What did the rare elite Barbarian King experience in the past? Nobody knows. Even his former "captain," Luddar, wasn't entirely clear. A gigantic "Tree Mushroom" (Level 60; Non-Boss; Neutral) towers in the sky. Should we "fight" it? The Tree Mushroom has incredibly high defense (single skill: Thick Skin). Dark and Ludar, taking shelter from the rain here late at night, unexpectedly encounter it.

"Lord Dark, are you still thinking about the Oni Clown?" Ludar asked tentatively, kneeling on one knee. Although no one was around, Ludar still felt it necessary to give a formal greeting (the words used when greeting someone are quite different).

"Heh heh," Dark's laughter, hidden behind the mask, sounded particularly sinister. (Guffaw)

"My lord, please allow me to lead the attack myself. If I fail, I am willing to give my life for you!" Ludar volunteered, a risky request he only dared to make under special circumstances. Bringing it up during the daytime legion's military meeting could potentially lead to his death.

Dark's mind was filled with thoughts of how to launch a surprise attack, or simply send everyone to their deaths as cannon fodder. The endless rain was driving him to the brink of madness; Dark had almost forgotten that "his team has a high-ranking strategist..."
