New Ultraman: Monster Training Master

Chapter 36: Subduing the King of Civil War!

"No, there are more and more vines. We have to find a way to get out of here." Kishida Fumio fired his gun as he retreated.

Sfra seemed to know that Hoshikawa and the others wanted to escape, so he sent out some of his own to block their retreat and disrupt their formation.

"Evacuate separately, we'll meet at the beach."

After saying that, Hoshikawa led Dan Moroboshi to break through from the right.

The other three broke through from the left.

As Hoshikawa broke through from the right, he realized something was wrong; this direction didn't seem to lead to the beach.

Looking at the lava field ahead, Dan Moroboshi realized, "We seem to have gone the wrong way; there's a lava field ahead."

Hoshikawa stood at the edge of the forest and looked back, discovering that Sfra was suspended at the edge of the lava field.

Just as he expected, Sfra could only stay in the dense forest and could not set foot in the lava area.

The dense forest is a paradise for plant monsters like Sfra, while the lava zone is a paradise for large monsters like Red King.

Hoshikawa found a rock and sat down: "The magnetic field on the island is too strong; the compass is completely ineffective."

Hayata and the others in Ultraman at least went to the observation station.

Before they even reached the observation post, they were attacked by Sfra.

Dan Moroboshi took out a communicator, and after confirming that it was not working, he replaced the energy storage device of the Victory Hyper Gun with a signal flare.

Before the signal flare was even fired, the earth shook violently, and a monster with a completely black body crawled out of the ground.

The subterranean monster [Magra].

A timid monster that has always lived underground.

It was also the only monster that was taken down by just two grenades.

Dan Moroboshi replaced the red memory with the white memory for attack.

"We don't even need guns to deal with this monster, these will suffice." Hoshikawa took out two grenades.

Dan Moroboshi: "Why do you carry grenades with you?"

"It's a secret." Hoshikawa pulled the pin and threw two grenades under Magra.

Boom!

The loud noise terrified Magella, who ran away in all directions until he crashed into a rock and passed out.

Not dead? In the original storyline, Magella was killed by two grenades.

It seems that in this chaotic world, even monsters are a little different.

Just as Hoshikawa was about to finish off Magra with a shot to get 5 Monster Coins, a huge rock flew from afar and hit Magra on the head, stealing the kill.

Immediately afterwards, a corn-shaped head popped out from behind the cliff, chuckling incessantly.

"It's Superpower, oops, it's Red King." Hoshikawa slapped his mouth.

It's all because of his title "Civil War God of Illusion," which makes him always slip up.

Hoshikawa summoned Golza to fight Red King. Fearing that Golza would be no match for Red King, he summoned Sphia to possess Magra's corpse.

He refused to believe that Red King could trigger the title of God of War in the Civil War even when attacked by two monsters.

At first, Golza and Sphia were indeed able to overpower Red King by fighting two against one.

But the two beasts soon discovered that Red King was getting more and more excited as they fought, and that he would slap himself twice before each attack.

Hoshikawa: "Golza, throw stones at it."

"Roar!" Golza roared, grabbed the largest rock, and threw it at Red King.

Faced with the flying boulder, Red King neither dodged nor flinched, but tilted his head and stared blankly at the stone.

boom--

The boulder made intimate contact with Red King's head, and the intense pain caused it to jump around and constantly stroke its face with both hands.

Once the pain subsided somewhat, it also picked up a huge rock, preparing to hurl it at Golza.

After Hoshikawa aimed the Hyper gun at Red King's left eye, he immediately emptied the energy from the storage device.

Red King's left eye exploded instantly, and the stone in his hand fell, hitting his foot.

Even in this situation, Red King's first thought was not to escape, but to continue fighting.

Hoshikawa: "You're better than a spineless coward, I acknowledge you."

He really liked the Red King in front of him; it was seriously injured but still managed to fight back, which was perfect for the system's fifth open slot.

Hoshikawa took out three Gulu Balls from the warehouse. These were the balls that appeared in the warehouse along with Golza when the system was activated.

I hadn't encountered a suitable monster before, so I hadn't taken it out.

"Go, subdue Red King for me." Hoshikawa forcefully threw the Gulu Ball at Red King's feet.

The sphere bounced open, and a dazzling red light burst forth, enveloping Red King like a vortex of positive energy and pulling him into the sphere.

Under Hoshikawa's watchful gaze, the Gulu Ball landed on the ground, shaking violently. Once, twice, the shaking became more and more intense. With a crisp sound, the cover popped open, and Red King broke free of his restraints, leaping back to his original spot.

Hoshikawa wasn't surprised by this; if Red King could be caught with just one ball, it wouldn't be in line with its character.

Hoshikawa: "Golza, Sphia, use all your strength to beat Red King until he can't move."

Upon hearing this, Golza also stopped holding back and released an ultrasonic beam.

Sphia Magra chose to rush forward and bite Red King's foot.

"Ah!" Red King roared as he was struck by the ultrasonic beam, slamming his right fist into Sphia Magra's back, but the latter seemed unmoved, as if he could not feel the pain.

Time passed slowly, and the severely injured Red King also felt tired, barely able to lift his right hand.

"Now's the time!" Hoshikawa seized the opportunity and threw out another ball.

Red King transformed into a stream of light once again and entered the Gulu Ball. After a violent shaking, the ball's lid exploded once more.

Even though he couldn't lift his right hand, Red King was still able to escape Gooru Ball's capture.

Hoshikawa exclaimed in surprise, "How could it escape capture? It seems we underestimated this Red King."

Almost no part of Red King's body was intact; many places had visible wounds.

If other monsters had such injuries, they would most likely die instantly.

Perhaps having exhausted his last bit of strength in breaking free from the ball, Red King collapsed to the ground and began to snore.

Seeing this, Hoshikawa tossed the last Gulu Ball in his hand to Red King's feet.

"Ding!" A crisp notification sound rang out, and several small golden stars floated out from the top of the sphere, flashing and disappearing.

[Successfully subdued Red King]

The Gulu Ball flew into Hoshikawa's hand in a perfect arc.

Before he could even feel happy, a notification popped up in front of him.

[Red King is severely injured. Would you like to consume 5 Monster Coins to recover?]

"Yes." Hoshikawa did not hesitate and chose to spend 5 Monster Coins to heal Red King's injuries.

He was initially worried that the captured monsters might need magic springs to heal their injuries, just like in the game.

He breathed a sigh of relief upon learning that he only needed to spend Monster Coins.

After all, there is no magic spring in this world.

[Successfully consumed 5 Monster Coins, Red King has recovered his health]

Hoshikawa retrieved the Gulu Ball, intending to check Red King's panel later when he had more time.

He had a feeling that this Red King would surprise him.
