A good mood fueled Su Yuyang's interest, and he turned around to pick up the camera that had been charging for a while.

The girl's name is Lin Yizhi. She escaped with Song Ruhai and others when the Night Watch camp was attacked by the Ash Earth camp.

Stared at intently by Lin Yizhi, Song Ruhai looked embarrassed and bewildered. He staggered forward two steps, his voice stammering.

"This, this, I, I don't know either... I really don't know why he suddenly disappeared. He was right in front of us, and then he vanished in the next second..."

The words "Ember Camp" struck everyone's hearts like a boulder.

The anger on everyone's faces vanished instantly, replaced by deep fear. The roar of the RPG explosion still echoed in their ears; they knew all too well the brutality of the Ash Earth camp.

Lin Yizhi gritted her teeth, finally suppressing her anger. She glared at the spot where Su Yuyang had disappeared, muttered "liar" under her breath, and then turned to follow the others.

Before long, more than a dozen ragged figures, like startled birds, hurriedly ran away into the distance and quickly disappeared into the depths of the gray-yellow smog.

Meanwhile, deep in the gray-yellow haze to the east, the group from the Ash Earth Camp were slumped down on a pile of rubble in a sorry state.

They were all panting heavily, their clothes soaked with sweat and dust, their faces filled with exhaustion and fear, and many of them had cuts from the rubble, oozing dark red blood.

The leader was a middle-aged man with a scar on his face, a hideous scar extending from his brow bone to his nose. He glanced at his disheveled subordinates with a sinister look.

"Go to hell!" The scarred middle-aged man was furious and kicked a blond-haired youth next to him hard in the back.

"You idiot! How could I have such a stupid subordinate as you!"

Scarface's voice was hoarse and violent as he kicked again, "Who told you to fire the RPG? How many times have I told you to capture those night watchmen and enslave them, to squeeze every last drop of value out of them! And what did you do? One RPG almost wiped us out!"

The blond-haired man was kicked and rolled around repeatedly, blood spilling from the corner of his mouth, but he dared not resist in the slightest. He could only curl up on the ground, trembling and covering his head.

"Are you deaf to my words, or do you just want to be in charge?"

Scarface was still not satisfied. He took a step forward and kicked the blond-haired man again, more than thirty times, until he caught his breath. Then he sat down on the ground cursing.

"You've really ruined my life!"

Scarface exhaled a thick smoke ring, his eyes filled with heartache. "An RPG, that's incredibly valuable! I saved up supplies for half a month to exchange for it, and you, you idiot, just wasted it!"

At the Ash Earth camp, Scarface was ruthless; offending him was more dangerous than offending the captain.

Yellow Hair slumped to the ground, looking at Scarface's sinister eyes and then at his silent companions, and instantly understood what was going on.

Scarface is trying to make him a scapegoat.

Yellow Hair trembled all over, then knelt down with a thud, pleading, "Brother Shi, please forgive me! I know I was wrong, I'll never do it again!"

Immediately following was the scarred man's furious voice, "Fine, you dare threaten me! You really want to die? If you want to die, that's easy, I'll grant your wish."

Huang Mao realized he had misspoke and hurriedly corrected himself, saying, "It was my fault for being tactless. Please forgive me this time, Brother Shi."

As he spoke, he kept slapping his mouth, the sound unusually crisp in the gray-yellow smog, which quickly attracted many mutated zombies.
