Dark Eldar
286 Spell Bottleneck
I highly recommend "Dark Eldar"! Get straight to the exciting parts.
When exactly did humanity begin to lose its way? Regarding "lost": The real world can no longer satisfy all of humanity's needs; some things may have been poorly designed from the start. Even for some "advanced players" who choose a so-called "laid-back" approach, it becomes difficult to make progress later on. ... Just as the real world descended into chaos, various "virtual worlds" emerged. AI can efficiently solve various human dilemmas, and some even worshipped "order," only to be judged later. The higher-ups would not allow real power in the real world to be managed by "computers." Their power is limited to the "virtual world," now simply called "multi-world." This means: "multi-dimensional," "complex," "unpredictable," and "irreversible." Some have questioned whether these systems are actually trying to forcibly erase past mistakes. ... It's important to know that "DELETE" has the highest level of access. Even if hacked, the possibility of getting a "reversal" is nonexistent. "No one can easily go back on their word!" In the code of conduct of this other world, research into magic has never ceased. High-level meditation once attempted to obtain "authorization" from the Order, but ultimately failed. Sun Yun, the Eastern Homo sapiens, defined "time magic" merely as a "sleight of hand."
Loki saw through the true nature of "time magic" long ago. They infinitely decomposed 1 minute and 1 hour, which can be simply understood as: the caster, the target, and key environmental elements were all transplanted into a "miniature instance." In actual combat, if a powerful boss leader is encountered, they are implicitly "immune" to "time magic." It doesn't have much effect on high-level heroes either, but there's one thing! If the caster's level is high enough, the magic's buff strength and "hit" success rate will also increase significantly. Currently, no hero has been able to max out this overpowered magic with their own level (skill tree; skill points can be allocated independently; cleansing potions and high-level FS drinks are ineffective). The high-level elders of the other world fear that if they encounter a "useless" situation, their high-level IDs might become useless. They might be passable as teachers in the other world, but once they go out into group battles? They'd be considered "trash" (no effective output). He lacks damage output, yet possesses high health and defense. Given his class as a mage (and thus fragile), needless to say, nobody wants to "pair" him up with.
Some heroes even desire "immortality" and "eternal life." For example, there's "Old Demacia" and "Elf Izuru," who are still struggling. Others, like "Joseph," remain out of contact for a long time; he might be training on a higher map or simply "give up" forever. Other "legendary heroes" have progressed relatively normally, with those who should step down, those who should retire, and those who should die, doing so... They may have realized that it's more interesting to create a new character than to "struggle" endlessly. This is because the story quests and later development paths of high-level heroes are no longer subject to the interference of "order." They hold high positions and wield considerable influence. Of course, most people are still unwilling to voluntarily give up "fame" and "fortune." But "legendary heroes" are ultimately a "minority." If everyone could easily become a city lord or other higher-level position, the number of players would be too large to achieve. Unless one plays a "single-player" game, entirely "virtual." People call that kind of map "Muggle World," and the mages who emerge from it are called "Muggle Mages." Compared to mages in the real multiverse, one uses "paper-thin" artifacts in combat, while the other uses truly powerful weapons. There's a famous saying in the rules of this otherworld—"Without being tempered a thousand times, you'll always be a child" (11311). The path to becoming a high-level mage, except for the initial VIP1 purchase (VIP 1), is basically equivalent to the real world (medium difficulty). This is unlike the exaggerated "promotional slogans" in the *Dark Eldar* game's GG interface. At the beginning, the game introduction reads: "Join the battle! Young man, the Light faction urgently needs your participation!! They need your leadership skills! You will definitely grow into the most outstanding commander in this otherworld!! What are you waiting for? The battle horns of the distant Burning Legion are sounding, so hurry up and pick up your sword! Charge! Realize your glorious dream!! Don't hesitate!! Join the battle now..." (Suspected "brainwashing").
So people flocked in, some chose orcs, some chose elves (there were no restrictions in the early stages of the open beta), but the majority chose humans. Others chose werewolves, banshees, dwarves, goblins, etc., hoping to become Wolverine, supermodels, scientific "inventors," and so on in the future.
However, what awaited them was a long, tedious, and monotonous "leveling-up journey." It's commendable that most of them remained steadfast in their beliefs, determined to become the dashing "commanders" in GG's parlance. However, a small number of heroes lost their initial enthusiasm and didn't want to continue.
At the Wrangler's Inn (212363), Loki hadn't left yet. In the quiet of the night, he unconsciously recalled his past experiences in the other world.

Competition in the intermediate-level magic class in this other world is always fierce. Only one apprentice from each cohort can advance to the rank of advanced mage. The number of spots is extremely limited. Including Edward III and the younger werewolf John, each intermediate-level mage trains in their own "isolated area," sweating profusely. These outstanding individuals all appear incredibly hardworking and diligent. One, the level 50 war wolf "Kent," tirelessly tweaks and adjusts a "special item," optimizing and improving his damage output. Other shamans and mages are "busily" casting spells, attempting to grasp a higher level of magical mastery.
The young Loki, ranked high on the list, kept his head down, looking at his equipment, seemingly wanting to speak with the proctor, Professor Schopenhauer. (At this point, Loki was almost losing confidence in his advanced magic. He wanted to try to advance by forging artifacts. The best mage this year was supposed to be Sister Catherine, and since she was a priest, he probably couldn't compete...)
The conversation between Loki and his examiner Schopenhauer was likely about Loki seeking advice on his future career path. At that time, Elder Joseph had not yet disappeared, and Schopenhauer was much younger than he is now.
