The Bizarre Adventure of the Warhammer Guard
Chapter 26 The Blue Star Matter Concluded
The roar of the Thunderhawk gunboats filled the air as Commander Corvo led a company of Astartes to deal with the Chaos invasion.
"Chapter Commander Corvo," Loken emerged from the secret chamber, seeing the newly arrived Astartes of the Nova Warriors Chapter, "we have a general understanding of the situation here, and we still need to deal with the Xenomorph leader."
"The soldiers of the first company will assist you, Ranger." Corvo surveyed the surroundings. "In less than a hundred years, will these demons return?"
The Ranger, also known as Loken. To conceal his identity, Loken not only painted his armor black but also refused to reveal his real name, referring to himself as "the Ranger" in front of outsiders.
After all, the name Gavial Loken, the leader of the traitors and commander of the 10th Company of the Sons of Horus, was still known to many. Although he himself was a loyalist, Loken decided to conceal his identity to avoid unnecessary trouble.
"Everything here must be destroyed," Corvo continued, turning to look at the mortal troops supporting each other. "The rest of the mortal troops, retreat to the assembly point. The rest are ours."
After saying this, some of the Astartes followed Loken to destroy the Lord of Chaos, while others stayed behind to follow the Chapter Master in using holy flames to destroy any potential Chaos contamination.
Soon after, by reading Miranda's research materials, Loken quickly led everyone to the place where the fungus master was hiding.
It was a huge, oval sphere, tens of meters tall, resembling a giant heart. Its surface was rough and uneven, and its overall color was a mixture of dark red and gray. At its top were many tentacles, each several meters long, swaying irregularly.
With the arrival of the Space Marines, the Creature seemed to sense its impending doom, constantly shrinking and expanding as if calling for its kin. But alas, there was no response. All the heretics in the area had been wiped out, and the alien was now all alone.
The Astartes casually trampled the parasites writhing on the ground before approaching the Fungus Lord; these parasites might be the Xenomorphs' last line of defense.
"The thermal bomb has been installed."
Following a series of reminders from Astartes, everyone retreated to a safe location.
"Boom..." A massive sound wave crashed against the surrounding rocks, sending countless fragments raining down. The alien leader instantly transformed into a giant fireball.
Seconds later, everything returned to calm. The spot where the fungus had been was completely empty, not even a speck of ash remained. If it weren't for the lingering smell of burning in the air, no one would have known that a colossal creature had just been there.
After several checks and probes, Loken found no other anomalies and returned to the assembly point with the others.

The operation, which took place in a small village on the Romanian border, ended with almost everything inside being razed to the ground.
On Earth, Leon and Ada were left behind to continue handling the various matters related to human integration. All organizations and individuals who disobeyed or refused to join the human empire were executed, and hundreds of thousands of stubborn and foolish civilians were subjected to a bloody crackdown.
The company called Umbrella was also uprooted, and countless underground bases hidden around the world were discovered. Umbrella's inhumane experiments also aroused people's contempt.
Their management, driven to desperation, injected themselves with various viruses they had researched, most of which mutated into bizarre, inhuman creatures; only a few managed to "evolve." Ultimately, they were all wiped out by UN forces.
Finally, a unified planetary government was established, with the Grand Elder as the planet's governor and the presidents of the Beautiful Country and the Bear Country as his deputies.
A group of mortal troops from the Star Guardian Army and the Imperial Navy, as well as tech priests from the Cult of Mechanics, also stayed behind to help with the construction of Earth.
In the following years, countless advanced technologies were introduced to Earth, while the ancient techniques of Earth were also learned and mastered by the Tech Priests. While praising the God of Machines, they disassembled and studied the technological creations of Earth, and these priests actually managed to develop some new technologies.
When this news reached Mars, countless priests, sages, and even forging generals became interested in Blue Star. After some exchanges, the Mechanicus prepared to transform Mars II, a planet in the Blue Star system that closely resembled Terra, into a forging world.
Elpis also stayed behind, establishing a military operations base on one of Blue Star's satellites, where other Imperial troops would also be stationed.
He planned to transform this place into a selection base for Earth's mortal forces and the Astartes, where all Imperial chapters could select their recruits. Of course, Elpis would prioritize selecting certain talents to join his expeditionary force.
Meanwhile, because the Mechanicus was eager to study Earth's technology, Elpis also signed an agreement with the Mars Forging General.
The agreement stipulated that Elpis agreed to allow Mars to reside in the Blue Star System and would allocate Mars II in the Blue Star System to the Cult of Mechanisms; in return, Mars promised to provide the Imperial Guard with a Queen Glory-class battleship.
Mars's Forging General initially disagreed with this exchange, but when the Imperial Guard Marshal Constantine Waldo, wielding the Spear of the Sun, and Elpis, wielding the Spear of the Moon, stood before him, Mars very quickly agreed to Elpis's proposal.
Throughout the Empire's propaganda, it was the Imperial Guard that discovered this blue star system, and that the Imperial Guard forces, with the Nova Warriors Chapter assisting, conquered it. Elpis, meanwhile, successfully remained hidden behind the scenes, arousing no suspicion.
Doraemon the Sage also came to Earth. After hearing the news about Earth, he requested to come to the Earth system to help Elpis establish a military operations base, and at the same time, he could also research some new gadgets.
After decades of development, the military fortress complex on the Blue Star satellite has been completed, and a planetary defense force composed of Blue Star natives has been established and is stationed in the satellite's military fortresses.
Meanwhile, Blue Star is also developing well. Huge defense platforms and space bases float in Blue Star's orbit, connecting to the steel nest city under construction.
Elpis stood at the base of the satellite military fortress, looking at the troops he had selected and trained over the decades. In the words of the Sage of Om, "They are natural-born progenitor virus adaptors."
Chris Redfield, the commander of the village operation, successfully joined Loken's ranks, becoming a Shadowmoon Wolf. Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Shirley Birkin, and other mortal warriors also joined Elpis's forces.
Jill was a member of the UN forces that once eradicated heretics on Earth, though not in Chris's team; Claire is Chris's sister; and Sherry is the little girl Claire brought back from Raccoon City during the Raccoon City incident. These three have the highest viral compatibility and currently serve as captains of the mortal combat unit.
At that moment, a communication was transmitted through the Imperial Guard's encrypted channel to Elpis's communicator. After reviewing it, he boarded the cruiser.
"Sir, where are you going?"
"Sessala".
