In America, my cousin, Supergirl Kara...

Chapter 41: The Abnormal Hobbies of Noble Women

Kara stood up, helped Li Xiao up, and gave him a thumbs up: "Karl, you successfully saved the lives of everyone in the car. That's amazing! You're a true superhero."

Well, it's not that exaggerated.

Li Xiao brushed the dust off his clothes, scratched his head, and felt a little embarrassed. So this was what it felt like to be a hero, except for the stench emanating from the shrew. Everything else was fine.

Li Xiao reached into his pocket and pulled out a palm-sized piece of black fabric—the Kryptonian material provided by the system.

It felt incredibly smooth, with a rubbery texture. He tried pulling on it; the fabric was very flexible and began to stretch.

Li Xiao put in even more effort, and the material in his hand kept getting bigger and bigger. When it reached the size of a washbasin, he could no longer pull it. As soon as he let go, it instantly returned to its original shape.

It's just too small. Let alone making clothes, even altering a glove would be a challenge. Li Xiao helplessly prepared to take it back.

"Wait, isn't this something from Earth? Did it come from Krypton?"

"Yes, I found it in the spaceship. I don't know how to use it yet, and it's too small to make clothes. Cousin, do you think we can make good use of it?"

Li Xiao shrugged. He was getting better and better at lying. Kara treated him like a Kryptonian, so it was fine for her to see this.

"This fabric is fantastic, better than what I'm wearing. Give me your clothes when we get home. I sewed it on the chest area to protect you. Don't underestimate it; it's hard for most weapons to damage."

Kara rubbed it a few times and then handed it to Li Xiao.

"Okay," he readily agreed. This thing should be able to withstand the piercing of a sharp blade, providing an extra layer of protection when fighting in underground boxing matches.

As for guns and cannons, he felt it was unlikely; even if he could withstand them, his internal organs would probably be shattered.

"There's one more thing," Kara crouched down, scooped up some soil with both hands, and threw it into the pit. "This area needs to be leveled and filled in, otherwise other trains won't be able to pass safely."

Feeling like a child playing in the sand, Li Xiao helplessly squatted down and helped.

When the two returned, the lights in the house were off, and Corinna must have been asleep.

As Li Xiao watched Kara walk back to her bedroom and prepared to lie down to sleep, the door to the second-floor room opened, and Corinna tiptoed down the stairs.

She was wearing Kara's pajamas, which had a black Bichon Frise print on them. I don't know how she found them, but since the two of them were about the same height, they fit her surprisingly well.

However, her clothes were open, pulled down from her chest to her navel, and two mounds of tender white flesh bounced up and down as she went downstairs.

"Why aren't you asleep yet?"

Li Xiao moved the sofa aside and put on his clothes.

"You and your cousin went out to save the world, Superman?"

Corinna sat with her legs together next to Li Xiao, her golden fox eyes carrying a hint of mischief.

"Saving the world? That's an exaggeration." Li Xiao quietly moved aside a little, not forgetting to remind him, "Besides, there are no Supermen in this world."

"You've said that twice already. What's wrong with your cousin? Did she go out to some cosplay party in the middle of the night? She claims to be a Kryptonian, I don't think you don't know what that means, do you?"

Corinna crossed her arms and spoke with a hint of amusement in her voice.

"Well, how should I put it? My cousin is just an ordinary person who wants to be a superhero. Don't let her fiery temper fool you, she genuinely does good deeds. Just the other day, she took me to save a kid at a gas station."

"I see, that's really cool." Corinna nodded, preparing to take out a cigarette and light one.

Li Xiao reached out and put his hand behind his cigarette, shaking his head: "You should smoke less in the future; it's not good for your health."

Corinna frowned briefly before relaxing, and looked at Li Xiao for a few seconds: "Are you worried about me?"

"Yes, out of concern as a friend," Li Xiao nodded, releasing his hand, "I'm afraid you'll die young."

"Damn it, if you can't talk, shut up!" Corinna rolled her eyes and tucked the cigarette behind her ear.

"By the way, are you really going to give me that silver mine?"

"If you feel bad, you can share some with me; I'm actually quite poor."

"Hmph, don't count on it, kid. This is mine, and there's no reason to give away what's in my hands!"

Corinna sneered, but her hand slipped inside Li Xiao's clothes like a catfish. "How about it? Having a sleepless night, want to do something fun? I remember your cousin has some red wine in her fridge, how about we have some to liven things up?"

"No, I need to sleep. Besides, do you often ask other men out?"

After all, the concept of freedom and American identity is all too commonplace.

"How could that be? Those guys who reek of urine? Please, I don't sleep with wild animals!" Corinna protested, sounding wronged and indignant. "I've forgotten everything I said at the manor that day! Indulging in lust will only ruin you. Lisa and I are both virtuous and respectable girls!"

Li Xiao clicked his tongue in amazement; it was truly commendable that he was able to resist the overwhelming tide of materialism.

"But I can't guarantee the same for others." Corinna stood on tiptoe in her slippers, her crimson nail polish shimmering like red pearls. "The ways of high society are perverse. Some families like to find young men and have them get sterilized, so that mothers and daughters can share them without worrying about pregnancy."

"Huh?" Li Xiao's eyes widened. "Sharing a mother and daughter? Treating people like toys?"

"You little brat, you know quite a lot," Corinna scoffed and shook her head. "Toys are at least greased, but living people are given heavy doses of drugs, they get hard instantly!"

Li Xiao shuddered and couldn't help but silently mourn for those who were serving the mother and daughter.

"You'd better be very careful not to get caught," Corinna said in a very serious tone. "They ruin people, then select the best-looking, long, and thick ones, cut them off, and then use some unknown religious secret recipe to collect them."

Li Xiao felt his worldview had been completely refreshed. This really turned into a "fairy wand"! Americans really know how to play. He couldn't come up with such a ruthless trick even if he racked his brains.

"By the way, what about the men in high society?"

"Underage girls, those missing limbs, and of course young men are all within their hunting range," Corinna listed them off as if they were old friends, then looked at Li Xiao with ill intent again.

Li Xiao felt a bit overwhelmed, well, there was also a gay guy.

"It's getting late, goodnight, I should get some rest." Li Xiao stopped the conversation in time, otherwise they would have to stay up all night.

"Hmph, boring man," Corinna snorted and got up to go upstairs.

Li Xiao immediately lay down, covered himself with the blanket, and quickly fell asleep.

That morning, while Li Xiao was still half asleep, a warm, rounded shape pressed unceremoniously against his chest. When he opened his eyes, Kara, wearing only her underwear and still sleepy-eyed, was sitting on him.

Feeling something unusual beneath her, she glanced down, then leaped up like a rocket, throwing a pillow at him.

"Fuck! You have a bed but you're lying on the sofa, are you just bored out of your mind?"

Li Xiao caught it casually, then sprang up from the sofa: "Corinna will rest for the night; my bed is for her."

"You two didn't accidentally cross the line?" Kara glanced at them, then looked away. "Probably not."
