Warhammer 40: Saviors Emerging from the Bottom

Chapter 82 The Angry Orc Warlord

The meteorite was nothing to the Void Shield on the outer perimeter of the Starport, but in order to prevent it from taking too much damage and overloading prematurely, the Mechanicus Sages assisting the Starport garrison decided to intercept it.

Amid hymns praising the Omega Messiah, dozens of missiles burst from the launch pad and hurtled toward the meteorite that the green-skinned soldiers had named "Big Guy."

They precisely located the weak points of the meteorite according to the pre-written commands of the mechanics priest.

According to the deductions of the Thinker (a computer with a wet component processor) in the command center, the meteorite's volume will be reduced by half after this bombardment.

The Imperial soldiers could not see what was happening tens of thousands of meters in the air with their naked eyes. All they knew was that as dozens of dazzling lights streaked across the sky, the ridiculously large meteorite shattered instantly.

The shockwave from the explosion created a small sandstorm in space, sending many smaller rocks flying a distance before they came to rest.

The rocks, having lost their power, drifted slowly in the weightless environment of space. Some even became obstacles for the orcs to launch attacks. The green-skinned weapons, designed with the core concept of "great strength makes rocks fly," couldn't distinguish what was in front of them.

Seeing that the massive creature they had launched was about to be destroyed, an enraged Hograk raised his power claws and swatted away the shrew next to him who was holding a Skull drink.

"Tell those smart kids that no matter what method they use, they can't let those shrimp bombs blow the big guy into a small guy."

The warlord's fierce expression made his guards tremble, and no barbarian dared to breathe loudly at such a moment.

The orc guard closest to the gate swallowed hard, hurriedly opened the gate, and ran towards the location of the powerful warriors.

Seeing the open gate, the slow-moving orc guards had no choice but to stop. They stood silently in place, trembling with fear as their leader's power claws could strike at any moment.

That cool big claw can really hurt when it hits a green-skinned dog; if you get hit by it, you'll be sitting on the ground for half a day.

Fortunately, a brave warrior stepped forward and drew Hograk's attention away from them.

"Boss, I have an idea."

An orc wizard wearing a Skull wig rubbed his hands together and stepped out from the corner. The unidentified tattoos on his body and the staff made from an orc skull on his back proved his professionalism to the greenskins present.

Unfortunately, Hograk, still furious, wasn't having any of it. It glared at the other with its scarlet eyes and said, "Then why aren't you doing it yet? Are you waiting for me to kick your ass?"

"Yes, sir! I will definitely let those yellow human shrimps see the divine power bestowed by Brother Mao."

The orc psionicist, having received approval, scurried off. It needed to reach the high platform on the surface of the battle moon to use its psionic energy to restore the shattered meteorite to its state before it was hit by the missile.

However, the naive orc wizard seemed to have forgotten one thing: humans would not give him that chance.

It had only run a few dozen meters when the second wave of missiles fired by the Starport garrison blasted the "big guy" into pieces.

Due to inertia, many of the larger rocks didn't have time to brake and crashed directly into the void shield surrounding the starport.

They splashed up ripples as if entering the water.

Unlike other rocks, these rocks didn't sink to the bottom of the water; instead, they were thrown into the subspace, and it's unknown whether any unlucky demons might get hit by them.

In the simple values of the green skin, big is good, big is strong.

A meteorite that big could easily break through the shield of a human shrimp, but now it's broken. Something must have gone wrong.

Hograk didn't know what the problem was, but that didn't stop him from being angry.

"I'm so angry! Tell those guys to get ready, I'm going to make these shrimps regret this!"

The power claw, crafted by the master craftsman with all his knowledge, smashed a large hole in the control panel in front of Hograk. Inside, several sparking wires overheated due to a short circuit and ignited mushrooms that had sprouted from nowhere.

The originally clear holographic projection was paralyzed by the orc warlord's claw.

Upon seeing this, the orc tech kid next to Hograk's face immediately fell.

This is the fourth time since it took office. If it weren't for its technical prowess, which allowed it to barely manage to fix things each time, it would have been sent to a breeding farm to feed the Scuttlefish, just like the other tech guys.

No wonder those tech giants like to avoid the boss; anything near it could be damaged.

Complaining is out of the question; the orc tech kid doesn't realize his body is harder than the control panel.

Just as it was picking up its tools to begin repairs, Hograk, whose anger had reached its limit, raised its hand and slapped the seemingly beyond repair control panel again.

"This is completely hopeless," the orc tech kid beside him thought.

It kicked away the ass-like creature that was clinging to its leg out of fear of Hograk, then pointed its thick green finger at the burning control panel and said, "Boss, it seems to be broken."

"Of course I know it's broken, otherwise you blockhead wouldn't be here. Find a way to fix it for me, or you'll end up feeding Skull like those other useless kids."

Hograk extended his power claw and poked the orc tech kid in the chest, his scarlet eyes flashing with a dangerous light.

If it dares to refuse, it will turn into Skull poop in a second to nourish other greens that are not yet fully developed.

"I'll give it a try."

"Fix it as quickly as possible."

Not in a good mood, Hograk snorted coldly, then turned and left to watch the game elsewhere.

For three whole days, the fighting between the greens and the humans never stopped.

After being bombarded by countless shells, the Void Shield outside the Starport finally succumbed to the overload.

The strong smell of ozone signaled that the Imperial army was completely exposed to the Greenskins, leaving them utterly unprepared.

Looking at his underling's masterpiece, Hograk let out an excited battle roar: "Waaagh!!!"

The roar was like flipping a special switch, and instantly all the greens on the battle moon felt an inexhaustible power.

The orcs' already muscular build became even larger and greener, and even the weak little fart spirits felt they had become much smarter.

The warlord inadvertently mobilized the power of the Greenskin psionic area network, making the Greenskins, who were already born for war, even more aggressive.

One by one, the haphazardly assembled lumps of iron were launched onto the surface of the starport using a large slingshot made by the orc tech boy.

These makeshift landing pods are covered only by a layer of soft Sgulger fur, making it virtually impossible to withstand the enormous impact of landing.

But the simple-minded orc boys believed the Great Techies's deception, convinced that this cushion, barely thicker than their own skin, would help them land safely.

And the Orc Boy's "I think" power made the Great Technique Master's nonsense a reality.

With the first group of orc boys landing at the starport, the war entered its second phase.
