Dark Eldar
236 The Numb Oni Warrior
A tranquil, pastoral life is the "keynote" (foundation) of all NPCs. Of course, some aspire to become heroes. (Note: After recharging, partial "awakening" can be achieved, unlocking and completing random trial missions. These are difficult and have a relatively low success rate, making it easier to directly create a "hero.")
Kevin Garni (571353), Pluto Islands.
Lately, Dark has been feeling exhausted. He and his team have conquered too many towns, city-states, and islands. The "boring" feeling of domination mode is gradually increasing.
Even the young elven brother and sister were getting a little tired of it. They not only expanded their military, but also established a powerful new "Ghost Clan" unit. Their leader was a Ghost Clan minor leader who had been persuaded to surrender, named "Ardan," level 93. Although his level was high, he was clearly at a disadvantage against the combined forces of Dark and the elven prince, Ilet. He was even bound...
"Ludar, level 90+ Oni are hard to come by. He's yours. Let's see what you can find out!" Dark immediately gave the order, sending Ludar, who had the most "interrogation experience," to negotiate with him.
A makeshift interrogation room. Ludar begins his "new mission." (No gold coin reward)
"Hello! Brother of the Ghost Clan!" Ludar greeted him politely.
The bound Oni is a level 93 hero, essentially belonging to Kevin Garnier's "Native Oni" race (indigenous). His appearance is strikingly similar to an "oni"! With his ghostly green skin, his design is definitely that of a true "Oni Samurai."
The interrogation was long and complicated. Ludar used all his tricks—coercion, bribery, flattery, talking about beautiful women, money, negotiating terms, and so on—a whole series of tactics. In the end, he successfully persuaded (or rather, seduce) the tall and mighty demon warrior.
The highest level of temporary camp (3 levels).
"Lord Dark, he has agreed." Ludar knelt on one knee and reported to Dark.
"Huh?? What kind of demon race is this? Our Ludar took care of him so easily. I thought he'd be much tougher; the contrast with the battle is huge. Alright, alright, I understand. You may leave." Dark said casually. Ludar wanted to add something more, but seeing this, he had no choice but to hold back.
After establishing the Oni team (a 30-person team, with no Oni soldiers yet to be recruited), Dark was initially uneasy. Afterwards, he had a brief conversation with the "Oni Warrior."
"How long have you been in Kevin Garnier (in Common)?" Dark asked tentatively at the training ground. He also wanted to get a general idea of the race's situation.
"Kill me or torture me as you please, we oni are invincible!!" the oni warrior replied stiffly, his face numb.
"Go, summon Ludar." Upon hearing this, Darke became angry and ordered his DK soldiers.
"My lord, what's wrong?" Ludar rushed over in a panic.
"He seems to be an elite monster?" Dark asked angrily.
"My lord, he is a true hero, just not quite like us," Ludar replied in a low voice, panting.
"??"
"Alright, you ask him. I'll listen. Let's see how he answers." Dark stepped back temporarily, wanting to see just who this "Demon Warrior" really was.
"Name!" Ludar stepped forward and asked directly.
"Aldan," the Oni Warrior answered quickly.
"Gender?" Ludar then asked.
"male."
And so, as if researching for a document, Ludar asked the "Oni Samurai" a ton of "useless questions."
"Are you willing to submit to the great Dark Legion?" Finally, Ludar abruptly asked the "topic."
"I'm willing," the Oni Warrior replied without hesitation.
"Roger that! Soldier, please always keep your promise," Luda commanded. (Suspected of stealing the line)
"Received!" the Oni Warrior replied quickly.
After asking his question, Ludall walked toward Dak and knelt on one knee: "My lord, you see, he has been completely tamed by us."
"...And what about their combat strength? Is it just as weak as that?" Dark noticed something amiss and asked deliberately.
"A combat strength of 50. I've done my best," Ludal replied.
"Are all high-ranking demons the same?" Dark asked doubtfully.
"My lord, if we build more magic traps later on, the demon mages might be better off. Aldan's intelligence is completely off; I suspect he's been dead for thousands of years and has been resurrected countless times," Ludar analyzed.
"Alright!! The Oni Clan, the Oni Clan, they're just oni, right?? Are our enemies a bunch of these things???" Dark muttered to himself.
The DK CEO below sighed softly (gesture: K). He suddenly felt a strong resemblance to the "Onimusha" (Demon Warrior). Both were like "chess pieces," resurrected again and again, fighting and fighting... Even in death, they couldn't escape their "fate"...
Dark's hearing and vision were exceptionally sharp. He noticed the CEO's sighs below but remained silent. The war seemed destined to continue forever... Only half of the "DK soldiers" remained. Some were dead, others wounded... Only a piece of "obsidian" remained, waiting to one day return to the otherworldly "altar" for resurrection.
The DKs, whose will was already somewhat clouded, may have become even more chaotic after the constant fighting (due to limited model memory). Especially the DK executives, now only three remain, all level 68. Back in the alternate world, they could easily hold higher military ranks. Unfortunately, they're trapped in "Kevin Garney," and there are many battles to fight! With insufficient medical care, who will survive is anyone's guess.
Dark's army suffered heavy losses, yet the legion's overall size continued to expand. Most of the old guard were dead or wounded, and the current ranks were entirely composed of new recruits. Some were "coerced," others "volunteer." Volunteers and involuntary soldiers were mixed together. Ludar could no longer manage them precisely. Dark was even less willing to manage them further. Ludar, the leadership, including the elven siblings, generally believed: "As long as they have arms and legs and can pick up weapons and charge, that's enough. What does it matter what their origins are, whether they're male or female, or what their ulterior motives are? Once the war horn sounds, just go and fight..."
