Dark Eldar

169 Continue on the road

The rare elite "Barbarian King" is, in terms of status, quite an oddity. He got lost. He should have brought a map, but the Barbarian King kept thinking he was in another world. After walking a long way, he finally realized: "I'm actually in Kevin Garnier."

The path he had come by was gradually becoming blurred. His large mount, the rhinoceros, though possessing sharp horns (capable of fighting!), had its advantages and disadvantages. Pets or mounts that are capable of combat generally lack a "pathfinding" function... The barbarian king was even more confused. He rode the rhinoceros, wandering around in circles. He felt that all directions looked the same.

"This is terrible! If only I had a map. Even a half-human 'civilian map' would be fine!" (A civilian map costs 30 silver coins at the general store. It's not expensive, but it's limited in function and not very accurate. As for information on monster distribution and drops, 30 silver coins definitely won't buy that.)

The sun was setting, and darkness was approaching. The Barbarian King, limping, put away his rhino mount. In this respect, he was quite shrewd. The advantage was that riding the mount would allow him to travel further (60 speed bonus); however, "pleasure" would decrease. The Barbarian King didn't want the rhino to "escape."

In the darkness, the barbarian king limped on, guided only by his senses. He firmly believed he was right. As long as he kept going, he would eventually see Gludin's castle.

Occasionally, some monsters (level 30-40) with offensive attributes appear along the way. When they encounter "elite rare monsters" that are taller and more imposing than half a person, they all hide behind rocks or thick tree trunks. They dare not attack first; the ordinary red monsters understand that "they are up to no good."

The barbarian king limped laboriously, the oilcloth on his golden cane quickly wearing out. His rough hands, almost like gauze, rubbed against the handle... The barbarian king simply tore it all off and threw it away.

"Hmm. The bare, metallic feel is still the most comfortable," the Barbarian King chuckled self-deprecatingly, trying to lighten the mood. He didn't care about rare metals anymore. Anyone who dared to steal his "Golden Staff" would face his wrath! (Golden Staff, two-handed weapon, originally level 10, purple; later enhanced by "DK Intermediate Blacksmith" to +8, now equivalent to a level 45 two-handed staff in another world, blue; Note: Ludar secretly provided the Emerald Gems needed for the enhancement.)

The Barbarian King's other equipment, such as his chest armor, shoulder pads, leg guards, plate boots, and belt, is already among the best of elite monsters in this other world. However, he's been leveling up quickly lately, going from level 43 to 48, thanks to the significant amount of experience points he's gained from the team.

Besides the "Golden Staff," the Barbarian King also carries another two-handed weapon: the "Elite Battle Axe," a high-quality purple weapon he only uses in battle. It's more than enough for him to use until level 60! [Note: Levels 45 and 60 are insurmountable "mountains" for all heroes, elite monsters, engineers, and priests!]

Simply grinding (farming monsters) every day won't get you anywhere fast enough to level up quickly. You need to rely on main quests, teamwork, countless side quests, and consistent daily tasks to barely reach level 60! This excludes high-level heroes in the "Otherworld." For high-level mages in the Otherworld, level 70 and beyond is generally a "climbing phase" where there are no more elders to guide them; they must rely entirely on themselves! To increase their autonomy, they must complete challenging "red quests," "yellow quests," "justice value assessments," "major events," and "epic battles." ...

The barbarian king, exhausted from his journey, clutched his golden cane tightly, leaned against an ancient paulownia tree, and fell asleep.

Night fell, and a cool breeze swept through. He was utterly exhausted! In his deep sleep, he had a dream...

"Father, when I grow up, I will definitely become the most powerful barbarian king!"

The wilderness. The barbarian king has arrived at his "barbarian homeland" (511443).

"Father believes in you! Man! You are the hope of our people! Father will always bless you! Giving you boundless strength and courage! Overcome all hardships and difficulties! Become the greatest 'elite' barbarian king!" The barbarian king's father said a series of encouraging words to the little barbarian king!

Old Barbarian King, Level 23! Strongman! He has well-developed muscles and is incredibly strong! Like a bodybuilding champion!

Upon hearing this, Xiao Man jumped incredibly high. He was so excited! He used all his strength to lift the large rock and throw it at the "scarecrow"! Instantly, he became "LV2"!

In beginner areas, Barbarian Kings usually use wooden clubs to hit several "giant scarecrows" in succession until they reach level 5 before they fall and you gain experience points. But after hearing his father's "blessing words," the young Barbarian King suddenly unleashed a critical hit with a giant rock! The level 5 scarecrow fell instantly.

"Dad! How about that? See how awesome I am?!" the little barbarian king proudly boasted to his father, the old barbarian king.

"Small--"

The Barbarian King awoke. Tears streamed down his face. In this night of howling winds, the Barbarian King dreamt of the "funny thing" of his "first level-up" as a child. He understood: "I am a barbarian, and a monster at that. Life is short. The image of my father, the old Barbarian King, is gradually fading in my mind. I wanted to become a tall and mighty warrior like my father! But I didn't last long before I became crippled. Father, my life may be a failure. I can no longer be as strong as I was as a child! As domineering as I was! I feel, I feel I can't hold on much longer... Father..." the Barbarian King murmured to himself.

After an unknown amount of time, the dark, howling wind still howled. The barbarian king rubbed his eyes, regaining his senses. He used his golden cane to support himself, leaning against an ancient paulownia tree, and stood up! He wanted to—continue his journey.
