Viktor took the summoning stone and casually stuffed it into his pocket.

The entire Dark Legion has appeared! A vast, dark mass! An overwhelming force!!

"Charge!" General Victor ordered!

"Toot—" The horn of attack sounds!

The "shadows" of thousands of troops began to move frantically!

The centaurs of Delsa were already prepared! They used the advantageous terrain to unleash a barrage of "Arcane Arrows" to slaughter the Dark Legion!

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!" Countless arrows rained down, carrying arcane energy! It was a truly spectacular sight!

"Ah! An ambush! Ah! My eyes! Ah!!" The screams of the dark soldiers rose and fell!

General Victor, seeing this, continued to swing his battle blade forward! (Shadow Blade, Purple Level 10)

"Keep moving!" Victor wouldn't allow his soldiers to retreat! He refused to believe he would fail!

Arcane magic belongs to the "Light" magic category, specifically designed to counter dark creatures. Most of the centaur's arcane arrows were crafted by human mages. The centaur leader traveled to the "other world" a month in advance to make a trade (exchanging their "horns" for arcane arrows).

The precious centaur horn grows slowly; a single mature horn can be exchanged for ten thousand arcane arrows. (The horn can be used to extract rare "natural elements"; potions.)

Centaurs are naturally strong and skilled archers! They almost always hit the heads of the dark soldiers with precision. Some centaurs even blinded their enemies.

Victor's Dark Legion has suffered more than half its losses. But Victor is still not giving up.

"Keep pushing! Maintain formation! Keep pushing!" Attempting to break through the blockade!

Some arrows were even aimed at Victor, but alas! Victor deflected them directly back! (Victor's passive ability: Randomly triggers physical backlash)

The skilled centaur archer was killed instantly.

The rain of arrows intensified, falling like raindrops. Magic crystals littered the ground, but no one bothered to collect them. (Dark soldiers turn into black magic crystals upon death; they can be resurrected.)

If they continue advancing, the Dark Legion is estimated to lose two-thirds of its forces.

Viktor was frightened and signaled for the legion to retreat!

"Retreat! Move to the back! Retreat!!"

Victor himself did not retreat; he was unwilling to give up!

Viktor leaped from his "Dark Warhorse" and charged into the archer camp on the mountain!

He gripped his Shadow Blade tightly, hacking and slashing wildly! His Shadow Blade was enchanted with an "Assimilation" effect! Any centaur damaged by his "Blade Wave" would become a "Dark Soldier"! (The Assimilation effect only applies to novice centaurs; intermediate centaurs have a lower chance of being assimilated.)

"Whoa!—" A neighing sound!

On the mountain ridge, the "Dark Centaur" has appeared! Victor's skill bar has lost over 30%. (Total skill points: 12000; 2000 are from enhancements)

Although "Assimilation" is an enchantment effect of Shadow Blade, to achieve complete assimilation, a large amount of Viktor's skill bar must be consumed at the same time.

The young Dark General was panting heavily! He was trying to fight the entire centaur tribe alone...

The assimilated centaur soldiers changed from their original brownish-red color to a shadowy hue! The hindquarters of the horses gradually faded, as the ancient divine beast sealed the "centaur" from "decline"! Therefore, the Dark Legion only gained a few "puppet archers" who could shoot arrows. (After assimilation, their appearance changed; their skills were retained.)

The arrows fired by the "Shadow Archer" are Shadow Arrows, still enchanted with Viktor's "Assimilation Effect".

A well-hidden centaur "Shaman" (intermediate level) attempts to unleash a "Chain of Lightning" to annihilate "his former kin." (The current highest-ranking centaur shaman is "Bogor," whose strength is only equivalent to a mid-level human mage.)

They were acutely aware that the "Dark Archers" were no longer their brothers and sisters.

"You delusional fools! Ah!—" Victor roared deafeningly, wildly swinging his "Shadow Blade"!

Some mid-level centaurs drop "blue" equipment upon death! Nearby centaurs on the battlefield can seize this opportunity to pick it up and continue fighting! (Vine Bow, Blue, Level 8; Enchantment: Arcane Power Level 2)

Viktor's skills are half depleted, and he's starting to weaken. The Shadow Archers continue their great battle! They've already "developed" over 200! The centaur tribes are scattered, so their numbers are still uncertain. The centaur archmage "Bogor" has yet to appear.

"We can't afford to waste any more energy! Otherwise, we won't be able to compete with Bogor!" Victor muttered to himself.

Victor's Dark Legion was of a low level, mostly composed of novice Shadow Soldiers, and therefore lacked the ability to fly. This was something Victor wanted to improve; he wanted to win more battles to upgrade his army.

"The remnants of Delsa don't seem easy to deal with! I can't lose! I can't lose! If I lose, I'll have no chance!" Victor encouraged himself! (Encouragement: Increases overall attributes by 20% for 2 hours)

Victor absolutely cannot lose; the competition among the new generation of dark mages is far more brutal than in this "other world"! No ability? Defeat? Then...
