After Elaine and Loki finished breakfast, they discussed taking on all the town's quests at once, including those in red and yellow font.

Typically, tasks in green text are those that meet their level and are displayed as "Available to claim".

As for the other high-level quests in different colored fonts? Loki plans to try and persuade the NPCs to assign them to the two of them by flattering them. The ordinary NPCs on guard duty don't want to take responsibility, probably fearing the impact on their "wages" (the NPC wage system in Classic WoW is currently unknown), but the NPCs also don't want to offend the future "gods" of Classic WoW. Previously, in other maps of the multiverse, there have been fierce battles between heroes and NPCs! (Aggro's hatred level instantly skyrockets!)

The NPCs understood perfectly: "While their current level and abilities are indeed far superior to those of the novice heroes, these elites from multiple worlds will inevitably crush these NPCs—who merely live off odd jobs, repetitive labor, and monthly wages—in terms of future achievements, speed of progress, and combat power..."

However, that's just how things are in this world. While the NPCs are generally quite experienced and understand the importance of risk avoidance, they simply refuse to make a "first-time purchase" (including a CD key) to fulfill their "heroic dreams." Any online ID, starting from VIP1, must purchase game time cards, monthly cards, quarterly cards, etc. Even if you don't log in frequently, the monthly card fee still needs to be calculated. Whether it's the alternate world or the classic server, the hero charging model is the same.

"Brother Loki, I've already shared it. There was a small elite BOSS quest at the village entrance, which I've already accepted. We only need 3 more quests before we can leave the city." "Hello! Traveler, the mayor is waiting for you~" The NPC greeting you at the entrance is a human girl in business attire (fashionable, pay-to-play). She looks much older than Loki, so she's probably the mayor's secretary? Or perhaps some other profession? She could even be a hero; Loki isn't sure, because anyone working in the city hall, even the lowest position, could potentially be connected to "order"...

Loki nodded and smiled slightly, then walked through the main hall and went straight up the ancient wooden staircases on either side.

"Creak~ Creak~" (Sound of footsteps on the wooden stairs)

There were heavily armed soldiers guarding the town hall entrance (level: skull), but they weren't involved in questioning visitors. Given the current level of the heroes in the starting village, they probably pose no threat to the town.

The mayor's secretary, who was greeting guests at the door, even waved to Loki discreetly. On the surface, she was a fair-skinned, beautiful, and intelligent young lady. Loki dared not guess her true identity, as he was not at a level where he could distinguish a level 35 lady.

Regin City (131, 221), judging from its coordinates, is an ancient town with a long history. The mayor of Regin City is named "John 1573" (Level 99; Paladin).

Loki saw two level 37 or so new human warriors queuing up to receive quests, so he politely waited instead of rushing in. Loki didn't eavesdrop at the entrance because he'd seen this kind of scene many times before, and it no longer held much mystery for him, even though this was the brand new "Classic" server.

About five minutes later, it was Loki's turn to enter the office for a talk. Because heroes came and went to receive missions, the door to the mayor's office in Regin City was never closed; it remained open. This demonstrated that the mayor of Regin City was a responsible hero. ("Mayor" is a common term; the official title for the head of a mid-level town should be "City Lord.")

Loki saw the mayor, a burly, handsome young man with a brown mustache, wearing a grey "diplomatic suit" (purple; fashion; fee-based; job-limited; rare), quite gentlemanly.

"Young man, you look familiar! Did you arrive in town today? Or yesterday? My guest list shows you're already staying at our best hotel," John 1573 greeted Loki loudly and warmly.

Loki noticed the red question mark above Mayor John 1573's head. He had originally intended to ask for the quest directly, but considering he was new to the Classic version, he shouldn't be rash and should try to be polite. So Loki prepared to say some other pleasantries.

"Mayor John, hello! I'm Loki, and later on, my profession should be a warrior. Wow! Your name..."

"Ha, Loki~ You're really curious! You guessed right! I'm from the year 1573 trillion in the multiverse calendar. Let me guess what you're thinking. I bet you want to take the last three main quests I have here, right? But, your level isn't over 30 yet, and you haven't chosen a class, which is illegal, and it's also extremely dangerous!" Mayor John advised sincerely.

"Um...uh, okay..." Loki responded reluctantly, knowing that further words would be pointless.

Loki left the office but didn't go far; he was still thinking about what to do.

Loki sat down gently on the wrought iron bench outside the city lord's office. He thought, "If I leave like this, will Elaine look down on me? I was so confident just now, and now I'm backing down. It's a bit unreasonable, but I don't want to offend the city lord's gentlemanly manners. I'm really in a dilemma."

Loki had even dared to imagine extreme plot developments? For example, bribery? Arguing? Throwing tantrums? Swearing? Feigning helplessness? Pretending to be sick? Claiming kinship? Playing dumb? Pretending to be mentally ill? Having epilepsy? Spitting, etc.? Loki had considered all of these, but since he and Elaine had just logged into the "Classic" server, Loki couldn't break the rules, and also wouldn't appear too flamboyant!

"As if anyone can be bought off by dirty money or personal integrity? Going too far lowers the character of others, and inevitably lowers the character (RP; integrity) of oneself and one's friends as well..." Loki thought.
