Dark Eldar
60 Mysterious Mission
Loki originally wanted to bite the bullet and ask Uncle Demar again about "Kevin Garney".
Unexpectedly, Loki encounters a visit from Ludar, the leader of the rebels. Inside the house, the "greed" (for equipment) emanating from everyone, and the strange "disappearance" of Dark, all instill fear in Loki.
Only Loki knows the true power of the artifact "Mjolnir, the Creator's Hammer." What exactly can it forge? What can it synthesize? After countless experiments, extractions, forgings, and battles, his familiarity with it has already reached 30%—after all, it's an "artifact"! The remaining 70% proficiency is difficult to improve. Perhaps the Creator himself could reach 200%+!
Loki returned to Fort Fratral in Yundar. His dwarven guard brothers greeted him indifferently, "You're allowed to pass without incident." Loki noticed nothing "abnormal." (If the dwarven guards leveled up again, that would be abnormal [too rapid experience gain]).
In front of the inn, Loki checked his backpack.
"Oh no, not a single cloud coin left. There should be some left, right? Maybe he was in a hurry to retrieve something and lost it." Loki didn't have any currency; checking into hotels on credit wasn't his style. Inside his backpack, besides a crystal bottle and a few pieces of dry bread, were mostly various stones... (Blue Rare)
"These past few days, I've been bogged down in trivial matters, and everything feels so chaotic." Loki saw that it was getting dark, so he found a relatively clean stone step of a shed and lay down.
"The fortress is safer than the outside, so why don't the aliens come in? Isn't this rudimentary 'protective net' just their food?" Loki's thoughts were in turmoil, and he tossed and turned, unable to sleep.
Finally, after struggling, confused, and conflicted, Loki fell asleep. He prepared to begin his "wandering." He'd also clear out a few previously accepted "quests." (Elder and High Mage quests are generally irreversible and mostly triggered quests; purple.)
Loki's soul travels at a speed many times faster than Dark's!
In the "Otherworld" hall, the elders were anxiously discussing countermeasures.
"How about we forgo any high-level mages this year?" Elder Sun Yun suggested. He didn't want Edward to lose his life over this. (Note: The high-level mage exam must be "completely fair." No elders are allowed inside. Only the candidates themselves can "assess the situation.")
"Let's wait a little longer. I just checked, and the crack in the mirror image is still within the range of the magic array officer, Denard's, capabilities," Elder Schopenhauer said.
Loki overheard this conversation.
"Is that Loki? What brings you here!" Elder Sun Yun had sensed him long ago.
"Master, I've arrived." Loki (Phantom) knelt on one knee and greeted Elder Sun Yun and the other elders.
Elder Wolfd, fearing Loki might overhear him speaking ill of him a few days prior, hid behind the crowd, avoiding any confrontation.
"Elders, is Edward III going to release Cyclops?" Loki shouted.
"Oh, that one! He must have fallen for the Cyclops's 'trick.' We've already warned him that he absolutely must not release the ancient demon!" Elder Schopenhauer said with particular seriousness.
"But do you know what? 'Kevin Garnier' is very close to us!" Loki decided to stop hiding it. He would let everyone know the truth! This was also part of his "mysterious mission"! (Help investigate the lost world "Kevin Garnier" in another world, purple; reward: 'Confidential')
"What! No! That's impossible! Kevin Garnier is a Dark City-State?" The Fire Messenger was the first to speak! The pale blue flames around him pulsed abnormally! It looked like he was about to burst into flames. The opening of the "rift" had made him "irritable" in recent days! (Occupation: Prophet)
"Kevin Garnier? The Fire Messenger... that can't be the Dark Legion's territory. Could it be another part of your 'prophecy'? Let me check the 'Book' first." Even the exceptionally wise Schopenhauer wasn't entirely sure. (The Book, a private, valuable item; non-tradeable)
"Oh, no wonder that sounded so familiar! It's the ancient capital of the 'Moro'! Loki!! You mean...? How could the 'Ancient Moro' possibly be related to us?" Elder Schopenhauer asked in bewilderment.
"It's true." Loki nodded firmly. The elders understood what the High Mage Loki meant and no longer questioned him.
"Could it be? Could it be? The order has truly changed...?" Elder Sun Yun's face showed a solemn expression, a stark contrast to his usual composed and self-possessed demeanor.
