Chapter 109 Visia's Adventure
Having made up her mind, Visia immediately got out of bed, dressed, carefully groomed herself, and went out.
With her current strength at Sequence 8, it would be very easy for her to sneak out of the Earl's mansion without anyone noticing.
As soon as I arrived at the gate, I saw my mother standing there anxiously waiting.
Visia knew that her mother's calm demeanor and composed tone were just for show; in reality, she was also very anxious.
After all, as a woman, it's especially difficult when her husband isn't home.
Monica, the bodyguard beside him, was also sent out, leaving behind only his teenage daughter who was "powerless." No matter how strong he appeared, he was always worried.
"Mom, don't worry, I'll find Dad and Mr. Ron..."
Visia gazed at her mother, thinking to herself, and then vanished in a flash, heading towards the Glasto Palace.
The places she visited and the scenes she witnessed along the way only amplified her worries and anxieties.
The usually bustling streets were now completely deserted.
The hawking sounds from those shops have now disappeared, leaving only the tightly closed doors and windows, and the faint noises coming from inside the houses, which seem to prove that nothing too big happened last night.
Even so, Visia was still worried.
Their steps grew increasingly hurried.
Just as she entered the inner city of the royal capital, the scene before her eyes caused the girl's pupils to dilate suddenly in disbelief.
The once majestic and solemn royal city was now nothing but ruins in her eyes. The magnificent palace walls and the guards and soldiers who used to roam there had all vanished.
All that remained were charred, blackened wood, collapsed houses, ruins, and billowing smoke.
The girl stared blankly at all of this, momentarily unable to process what was happening.
She even wondered to herself if she had gone to the wrong place.
After all, this was so different from the royal palace she had seen before. It was like going from a bustling rich area to a slum, or even worse.
Just then, a somewhat surprised voice rang in her ears:
"Visia, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at home with your mother?"
Hearing the familiar voice, the girl immediately looked in the direction it came from, only to see Earl Hobert following behind a group of people, staring at her with a look of surprise and disbelief.
"dad?"
"Mr. Hobart, is this your daughter, Miss Visia? She really is exactly as the rumors say."
Just as Count Hobert was about to step forward to take a closer look at his daughter, he was suddenly stopped by a young man beside him. The man looked at Visia and exclaimed in admiration.
"You flatter me, Your Highness. I just didn't expect my daughter to run away alone, especially at such a dangerous time. Please allow me to talk to her alone for a while before having the guards take her back. After all, the city is not stable right now, and if something happens, her mother will be very sad."
"Yes, you're very thoughtful. Go on."
Earl Hobert bowed to the young man in front of him, then strode over to his daughter, took her hand, and led her to a corner.
Monica, who had been sent out last night to find the Earl, followed behind the two without expression.
The veins on his hands bulged, and he warily observed the people around him.
"Vicia, what are you doing here? Didn't your mother stop you? Never mind, let's not talk about that. The situation in the capital is a bit complicated right now, there are a lot of bad people outside. I'll have Monica take you back."
"Dad, what happened?"
"Don't ask anymore. I only have a vague understanding of the situation, but it's very dangerous. You go back with Monica first. Remember to lock all the doors and windows when you get there, and tell your mother not to wait for me outside. I'll come back to meet up with you as soon as I've finished dealing with things here."
"But……"
"Okay, listen to me. Dad is very busy right now and really doesn't have time to spend with you. I'm sorry, it seems our previous agreement will have to be void again."
"It's okay, I understand."
"Hehe, my Visia is the most understanding."
The two walked around the corner, and Count Hopter waved to Monica behind him. When she came to him, he spoke:
"Ms. Monica, could you please take Visia back? It's too chaotic outside right now, and I'm really worried about her wandering off again."
"Count, what about you over here...?"
Monica was interrupted by Earl Hopet before she could finish speaking:
"Don't worry about me. His Majesty's guards can protect all of us. The main concern is my family. I'm really worried about my wife and daughter. I can only handle things here with peace of mind when you're with them."
"Yes, I understand, Count."
Monica nodded to Earl Hobert, then looked at Visia, who had been hiding behind him in silence with her head down:
"Miss Vicia, let's go back first."
"..."
The girl didn't speak, but glanced at her father worriedly. Knowing that she couldn't be willful at a time like this, she nodded and followed Monica out of the inner city of the capital.
"Mr. Hobart, is everything settled?"
"Yes, Your Highness."
"Okay, that's good. Come with me quickly, Father needs your help right now."
As Earl Hobert watched the eldest prince, who had regained his usual decisive manner, walking ahead of him, he couldn't help but recall the prince's terrified expression from the previous night.
Unable to contain his curiosity, he asked:
"Your Highness, what exactly happened last night? Why is the palace in this state? And what were those commotions last night? If it were a battle between superhumans, it shouldn't have caused such a commotion, right?"
Upon hearing his words, His Majesty the Crown Prince paused slightly in his steps.
She turned to look at him, her expression grave, and remained silent, seemingly considering whether or not to tell him.
Finally, the other person exhaled a deep breath and made up their mind:
"Mr. Hobart, actually I didn't want to tell you, but last night my father forbade us from talking about this."
"However, since you are the kind of person Father needs, it is indeed appropriate to explain things to you clearly at this time to facilitate the resolution of certain issues later. So I will be frank with you."
"Actually, a battle of gods took place last night..."
The eldest prince whispered in his ear the whole story of what happened last night.
After hearing this, Earl Hobert was visibly shaken, looking at him with disbelief as if trying to confirm the truth of the matter.
The other party understood what he meant and nodded seriously, indicating that everything he had just said was true.
"Really..."
