Dark Eldar

2 Yundar Savage Serpent

After eating the precious dwarf bread, Loki's physical strength was restored, and he immediately felt much better.

"The dwarven house might be a trap. If it collapses, I'll be enslaved by the dwarves. I can escape, but I have to leave. I can't eat magic bread forever, can I?"

Loki decisively left the dwarf's house. He chose to continue wandering.

Yundar's territory consists of vast plains, without any "barriers." The name sounds quite nice; I wonder who came up with it. Could it be...?

"A man-eating snake!" Loki nearly fell over.

A hideous, giant gray snake was lurking in the dry grass by the roadside. Its distinctive red eyes gleamed, and it flicked its long, blood-red tongue.

Loki dared not meet their gaze. Or rather, he dared not provoke them.

"If the serpents suddenly emerge, I believe two shots will be enough! Shoot them in the vital spot—their eyes!" Loki thought to himself.

What he didn't expect was that the two bullets from his homemade gun were still a little damp.

Fortunately, pythons are generally not aggressive during the day; perhaps they don't want to expose themselves and become prey for other creatures in order to attract a large prey.

Loki aimed his gun around, seemingly to intimidate. Of course, he dared not aim at the serpent.

Loki walked for several hours toward a water source. He found nothing of value along the way, mostly just things like "thousand-leaf grass, stone shields, and ape-men."

"Thousand-leaf grass" can stop bleeding, we already have that. "Stone shield" is too bulky.

"Ape-men" can be tamed, but there isn't enough food to keep them.

"There's plenty of time in the future..."

At midday, the sun was blazing. Loki was sweating profusely.

Cattle, sheep, horses, and even camels and wildebeest graze and drink water leisurely on the vast grasslands. It's estimated that by dusk, some of the weaker or sick members of their herd will become food for the giant serpent.

"It's not terrible or cruel. That's just how the law is. You can't expect cows and horses to eat grass and then switch them to meat, can you? And you can't expect carnivores like tigers and wolves to eat grass, can you?"

Loki sometimes examines the "laws" and the "order." After all, the world has gradually become fragmented! How can cows, horses, and camels possibly graze together?

The concept of "order" has become unfathomable, and everyone is re-examining the world and striving to survive.

Loki simply lay down in the shade of a tree near the sheep flock for a midday rest.

"Slaughter a sheep?"

"Oh, no! That's too cruel."

"Besides, I don't have the ability or the habit..." When he has nothing to do, Loki can only "talk" to his own thoughts.

"Some people say that once you find the Eldar and join them, you will never die again."

"Heh!" Loki chuckled wryly.

Loki isn't actually afraid of death; in fact, you could say he doesn't even know what true death is. A mysterious priest can bring the dead back to life with a few incantations...

Loki no longer wants to be resurrected; he has always regarded this soul as his last life! Now Loki has become extremely cautious and careful.

The high mages and howlers who knew Loki in the "other world" were all astonished when they saw Loki's current state through the crystal ball! They never expected that the person in such a sorry state would be Loki?!

"Nowadays, Loki is busy running around for a loaf of bread and a homemade gun."

"Back then, Loki would just throw away cold iron and ice crystals as trash."

Times have changed.

Loki's worldview changed, and so did Loki himself. He was no longer the elegant monarch, but a ragged ronin.

To say he has nothing left? At least the "Mold of the Creator" still exists, and it was "forged" by him back then, bound to his soul. Unless Loki agrees, no one else can get it.

"The Hammer of the Creator"? Just the name sounds so powerful! It's like a divine artifact?

"Well, it's just a handy tool that's been disassembled and reforged," Loki explained.

"How was it forged?" Loki asked himself, as if the sheep beside him were asking the same question.

The old sheep's question stumped Loki. Loki had always thought he remembered everything perfectly.

But as it turns out, Loki also forgets, and Loki also grows old...
