Dark Eldar

59. Deep within the crack

"Why are you so late? How long have we been waiting for you? I never thought we'd team up!" Wolverine, John, glanced at Benjamin and asked. His "wolf fangs" were particularly conspicuous. (The mirror world cannot perceive the existence of "time")

"About a week and a half," Benjamin replied.

"Let's go! I heard from the Fire Elementalist that if the rift remains open for too long, we'll be imprisoned forever if we don't get out soon," said Frost George (nickname: "Iron Man"). He was quite close to the Fire Elemental Elder and Iron Man had always wanted to pursue a path of "dual cultivation of ice and fire."

"Where are we going?" Benjamin was unfamiliar with the rules since it was his first time there.

"Why ask so many questions? Just follow me!" (Captain) Priestess Nami led the way.

"I went down just now, but unfortunately my damage was too low. It was a draw. Our enemy is the legendary skeleton soldier." Nami looks like she's only in her teens, but she's actually failed to advance four or five times already.

"Skeleton soldiers?" Benjamin jumped in fright!

"No way? That's not something from hell?" said the mid-level priest, Stell.

"That's not a thing, okay?" Nami explained.

"They are creatures of Hell themselves. Since our ancestors conquered the multiple worlds, Hell has disappeared. Our ancestors' lifespans have greatly increased, and they no longer need to go to 'that world' after death..." With that, Nami increased her flying speed! She said no more, considering that the "magic circle" had been activated for too long, she felt she couldn't delay any longer!

Benjamin followed at the very back of the group. This pace wasn't considered fast for him.

Benjamin was the youngest in the team. Nami originally planned to wait until Edward finished his exams before bringing him over to help. (Note: Priests do not count towards the High Mage quota. Other professions follow the same principle. However, the Mirror World is "extremely dangerous," and the elders don't want their disciples to fight to the death. Doing so would drastically reduce the number of heroes in the "other world"!)

Privately, Pastor Nami has a fairly good relationship with Edward and Benjamin. They've indirectly cooperated in several major battles in the past (though not in the same team).

Just now, after Edward III came in again, nobody knew where he went. Maybe he ran into trouble? Just then, Benjamin came in! He filled in for him.

"Benjamin, can you keep up? I have plenty of mana potions in my bag if you're running low!" Nami called out loudly from ahead. Her "concern" was mostly out of politeness... Benjamin would need to deal a lot of "arcane damage" later!

Pastor Nami analyzed, "Relying on Iron Man George is unlikely. His frost magic is far inferior to his senior brothers'. It's a pity that Pol and Miki both perished in the examination hall, becoming 'slaves' here..." (Back then, after Pol died, in his final moments of lucidity, he bestowed his "Iron Man" title upon his junior brother George.)

Intermediate Priest Nami's "Resurrection" spell isn't working well; she can barely resurrect one life form at a time, and her mana is always running low! Her mana regeneration is incredibly slow! (In the Mirror World, resurrection doesn't require the "Order's" permission.)

After that crushing defeat, Nami cried for a long time. Now, revisiting the place, she feels less heartbroken. All she wants is to advance!

Perhaps her "heartless" nature is the main reason Nami can never become a high priest.

The place Nami searched for was the deepest part of the rift!

"Boom!" "Boom!" Around the five people, rubble mixed with scorching hot magma crashed into the ground, raising clouds of dust!

"This is it!" Nami exclaimed excitedly, finally gathering her team and preparing for battle!

"Let's go back. There's only one spot, and it's definitely going to Edward III. This isn't a place for us," the experienced Wolverine, John, advised. In terms of seniority, he and Nami were about the same. It's just that his physical abilities level up more slowly; this was Wolverine's third time entering the magic circle.

To be honest, even Wolverine John wasn't impressed with Nami's skills. He knew that if it weren't for her mentor, High Priestess Catherine, Nami would probably have been demoted to a Junior Priest long ago.

Benjamin looked around curiously, feeling an overwhelming sense of reality! It was as if he had truly arrived in "hell"...

From within the mist, a! No! A two-headed hellhound suddenly launched an attack!!

"Arokagoben NAka!" (transliteration)

Benjamin calmly took out the "Elven Staff" (purple level 5) and released "Arcane Missiles"!

The "Mirror Hellhound" was indeed easily defeated, dropping several "Magma Stone Fragments" (blue).

Priest Stel hurriedly stepped forward to pick it up; the magma stone was useful to his alchemy.
