Chapter 106 Hemophiliac Vine

Linden stared blankly at the hemophilia flowers in his hand.

As for the guard who ate the flower, he knelt on the ground in agony and vomited a pool of foul-smelling liquid.

When he looked up at Lyndon, there was not a trace of confusion in his eyes.

"Mr. Philip, what happened?"

The guard seemed to have forgotten everything that had just happened. He saw Lyndon and was about to ask what had happened when another crazed guard lunged at him.

"what!"

He let out a scream, and was then pinned down by his companion.

His deranged companion grabbed him by the neck, and the guard's face immediately turned bright red.

"It's me! Are you crazy! Let go!"

The guard was pinned to the ground, his legs struggling wildly as he tried to break free.

His companion, however, acted as if he hadn't heard, simply widening his eyes and giving him a chilling smile.

Just as the guard felt he was about to die, Lyndon suddenly intervened. He picked up a rifle from the ground, strode forward, and knocked the guy pinning the guard down with the butt of the rifle.

The guard, who had nearly suffocated, gasped for breath, his back soaked with cold sweat that mingled with the mud on the ground.

He scrambled behind Lyndon, grabbing Lyndon's trouser leg and saying, "What happened to him? How did he become like this!"

Lyndon coldly watched the guy get up from the ground. The guy had been beaten bloody by Lyndon, but he seemed oblivious to the pain and continued to pounce on Lyndon like a madman.

Upon seeing this, a fierce glint flashed in Lyndon's eyes.

He grabbed the guy's arm, then turned sideways, hooked his foot around the guy's ankle, and successfully flipped him to the ground.

Lyndon gripped the man's wrist tightly and yelled at the guards beside him, "What are you looking at! Quickly stuff the flowers from the vines into his mouth!"

Hearing Lyndon's roar, the panicked guards seemed to regain their senses and scrambled to pick a few small flowers from the vines that were entwining the tree.

"What are you standing there for? Hurry up and stuff it in!"

Lyndon pressed down on his crazed companion and urged him on.

Konoe hurriedly pried open his companion's mouth and stuffed the flower inside. To prevent his companion from refusing to eat, he even used his finger to push it down his throat.

After the person ate the flower and vomited a foul-smelling liquid from their stomach, they finally returned to normal.

Seeing this, Lyndon also released the man's arm.

"What happened to me? Ouch! My head hurts so much! And why is there blood!"

After the person returned to normal, they were completely bewildered, having no idea what had just happened.

But there's no time now to let these two sort out the whole story.

Lyndon kicked each of them once, then ripped vines off the tree and threw them into their hands.

"Alright, we can talk about this later. Right now, the most important thing is to get the rest of you back to normal."

As he spoke, Lyndon removed the bullets from his rifle and used it as a stick.

He looked at the people fighting amongst themselves and turned to ask, "What are your names?"

The two men were taken aback for a moment, then said, "My name is Tiger."

"My name is Jack."

Lyndon nodded and said, "Tiger, Jack, you two listen up. Every time I take someone down, you go up and stuff the flower into their mouths, understand?"

Upon hearing this, Tiger and Jack quickly nodded and replied, "Understood!"

"Alright, let's begin!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Lyndon rushed into the fighting crowd.

Lyndon's eyes were sharp, and he moved nimbly through the frenzied crowd, dodging attack after attack.

The Howell rifle in his hand had become his most suitable weapon at that moment.

boom! boom! boom!

The dull thuds of impact echoed as Lyndon gripped the barrel and brandished his rifle.

He controlled his strength, ensuring that each swing was enough to knock him to the ground without killing him.

"quick!"

Lyndon struck another guard on the back of the head with the butt of his rifle.

The guard froze for a moment, then swayed and fell to the ground.

Tiger and Jack, who had been waiting for a long time, saw someone fall down again and quickly ran over to pull the person aside.

"This is it. Where are the flowers?" Tiger pried open the man's mouth, frowning in disgust. "My God, this guy's breath tastes worse than my grandma's cheese pie."

"Stop talking nonsense, Mr. Philip has taken down another one!" Jack said, stuffing all the flowers in his hand into the pot and shoving his fingers in hard!

Tiger, however, was unhappy. He grabbed Jack's hand and complained, "Damn it, you used up all the flowers! What about the people behind us?"

Jack smacked Tiger on the head and yelled, "Did Mr. Philip knock your brains out? There are vines everywhere, you think there won't be any flowers?"

As he spoke, Jack slapped Tiger on the head again: "Now go pick some flowers!"

For the rest of the time, this scene repeated itself in the woods.

Every time Lyndon knocked someone unconscious, Tiger and Jack would drag them aside and stuff the flowers they had picked into their mouths.

Soon, all the guards who had gone mad from ingesting the spores, including Ryder, were knocked to the ground by Lyndon.

Lyndon dropped his gun, looked around, and turned back to ask, "Have you fed all the flowers?"

"This is the last one." Jack shoved the flower into Ryder's mouth, stood up, and clapped his hands. "Now it's all over!"

Fortunately, Lyndon discovered in time that the flowers on the hemophiliac vine could eliminate the effects of the spores, so these people only suffered some injuries and no one died.

Suddenly, Lyndon frowned; he noticed that one of the people lying on the ground was missing.

"Where is Cecilia?"

