The feeling of "oppression" was not unfamiliar to Loki. He had experienced similar "crisis" during his long studies in magic.

Loki's "Purification" spell originated from a priest's basic skill. Its effect is merely to induce "pleasure."

Later, Loki's "Purification" ability improved along with his level, gradually becoming able to "cleanse the mind" and "purify the soul." ("Redemption")

Even Catherine, the priestess from the "other world," couldn't master the "Purification" spell into "Redemption." Similar spells include "Holy Light" and "Divine Meditation."

"Holy Light" can indeed save lives, but it consumes too much mana, and no mage would want to use it frequently.

"Demonic Meditation" is ancient, and the scroll has long been lost. No one knows what "Demonic Meditation" actually is...

Archmage Assef once praised Loki at a temple assembly, commending him for abandoning advanced magic studies to continue delving into the seemingly uninteresting "basic magic." Unfortunately, that's all history now... (The Archmage had originally planned for Loki to major in "Shape Reduction").

After Elder Asif went missing, Loki followed Elder Sun Yun.
