortured by a plant monster."

Yuka Ota: "Plant monster!"

Hoshikawa: "The monster is called Sfra. The forests on that island are full of these monsters."

Upon hearing that the island was full of plant monsters, Ota Yuka couldn't wait to go to Tatara Island to catch two of them.

Just then, the base's alarm sounded. Ota Yuka went to the computer and quickly typed on the keyboard: "Captain, a monster has appeared on Istanbul Island."

Soon, the large screen displayed images taken by the satellite.

In the image, a monster with a crimson body and a silver-gray chest and abdomen, resembling a pterosaur, emits a sharp cry under the moonlight.
