Warhammer 40: Saviors Emerging from the Bottom
Chapter 47 is beyond saving.
"Weapons of the Dark Eldar?"
Varo looked at the familiar-looking pistol in Byron's hand and muttered to himself.
The image of his companions being tortured by those hateful aliens involuntarily flashed through his mind, and the usually taciturn pharmacist suddenly erupted.
Two intolerable entities, aliens and heretics, appeared before him at the same time, and he had to eliminate them both.
The pharmacist's anger made Byron's smile grow increasingly maniacal.
"I bought this from a traveling merchant at a high price, and you're the first person to recognize its true identity."
He carefully stroked the poison crystal pistol in his hand, as if it were his lover.
The Poison Crystal Pistol is a cruel weapon from the Dark Eldar. It uses an electromagnetic accelerator to fire solidified crystals containing neurotoxins, rendering enemies unable to fight and thus subjecting them to constant torment.
Just as the two sides were on the verge of a second clash, a series of hurried and chaotic footsteps rapidly approached.
Through Xiao Yi's psychic vision, he saw nearly a hundred corrupted Imperial soldiers.
"You guys don't think I'm completely unprepared, do you?"
The sound of shattering glass came from a corner of the room, followed by an intoxicating fragrance that permeated the room, a scent that even the Astartes power armor could not completely block out.
Just one breath is enough to make you feel extremely tired and want to find a place to lie down and rest.
"We can't delay any longer; we must deal with that traitor as soon as possible!"
Xiao Yi raised his hand and released a bolt of psionic lightning to block Byron's retreat. Then, after a brief charge, he charged straight at his opponent.
The poison crystal fragments that came flying at him were mercilessly crushed by the power sword in his hand.
In order to reduce the effects of airborne toxins on his body, Xiao Yi reduced his breathing frequency.
The blade of the power sword clashed with the exquisitely decorated rapier, producing a crisp sound.
Byron moved like an elegant dancer, constantly shifting his body to dodge Xiao Yi's attacks while searching for openings in his movements and launching counterattacks.
But he wasn't facing just one person.
The narrow space around him restricted Byron's movements. He had just dodged Xiao Yi's sweeping attack when he was hit by a bullet fired by Sain.
Injuries that would slow down a normal person's movements had no effect on Byron. He was like a masochist, the more injuries he had, the more excited he became.
Bang! The wall of the command room was blown open by a rocket, and a group of Imperial soldiers who looked mentally unstable roared as they launched an attack on the enemy in front of them.
Even if their comrades at the forefront were killed on the spot, they had no intention of retreating.
How could mortals possibly be a match for Emperor Angels? Even if they lost their fear of death, they could not bridge the vast gap in strength between them.
In just 30 seconds, hundreds of soldiers were all turned into corpses.
The laughing Byron was making a final struggle, each dodge resulting in a new wound; his body had now reached its limit.
The severed abdominal muscles created an opening in Byron's otherwise flawless evasive maneuver, which Xiao Yi seized upon, severing the arm holding the gun.
"You've already lost your chance."
"Hahaha, you're wrong. You just didn't have the chance. Lady Salona will avenge me. This planet will eventually fall into the hands of the Prince of Pleasure."
Byron laughed and launched his final attack on Xiao Yi. The loss of an arm had affected his overall coordination.
The dance moves that had previously allowed him to barely dodge attacks were now useless. After suffering two more wounds, Byron's head was severed by Xiao Yi's power sword.
The battle wasn't particularly difficult; the only troublesome thing was the drowsy potion.
After slapping his face hard to clear his head, Xiao Yi walked to the chair behind his desk.
After fighting for so long, the guy sitting in the chair remained calm. He looked at the map of the nest on the wall, seemingly thinking about how to allocate his troops next.
With a gentle push of his hand, Lancelot, who was sitting in a swivel chair, appeared in front of the four of them. He did not look very well at the moment.
His pale skin and dark circles under his eyes gave him the appearance of being completely drained, and compared to last time, Xiao Yi could clearly feel that his soul was much weaker.
Xiao Yi waved his hand in front of Lancelot's eyes, and after confirming that the other party did not react, he looked at Karan, who was trying to read Byron's memories.
"My personal advice is not to eat it, otherwise there is a risk of infection. The most terrifying thing about Chaos is not how strong they are, but that they can always appear when people are most vulnerable and lure them into corruption."
Upon hearing this, Kalan slowly closed his open mouth. Having witnessed his blood brother's betrayal firsthand, Kalan had a very direct understanding of the terrifying power of chaos.
"How is he?"
"It looks like he's lost that consciousness and become an idiot, just like the guy whose brain you ate out before."
"Given the current medical conditions, there's no way to save him..."
Xiao Yi was speaking when he suddenly looked at the large hole that had been blasted out by the rocket.
The sentries we had encountered on the road earlier, armed with carbines, stormed in menacingly.
However, when they saw Xiao Yi's familiar face and the Emperor Angel that only appeared in murals, they were all stunned.
"Soldiers, drop your weapons!"
Karan was like a mountain range, making it hard to breathe.
Duty and the Emperor's orders left the soldiers in front of Kalan in a difficult position. Just as they were about to break down, a calm voice came from behind them.
"Lay down your weapons, the Emperor's angels are here to help us."
Everyone's attention was immediately drawn to the sound. Xiao Yi's gaze passed through the crowd and landed on Matthias, whom he hadn't seen in a long time.
Surprisingly, he was followed by Redmond and nine other elite mortals.
The psychological trauma caused by war needs something else to fill the void, and Imperial soldiers often choose faith.
As the only priest in the entire military camp who can recite the Emperor's Word from memory, Matthias is highly respected, and sometimes his words carry more weight than Lancelot's.
After all, one was a ruthless commander who would kill his subordinates without hesitation in order to win, and the other was a kind priest who would help him without hesitation when he was in trouble.
As long as they're not completely out of their minds, the Imperial soldiers know how to make the right choice.
The group looked at each other, and finally chose to lay down their weapons. They made way for Matthias so that he could enter the command room.
