As the one who killed Superman's father, Lilith's danger level is listed as the highest. In order to successfully capture or kill Lilith, [Explosive Art] temporarily formed a special force.

"Leonhard, an A-class hero, has the ability to turn any object he touches into an absolutely rigid body. When used on living beings, he can instantly annihilate any life."

This team is led by Leonhard, who is both the captain and the executioner after the failed capture of Lilith. With him around, the worst outcome of this operation is that both sides will suffer heavy losses...

[Explosion Art] stood in front of the group, pointing to a black-haired, black-eyed boy, and continued to introduce him to Adeline.

In this team, the ability to transform objects into absolutely rigid bodies is not the most terrifying thing; there are many other abilities such as psychic powers and the distortion of common sense.

The reason for this is that, according to known information, Lilith does not have strong combat power; her combat power relies entirely on the giant dragon that usually appears in human form.

Therefore, the plan to capture Lilith was to use psychic abilities or distortions of common sense to render her non-aggressive. If execution became unavoidable, these abilities could also be used to temporarily restrain Amelia, giving Leonhard the opportunity to kill Lilith.

After [Explosive Art] finished introducing the assassination squad's personnel and capabilities, he looked at Adeline and calmly began:

"When you meet Lilith three days later, don't be nervous. We won't arrest her immediately after she appears; that's when she's most vigilant."

All you have to do is stall for time, use your shared memories to lower her guard, and assure her not to worry about safety. After all, you know the situation with this team, and we are very well prepared.

As he spoke, [Explosion Art] patted Adeline on the shoulder, as if to tell her not to worry, or as if to tell her to be mentally prepared.

Adeline didn't answer, but just nodded silently...

Three days passed in the blink of an eye. During these days, Adeline was restless. She couldn't imagine how to face Lilith, who had killed Superman's father, but she knew that the scene would be very ugly.

Before setting off, [Explosive Art] noticed Adeline's unease, coughed twice, and reassured him:

"Trust us, you will get out unscathed."

Hearing this, Adeline calmed down. She nodded to [Explosion Art] and flew towards Lilith's house, following the direction she remembered.

Not long after, Adeline arrived at Lilith's house. Standing in front of the door, she thought she could easily knock, but when her fingers were an inch away from the wooden door, her hand suddenly stopped in mid-air.

She recalled the memories of her time with Lilith, so beautiful and so nostalgic, but before she could continue reminiscing, the mangled corpse of Daddy Superman suddenly intruded into that memory.

Adeline's face paled, she pulled her hand away from the wooden door, took a half step back, not knowing how to face Lilith, nor did she want to face Lilith. As she was about to meet Lilith, she had the thought of running away.

Just then, the door opened by sheer coincidence, and Lilith stood in the doorway, smiled at her, then stepped aside and said:

"You're here. Why are you standing here without knocking? Come in."

Upon seeing Lilith, Adeline was taken aback. She had expected to feel angry, terrified, and panicked upon seeing Lilith, but strangely, she remained calm, as if she were not facing the murderer who killed Superman's father, but simply Lilith, her friend.

After entering the room, Adeline found a place to sit down. She looked at Lilith, who had followed her, and after a few seconds of silence, asked a question:

How have you been lately?

"recent?"

Lilith was somewhat surprised when Adeline asked her this question. She had thought that Adeline would angrily question her about why she killed Superman's father and say some hurtful things. However, when she saw her, she simply asked, "How have you been lately?"

"Me? I'm fine. How are you doing? Superman's father's death must have been very sad for you."

Since Adeline didn't ask about Superman's father, Lilith brought it up herself.

As expected, Adeline's breathing became noticeably more rapid after hearing Lilith say "Superman Daddy." She stared at Lilith and asked:

"So, did you really kill Superman's father?"

Lilith said:

"Of course I killed him. I confessed three days ago."

"I thought you had some kind of hidden reason, or that you were being instructed by someone..."

Adeline let out a long sigh of relief and asked a crucial question:

"What was your reason for killing him? Can you tell me?"

[That's a great question]

Lilith was quite satisfied with this. The reason she arranged to meet Adeline here was not on a whim, but to disguise herself as a sinner and complete the second side quest, "[Infamous]".

So naturally, we can't say here, "Superman's dad is an alien who's going to invade Earth." Lilith smiled, a smile with a hint of madness, and said:

"As the strongest hero on Earth, as long as Daddy Superman is alive, my actions will be restricted in every way."

Pretending to be a good person is exhausting. I might as well just get rid of him. That way, I can do whatever I want on Earth.

"Is this your reason for killing Superman's father?"

"Isn't that reason enough?"

Hearing Lilith's words, Adeline's breathing became more rapid. She stared into Lilith's eyes, unable to believe that she had killed Superman's father for such a ridiculous reason.

"You...you bastard!"

Adeline cursed, but clearly, her words had no effect. She lowered her head, no longer looking at Lilith's face, and chose to ask the last question that had been lingering in her mind:

"So why did you want to see me? Are you just trying to disgust me?"

"You're overthinking it. I'm not that bored."

Lilith smiled and then revealed an even more terrifying truth:

"I just thought it would be troublesome if someone mistakenly thought we had a good relationship and used you to threaten me. So, to avoid that situation, I thought of luring you here and then killing you."

"Is that so...?"

Adeline gave a bitter laugh, then looked back at Lilith and made one last request:

"So, before we die, can we be friends one last time?"

Upon hearing this, Lilith was taken aback. She stared at Adeline, unable to understand why she would say such a thing, but seeing that she was about to cry, she quickly agreed.

Lilith had no idea that Adeline's words were merely a delaying tactic.

When the special forces arrived, the unsuspecting Lilith was easily captured. Since she was a summoner who had no combat power without summoned beasts, she was completely powerless to resist the special forces...