Lyndon then realized that Cecilia was nowhere to be seen.

"Cecilia! Cecilia!"

Lyndon anxiously called Cecilia's name from nearby.

But no one responded for a long time.

Just as Lyndon was wondering if something had happened to Cecilia, a noise suddenly came from behind a tree next to him.

Lyndon followed the sound and found Cecilia huddled under a tree, looking disheveled. She was trembling, clutching her scalp with one hand and holding a knife in the other, pointing it at Lyndon with a terrified look in her eyes.

"Cecilia!" Lyndon's heart tightened. He was about to step forward to check on Cecilia's condition when, unexpectedly, Cecilia swung her knife at him.

"Get away! Get away! Don't come near me! You damned monster!"

Cecilia frantically waved the sharp knife in her hand.

At this moment, in her eyes, the person in front of her was not Lyndon at all, but a ghoul with an extremely ugly body and appearance.

Upon seeing this, Lyndon quickly disarmed Cecilia and firmly restrained her body.

But Cecilia continued to struggle, and she even began chanting the Light Burst Spell.

Points of light began to gather in her palm.

"don't want!"

Lyndon's pupils contracted sharply. He quickly released Cecilia and then picked a flower from the tree behind him.

He grabbed Cecilia by the neck and shoved the flower into her mouth.

As Lyndon's fingers moved up and down, Cecilia swallowed the flower.

Cecilia, who had swallowed the flower, quickly regained her senses.

She slumped to the ground in the mud, her blond hair disheveled as she looked at Lyndon in front of her.

Cecilia's eyes were red and swollen, with tears glistening in the corners.

"Philip————"

Cecilia murmured softly.

"It's me." Seeing that Cecilia had finally regained her senses, Lyndon knelt down and gently wiped the mud off Cecilia's face.

Lyndon even made a witty remark to her: "Have you ever seen the play 'The Sweeping Princess'? I think you look quite like the princess from there, all dirty and messy."

With tears in her eyes, Cecilia raised her hand and punched Lyndon in the chest.

She sobbed a few times, then threw herself into Lyndon's arms, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck and burying her face in his shoulder.

"I had a terrible dream. I saw you die, and many people died—"

Lyndon patted Cecilia's back gently and said softly, "Don't be afraid. Dreams are the opposite of reality. No one will die. You won't, and neither will I."

Lyndon looked down at Cecilia's red, tear-filled eyes, brushed the stray hairs from her forehead, and asked, "Can you still stand up?"

""

"My leg feels numb—" Cecilia said, touching her ankle.

"Then let me help you walk," Lyndon said, carefully helping Cecilia toward where the others were.

When Lyndon got there, he found that Ryder and the others were already awake.

Ryder leaned against a tree, his eyes blank as he looked at the wounded group. He seemed unable to believe that they had survived this situation again, despite their injuries.

Seeing Lyndon help Cecilia back, Ryder said, "Tiger and Jack both told me, thank you."

Lyndon waved his hand and said calmly, "I found out by accident, and it was for my own sake. There's nothing to thank me for."

Just then, Tiger and Jack's voices came from the woods.

"Ryder!"

The two of them carried a corpse to the crowd.

"That's the guy who shot arrows in the woods earlier, that despicable bastard! He deserved to die a more painful death!"

Tiger kicked the corpse twice with a look of utter contempt.

Hearing this, everyone gathered around and pointed at the corpse.

Lyndon also saw the true face of the corpse at this moment.

The corpse was draped in a dark cloak and had a hole the size of a thumb in its throat.

Lyndon was very familiar with the cloak, as this was the third time he had seen one like it.

The first time I caught the owner of the smirking ghost.

The second instance is in the hunter's recollection.

The third time is now.

"They really are from the Dream Weaver Society. It seems that all the dangers along the way were their doing."

Lyndon stared at the corpse, lost in thought.

Suddenly, he saw Ryder walking alone, looking lost and dejected, into the depths of the woods.

Lyndon sensed something was wrong, so he turned to the guard beside him and said, "Hey bro, is your gun loaded?"

"Yes, there are five more."

"Can I use the gun? You're so strong, a knife would suit you better."

As he spoke, Lyndon swapped his knife for the guard's gun.

Having obtained the gun, Lyndon told Cecilia to wait for him there, then picked up the gun and followed in the direction Ryder had left.

"Yes, sir, the operation encountered some unexpected problems, but I will definitely capture those damned infidels. Yes, that's right. Don't worry, sir. As long as I can find them, I can handle it all by myself without your guards needing to lift a finger."

Ryder was hiding in the woods, talking to someone on an Ether communicator.

He was completely unaware of Lyndon behind him.

Lyndon slowly raised his gun and pressed the muzzle against Ryder's head.

Ryder felt a cold touch on the back of his head. He closed his eyes and gripped the Ethercomer even tighter.

"Yes, sir, I can assure you, but I have other matters to attend to now, so I'll hang up now."

With that, Ryder hung up the phone and turned around to see who it was.

Lyndon was holding a gun, staring coldly at him.

"Mr. Philip, what made you decide to point a gun at me?" Ryder asked, feigning nonchalance.

"You deceived me, concealing the real danger from me, forcing me to deal with these troubles." After a long silence, Lyndon continued, "Now tell me, what is the real purpose of your trip, and what grudge does the Dreamweaver Society have against you?"
