Dark Eldar
377 The Powerful Executive
The otherworldly Grand Elder, Morza, is scheming meticulously. The responsibility he bears is exceptionally heavy, especially given the current situation. The story is transitioning from chapter 31 to 32. A "Great Cataclysm" event is highly probable in the future!
Far away on the new map "Pris Fortress" (111338), Loki has reached the maximum level! He basically exchanged all the "good stuff" in his warehouse, specifically equipment, for gold coins. A full 5 backpacks full of gold coins.
Loki, fearing the price of experience orbs would rise, didn't hesitate much and directly exchanged his gold for experience orbs. His max-level voice sounded incredibly satisfying! (Sound effect)
"Ding!! Ding ding!"
Loki's upgrade was done in his hotel room, so it didn't attract much attention or envy.
It's important to know that in many maps and locations, leveling up in crowded areas is popular. Solo players prefer this approach, and their motives are simple, albeit unwise: they might want to meet more "opposite-sex" heroes, like the Banshee, but more often than not, they attract "robbers"!
While the laws of this other world are indeed harsh, there are still roaming "bad guys" and ruthless "ugly hero IDs" who kill without blinking an eye.
Long ago, the other world dispatched its elite forces to wipe out the "robbers" on a large scale! Unfortunately, they only managed to kill a small fraction of them. Ultimately, they were heroes without any organization or guild, and devoid of any moral compass.
The bounty order is meaningless to them. After a successful robbery, they may disappear for a long time.
"Order" can certainly provide effective oversight. However, the possibility that the robbers themselves are AI cannot be ruled out. Due to insufficient evidence, the other world currently lacks the resources to eliminate a specific ID. If an elder is sent to investigate this matter, it must be a "notorious" robber. Otherwise, killing a "minor bad account" (one that randomly creates a red name) would not be very meaningful for the benevolent side.
In this alternate world, the most important reference point for evaluating "good and evil" is "whether there has been indiscriminate killing of innocent people?", which refers to NPCs.
The robbers were clever and knew their limits. They only targeted heroes, aiming to avoid "seeking their own death." In short, the multiple worlds are complex, comparable to the real world.
Loki has always hated "robbers" and has killed many. But it's no use. Being a red-named hero is every hero's right. It's the law of the jungle; at worst, you can just run back to your corpse (illegible, some people pay a priest to resurrect them). If it's in a dungeon...
Or in dungeons like Facebook, there's nothing that can be done; it's their own fault for going to dangerous places unprepared! Therefore, any dungeon or instance has a cooldown. For example, if Loki enters a dungeon, he can't enter again without a party. This is a protection mechanism, and also a way to prevent reckless dungeon runs and the indiscriminate collection of resources and equipment. Dungeon bosses also have rights and authority. They can't be killed frequently simply because of their level advantage, while heroes endlessly collect equipment from them and then dismantle it to sell for money.
Upon reaching the maximum level, Loki felt an immense surge of divine power—something he hadn't felt before. Intelligence, strength, stamina, agility, endurance, and protective abilities all reached their highest levels. His equipment suddenly became somewhat incompatible with his current state.
As for Loki's max-level ultimate skill, he didn't hide it. He chose "Exploration." This means that Loki and Edward III are the same; neither of them used any max-level ultimate skills. They forwent skills and opted for "Talent" optimization. This is a common choice among high-level players.
However, some elder heroes, such as Elder Sun Yun, pursue "planar magic," requiring more innovative ultimate skills to unleash their potential. Elder Sun Yun's chosen ultimate skill is "Super Wave Emperor's Insight"! (Since Elder Sun Yun has not yet used it, and he is intentionally hiding it, the description of this max-level ultimate skill is not yet available.)
Elder Schopenhauer (level 999) possesses the ultimate skill "Menas Fireball" at max level! Legend has it that it can melt everything...
Elder Schopenhauer could have chosen the "Wisdom" bonus, but he only reached the maximum level after retiring as Grand Elder. Perhaps to keep a low profile, or perhaps because he needed the ultimate fireball spell, he chose it. This isn't to say that skill selection is bad, but rather that it should be considered based on each character's individual circumstances. The additional damage from powerful skills is invincible. If someone like Loki already has the help of artifacts, then choosing a better skill is less beneficial than continuing to increase their initial talent.
Imagine if every great hero were "all the same," then the other world would be utterly uninteresting.
Once the "Dark Elf Race" reaches max level, they receive no ultimate skills or additional attribute bonuses. This is because many of them are already at max level. They've already received these "benefits" in the original map. Furthermore, the "Dark Elf Race" is already quite powerful, as evidenced by their strength in the arena. Giving them max-level ultimate skills or additional attribute bonuses would be unbalanced for this other world. "Order," bound by the wisdom of the "core layer," primarily functions as an "executor" and "calculator."
