Chapter 11: A Slave with a Strong Personality

"Sell you?"

Luo An was left speechless, both amused and exasperated by Celia's words.

Her hands were trembling as she held them.

Are you that worried about this?

Luo An raised his hand and gently flicked her forehead.

"If I wanted to sell you, why would I spend so much money buying you antidote stones? Do you have too much money to burn?"

Celia covered her forehead, her eyes still red, but she realized what had happened.

It seems so.

If the master wanted to sell her, he wouldn't need to sell the magic stone or buy her delicious candy rabbits.

"Why is the master keeping looking over there?"

Celia asked in a low voice, her tone carrying a hint of grievance from being flicked on the forehead.

"The farm is short-handed and needs slaves to help."

Luo An gave a casual reply.

"Master, I'm very diligent and can do a lot of work."

Celia volunteered.

Seeing her eager expression, Luo An asked with concern, "Won't it kill you to be in charge of such a large farm all by yourself?"

"Do you really think you have inexhaustible strength?"

Celia recalled the size of the farm and realized that she couldn't manage it all by herself.

"Then, Master, would you like to go and take a look?"

Although she wasn't too keen on going in, she would still accompany her master if he wanted to go.

It's okay as long as you don't sell her.

Celia thought that if a slave were bought by his master, it would be an incredible stroke of luck for that slave.

"Let's go take a look first. I don't have much money on hand. If I don't have enough, I won't buy it for now."

"However, I won't leave you to do all the work alone; I'll help you manage the farm."

Roan took Celia's hand and walked into the slave market.

The streets were bustling with people, and slaves were displayed like merchandise.

Some stood with their heads down, staring blankly; others tried desperately to show themselves off and appear more valuable.

Luo An's purpose in coming here was not to buy anything, but simply to inquire about prices.

He randomly picked a shop and asked.

Seeing that Luo An was dressed plainly and his attitude was somewhat perfunctory, the stall owner pointed to the slaves in front of him.

"An ordinary slave costs only 1 gold coin."

"A strong laborer, 3 gold coins."

"Good-looking slaves are priced at 2-5 gold coins."

Having figured things out, Luo An didn't linger and asked at several stalls, finding that the prices were all roughly the same.

He even specifically sought out several stalls selling slaves of other races.

Although those people didn't think Luo An was a rich man, they had nothing better to do, so they casually introduced him to him.

Upon hearing this, Luo An was deeply shocked.

The cheapest dwarf slaves start at 50 gold coins.

The price of orcs varies depending on the type, and female orcs are generally more expensive.

The succubus is also very expensive, costing over a hundred gold coins.

As for the elves...

When Luo An asked the question, the stall owner in front of him laughed.

"Young man, the minimum price for an elf is 200 gold coins, and that depends on factors like magic power and appearance. If it's an exceptional elf, people will be fighting over it for 500 gold coins or more."

Upon hearing this, Luo An smiled ingratiatingly and left the stall.

With his meager assets, he couldn't even afford the cheapest alien slaves.

He couldn't help but glance at Celia.

This could easily sell for over 500 gold coins, right?

"Owner?"

Celia felt uneasy when she was looked at by that gaze.

She was a little worried that the owner might waver after hearing the price.

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of you."

Luo An offered words of comfort, which put her mind at ease.

He continued walking through the market, his gaze sweeping over the slaves on display.

Many female slaves immediately put on ingratiating smiles when they saw him approaching, displaying their ample bosoms and pleading in their eyes.

Luo An looked away.

These female slaves had thin arms and legs and were somewhat attractive, but they were not suitable for heavy work, so there was no point in buying them back to the farm.

He sympathizes, but there's nothing he can do right now.

Celia, standing to the side, had her hat pulled low, but through the gaps, her eyes still couldn't help but wander around.

She hadn't walked far when her body suddenly froze.

In a luxurious shop, an elven girl was chained and knelt on the cold ground, her knees rubbed raw and bleeding.

She was only wearing a tattered dress, exposing large areas of skin, including whip marks on her arms and back.

Her pink hair was loose, covering half of her pretty face, but Celia still recognized her.

Linor.

On that night of rebellion, a companion who ran away with her.

Although we've only known each other for less than half a day, we can't really be considered familiar with each other.

But when they separated and fled, they both hoped that the other could escape as well.

Celia became her master's slave.

But Linor... was still caught.

Linor, who was inside the shop, seemed to notice the gazes outside and stared blankly out of the shop.

His previously empty and numb blue pupils widened suddenly when he saw the figure outside.

There was something strangely familiar about those eyes.

Celia?

Is it her?

Just then, a young man dressed in luxurious clothes walked up to her.

He stared at Linor kneeling on the ground, reached out, pinched her chin, shook it from side to side to examine it, and forced her to raise her head.

Linor revealed a set of silver teeth and bit his hand directly.

Snapped!

The man was in so much pain that he slapped Linor across the face.

"Young Master!"

Several burly henchmen behind him immediately pinned Linor to the ground.

The man glanced at the bite marks on his hand, then at the struggling elf on the ground, and smiled.

"Could it be that I've encountered such a unique slave?"

He looked at the shop owner. "How much?"

"You have excellent taste! This is an elf we just brought back not long ago; she's young, beautiful, and possesses considerable magic."

The shop owner rubbed his hands together. "They're still a bit unruly and need to be trained."

"If we buy it and train it ourselves, this elf should have a unique charm."

"Only 500 gold coins."

Without hesitation, the young man glanced at his attendant behind him and placed a cloth bag full of gold coins on the counter.

He looked at the mark on Linor's back, pricked his finger, and was about to inject a stream of blood.

Linor looked terrified and struggled desperately, but she was pinned down by several burly men and couldn't move at all.

She watched helplessly as blood dripped onto the mark.

The mark glowed, and Linor let out a painful groan, collapsing to the ground in agony.

"From now on, I will be your master."

The man looked at Linor with undisguised desire.

Linor didn't say anything, but just glared at him fiercely.

Having a personality is a good thing.

"I like slaves like you."

The man grabbed her hair with one hand, showing no mercy whatsoever, and dragged her out of the shop.

Her legs left two marks on the ground, and as she passed Celia, Linor turned her head with difficulty.

Their eyes met again.

Linor saw tears glistening in the man's eyes.

At this moment, she was almost certain that this person was Celia.

Who is standing next to Celia?

Is he her master?

Celia stayed with him, and there seemed to be no fear of a slave towards his master.

Linor was filled with questions and forgot the pain from being dragged around.

She was dragged further and further away by the man, but her gaze never left Celia, until she was completely obscured by a figure and could no longer be seen.

Linor can be sure of one thing.

Celia seems to be in a much better situation than her.
