Warhammer 40: Saviors Emerging from the Bottom

After confirming that there were no hidden mutants around, Xiao Yi turned to look at the five-person team.

"Hey, are you guys alright?"

Three laser guns ready to fire at any moment—that was the answer Xiao Yi received. It seemed that the five-person team in front of him did not trust him, their savior.

"I advise you to lay down your weapons, or you will regret it."

Xiao Yi stretched out a finger and poked the mechanical head hanging on his chest. The moment his finger touched the metal, a green arc of electricity entered B-59's "body," waking it from hibernation.

The awakened B-59 took a dozen seconds to load data, and then began to observe its surroundings with its bright mechanical eyes.

"Have you found an exit from the bottom nest?"

"No, could you please translate what these guys are saying?"

Upon hearing this, B-59 looked at the few humans not far away.

It kept scanning its surroundings, finally stopping on the only woman in the group. She didn't look very old, but for some reason, she was wearing shackles.

"Who are you, and why are you in the bottom nest?"

"Every so often, the Hive Defense Force sends a unit of madmen and criminals to Deep Hive to carry out a 'purification ritual.' They frantically slaughter every mutant they can find until they run out of ammunition and ultimately die in battle."

"Because it was almost impossible for those who participated in this mission to return alive, some state priests would volunteer to join as martyrs in order to prove their loyalty to the Emperor."

After briefly recounting the information he knew, B-59 loaded a new voice pack and said in a slightly mocking voice, "Hmph, they don't know that their so-called Lord of Humanity is nothing but a liar full of lies."

"You mean these guys never intended to leave alive?"

Xiao Yi didn't have mind-reading abilities and didn't know what Mattia and his men were thinking, but judging from their retreating stance during the fight with the mutants, they didn't seem like guys who had already accepted their fate of death.

In order to deal with the large number of mutants, they even dug out a batch of powerful self-destructive weapons from the armory, such as super-powerful heat ray guns that could melt themselves and their enemies together.

The suicide squad's initial operation went smoothly. Relying on various weapons of mass destruction and their fearless spirit, they quickly cleared out the mutants who were attacking the gates connecting the lower hive and the base hive.

But this didn't change anything. The mutants in the bottom nest seemed endless, and they kept attacking Matthias's team. In the end, it was an old priest who was trying to prove his last worth in the battle who discovered the key to the problem.

What they were about to face seemed to be the followers of some warp god.

The mutants at the bottom of the nest are using subspace technology beyond human comprehension to continuously create new warriors, and if left unchecked, the entire planet could fall as a result.

To prevent such a tragedy from happening, the remaining warriors decided to change their plans; they would return alive to tell Governor Di Nest everything that had happened.

The evil god's minions seemed to know all this and had been trying to stop Matthias and his companions.

If Xiao Yi hadn't suddenly rushed out at the last moment, the last five survivors of the team might have perished here.
