I am the Executioner Dragon, but a cute mod.

Chapter 52: Conclusive Evidence

After Daddy Superman disappeared, the League of Legends is now run by [Explosive Art], one of the five heroes who created the League of Legends. Even though he is 93 years old this year, his superb combat ability and seniority make his appointment undisputed.

Initially, Nader and Adeline had to go through a lot of complicated procedures to see him, but after Adeline said, "We know a clue about Superman's dad," they were quickly taken to [Explosive Art]'s office...

In the not-so-large office, a thin old man with white hair and beard sat in a chair. Even though he looked like someone who needed help even to go to the toilet, his eyes were not cloudy, but rather gleamed with shrewdness.

"Tell me, what do you know about Xiaofu's disappearance?"

[Explosion Art] rested his chin on his hands, his tone devoid of emotion. He calmly looked at the group, quietly awaiting the outcome.

Looking at the old man who exuded an inexplicable sense of oppression, Adeline swallowed hard and was about to speak when Nader beat him to it.

Nader said:

"Recently, there have been many news reports online about Dragon Knight killing Superman's dad. Although it seems like a rumor spread by someone with ulterior motives, the disappearance of Dragon Knight and Superman's dad still made me realize that something was wrong."

To uncover the truth behind this, I searched high and low, and only recently learned from Dragon Knight that she killed Superman's father...

"So, the Dragon Knight killed Akio?"

[Explosion Art] ignored Nader's inappropriate and rude remark, and murmured, receiving an affirmative reply from Nader:

"It's highly likely. Although we don't know how she killed Superman's dad, she made an appointment with Adeline to meet at her house three days later. This is our chance."

Upon hearing Nader's words, Adeline's face darkened. In her eyes, there was clearly no concrete evidence that Lilith had killed Superman's father, yet Nader was convinced that Lilith had killed Superman's father. Was he trying to take this opportunity to get revenge for the punch he received at her birthday party?

No, we can't let him make things worse. I have to remind the old man.

With this in mind, Adlin followed suit shortly after Nadezhda's speech:

"Things aren't as he says. Lilith did admit that she killed Superman's dad, but did she really have the ability to kill Superman's dad?"

I think someone killed Superman's father and then framed Lilith. Lilith confessed because she was actually asking us for help.

"Should I call for help...?"

After listening to Lilith and Nader's words, [Explosive Art] pondered for a few seconds. His gaze swept across the faces before him, observing panic, dissatisfaction, or worry. In short, he didn't immediately believe their words, but instead spoke to himself:

"I understand. Please don't publicize this matter. Whatever the truth may be, I will handle it. Thank you all for your hard work."

After saying that, [Explosion Art] stopped talking and closed his eyes to rest. His attitude was clear: he wanted the others to leave on their own.

The group did not insist on staying and left on their own.

After leaving the office, the three walked side by side in silence until they reached the League of Legends headquarters. Only then did Nader turn to Adeline and speak:

"I know what you're thinking. You're probably thinking: This guy is exaggerating the situation to get revenge on Lilith for that punch, right?"

After knowing me for so long, do you really think I'm that kind of person? This incident has made you lose your basic ability to think.

Do you remember what Superman's dad taught us? He said that to minimize losses, you must think of the worst-case scenario and give your all in everything you do.

After speaking, Nader didn't linger but left without looking back. Adlin stood there, Nader's words echoing in her mind. Although Nader's words made a lot of sense, she still stubbornly believed:

"No doubts are valid unless there is concrete evidence."

When she said those words, her expression was incredibly resolute, but not long after, that resoluteness shattered like porcelain dropped on the ground. Shortly after leaving the League of Legends headquarters, [Explosive Art] sent someone to summon her back...

At this moment, [Explosive Art] and Adeline stand in front of an operating table, on which lies the former strongest hero of Earth: Superman Daddy.

Now, he lies on the operating table, his face pale and his body cold, his body forcibly cut in two by external force.

Seeing this scene, Adeline stood there stunned for a moment. When she came to her senses, her face turned pale and her stomach churned. Seeing her idol in this state, she felt a great sadness in her heart.

"How...how could this be?"

Adeline took two steps back, unable to look at the corpse any longer. She turned to [Explosive Art], her voice trembling:

"Have you had a DNA test done? What if it's just a matter of appearance?"

"...It was done, and it was Wei Xiao himself who did it."

[Explosion Art] sighed, looking at his old friend, who was in the prime of his life, lying quietly on the operating table, unable to believe that he had died before him.

It's truly like a dream...

[Explosion Art] looked at Adeline and began to explain the ins and outs of the matter:

"Shortly after you left, Xiaofu's body appeared at headquarters. We didn't see how the body appeared, even after reviewing the surveillance footage."

Whether it was intentional or accidental, we found a strand of purple hair on Xiaofu's body. It must be from your friend Lilith.

"You mean... Lilith really is the murderer who killed Superman's dad?"

Adeline stared tremblingly at [Explosive Art], seemingly ready to accept the truth.

[Explosion Art] nodded; the answer was obvious:

"It now appears that Lilith is the murderer who killed Xiaofu. I just used my privileges and found no trace of her in or around the megacity."

I heard you mention before that Lilith asked you to meet her at her house in three days? Is that true?

Adlin said:

"Yes, that's what she said on the phone, and Hilton heard it clearly."

"That's good."

[Explosive Art]'s tone was tinged with coldness as he uttered a sentence that made Adeline's heart race:

"Go see her as usual in three days. I will arrange for a team to capture her. If all else fails, execute her on the spot."

Execute on the spot...

These four words weighed heavily on Adeline's heart like a boulder. She recalled the time she spent with Lilith and felt a pang of guilt.

But when she caught a glimpse of Superman's father's body out of the corner of her eye, she clenched her fists tightly and made up her mind:

"She brought this on herself; after all, she killed Superman's father, and she deserved it..."
