Chapter 84 The Sacred Forging Furnace, Sleeping Eternally in the River

The moment the other person finished speaking, Ron saw a vortex-shaped spatial rift suddenly appear in the void in front of him.

Feel the terrifying aura emanating from it.

Ron subtly pushed his feet back, his magic surging within him, his muscles tense, ready to run away at the slightest sign of trouble.

His behavior cannot be considered judging others by one's own petty standards; it's simply a matter of habit.

A whirlpool-like vortex slowly rotated in his eyes, and all around was silent, as if the world itself had stopped moving at that moment.

Two beams of light, one red and one black, shot out from there and quickly flew towards Ron. Upon seeing this, his expression changed drastically. He thought of the black light that had appeared on Ryan before, and then looked at the two somewhat similar beams of light flying towards him.

The two were immediately linked together.

A sense of urgency surged within me, and the prepared magic was unleashed in an instant.

A series of dazzling red fire feathers appeared around Ron's body, moving in the opposite direction to the two red and black lights. In the blink of an eye, the two collided.

Taking advantage of this brief opening, he retreated backward, tapping his feet on the ground several times, and immediately retreated a distance of about ten meters.

Only then did he have the mind to look again at the place where his attack and the two beams of light from the other side intersected.

However, what he saw immediately caused his pupils to contract. The two beams of light that had been shooting towards him were now quietly suspended in mid-air, their auras restrained and their divine light gone.

"What are you doing?"

The goddess's indifferent voice came through, her tone carrying a hint of something inexplicable.

Ron knew he had overreacted this time, so he quickly bowed to the void in front of him and said, "Goddess, I'm sorry, I haven't recovered from what just happened and I was a little nervous."

"Are you doubting me?"

"no."

Hearing the faint hint of anger in the other person's words, Ron hurriedly denied it: "Just kidding, if she holds a grudge, I'm afraid I'll be played like a fool by this woman."

He was eager to go back and settle accounts with those who had schemed against him, and had no interest in playing games with this lady.

The atmosphere in the room fell silent. The goddess in the void did not speak, but Ron could sense that she was observing him from somewhere.

My whole body tensed up again, not because I was on guard before, but because I was nervous now.

He had no idea what the other person was thinking.

Ryan, who had been watching this scene intently, suddenly changed his expression, his mind racing: "Isn't Mr. Ron a messenger of the goddess?"

"Why did he refuse the goddess's blessing? Who is he anyway? Doesn't he have faith in the goddess? Then why did the goddess ask me to follow him and instruct me to give him... at crucial moments?"

Countless questions flashed through the young man's mind, but unfortunately, they were destined to remain unanswered.

Ron felt as if time had frozen at that moment.

Even though not much time had passed, he felt as if each day was an eternity: why had he dodged in the first place?

He couldn't help but ask himself this question.

Even though I've already reached an agreement with the other party, why do I doubt their intentions when they want to help me?

Ron gradually came to an answer in his heart, but he couldn't say it yet, at least not now.

"Alright, I've left the things here for you. Since you doubt me, go get them yourself."

"I still have a show to watch, so I don't need you two fooling around here."

"I hope that next time we meet, you won't be so wary of me. See you later."

Just as Ron's bad thoughts were growing stronger, the gentle female voice from the void rang out again in the arena. The indifference and slight anger in her tone had disappeared, and she had returned to her previous state.

Upon hearing these words, the two people standing in the room simultaneously breathed a sigh of relief.

My body, which had been tense all along, now felt like I had just finished a marathon, having lost all my strength and becoming somewhat sore and weak.

"Thank you, Goddess."

Ron bowed again to the void before him and said solemnly, "Even if I have many thoughts in my mind, since the two sides haven't reached the point of breaking off relations yet, I will not forget the respect that a strong person should have."

He remained bent over for several minutes until he was sure the woman had really left, then he straightened up again.

"Mr. Ron, why did you do that just now?"

Just as he was squinting and looking around, Ryan's question came through.

His tone betrayed barely concealed anger and a hint of fear.

Looking at the tamed youth before him, Ron's eyes flickered, and a barely perceptible smile appeared on his lips. He replied, "Mr. Ryan, may I ask why I should tell you?"

The firelight on the distant horizon was still so dazzling that even standing here, the dark red flames could still illuminate one's face.

It reflected the bewildered expression on the young man's face.

Ron stood there with an indifferent smile on his face, quietly watching the other person.

"But......"

The words he was about to say in his argument got stuck in his throat, and he couldn't utter a single word no matter what. Suddenly, Ryan realized that the boy's words seemed to make sense: Yes, why did he tell him that?

I was merely sent by the goddess to assist the other party. This guy dared to offend even the goddess, so why should he bother with me?

Seeing the young man fall silent, Ron smiled and ignored him.

Turning to look at the two motionless beams of light suspended in mid-air, the panel information immediately appeared in his eyes:
