Dark Eldar

149. Statue of the First Generation of Thunder Sound

Monsters, ancient people, heroes, elite monsters, bosses, elite bosses; mages, warriors, priests, rogues, shamans, rangers, and all other classes. Every person, every monster, every elemental monster, has a "flaw." Some are obvious, some are subtle. Some know these secrets, while others will never know them in their entire lives. —Otherworldly Rules 22647

"Once we cross those snow-capped mountains, we'll reach Thunder Sound City! It's a natural barrier for Thunder Sound Castle!" Loki said. He had explored almost every map in the multiple worlds; how many times had he visited? Loki didn't keep track. He didn't like writing in his "log." (No backup)

"Hmm, Loki! Why don't we fly over there?" Benjamin was eager to get into the city and take a look.

"Ben! Is this your first time here? You feel the same way I do when it's my first time!"

"Yes! I've been to Casterly Rock (the capital city of dwarves and goblins) before, to learn advanced jewelry making! This is my first time in Thunder Sound City! You know, I've been in this other world for so long and haven't been out much. Elder Schopenhauer is very strict with us!" As they spoke, a gust of cold air suddenly came, and their breath was visible in the air as they spoke.

"The snow scenery on the mountain is beautiful! Hurry!" Loki started running!

Benjamin VI, using his agile gait (initial attribute), followed closely behind.

On the other side of the snow-capped mountains, at Thunder Castle, the 17th Rebel Legion's "Barbarian King" (not rare) and his remaining followers prepared to enter the city. Their six or seven "Kodo Beast Mounts" were panting heavily, mouths agape! These aged Kodo Beast mounts were robust; each could carry five people, suitable for long journeys, truly "long-distance dedicated mounts."

"Non-human race, fee: 1G per person." A level 47 dwarf guard was setting up a fee collection point at the entrance.

Upon seeing this, the Barbarian King exclaimed, "Damn it! Why is Thunder Sound City charging an entrance fee?!" (Other major cities are known to be free of charge; reason: unknown)

"Leader! Give it to him. We don't need that 1 G coin! Here, this is my 'entrance fee' money," shouted the "wanderers" behind them, handing over the gold coins to the leader. They had followed the Barbarian King's leader for years, fighting in constant battles (plundering, gold-hunting raids), and had earned quite a bit of money.

Everyone else, including the human "Lorna" (female, level 41 assassin), paid the fee. The quirky "Lorna" practiced diligently every day, and her level quickly reached 41, almost surpassing the guild leader, the Barbarian King. The Barbarian King also praised her performance highly! (Barbarians and orcs generally dislike human women.)

The 17th Legion successfully entered the city. Although they still call themselves a "legion," their numbers are a mere 30, a stark contrast to their former glory of over 300. The 17th Legion initially recruited a large number of members, boasting the best reputation and credibility among all the rebel legions. After the Barbarian King's repeated defeats, he was forced to leave the Void Fortress. Each member of the group had their own agenda. They followed the Barbarian King from afar largely for the sake of solidarity, hoping that if Ludar returned one day, they could regain their former fame. (Note: For inexperienced elite monsters and low-level warriors like the "Wanderer," owning even one purple weapon in their lifetime is considered "perfect." Little do they know, purple weapons are "insignificant" to heroes like Rudar and Dark... No one can explain why this is. It seems some people never understand this in their entire lives—"Why do some heroes live their entire lives doing nothing? Even if they are born with 'purple weapons'..."; "Redemption Code," "Serial Number," "Verification Code," "Limited Newbie Gift Pack")

Loki and Benjamin VI, having traversed the snow-covered mountains with great difficulty, arrived at the majestic gates of Thundercastle (a high-level main city, level 500, no protective shield required). Benjamin VI stopped to admire the sights.

"Wow! That sculpture must be the first one! He looks a bit different from the sculptures in our other world!" Benjamin asked, scratching his head. He could sometimes show a naive side, something Loki admired most. Loki thought, "If heroes were all 'trained' according to the other world's methods, all apprentices would develop into 'Edward III.' But that might be an interesting thing, though?"

"Let's go, let's go into town!" Loki walked up the steps.

The dwarf guard (level 47) spotted the strangers in the crowd from afar? Loki and Benjamin, not even having mounts, looked down on them. Want to charge an extra 1G?

Edward and Loki were covered in dust, having just run down from the snowy mountains. Their clothes were wet and they hadn't had time to change into dry ones. They did indeed look a bit "shivering," like the attire of the First Men.

"Going to the city? Country bumpkin? It costs 1G for two people! I've been very merciful, you know." The dwarf guard said with difficulty.

"Here you go! You dwarf uncle! 1G." Loki readily handed over the money.

"Brother, I saw on the 'Entry Notice' at the gate that it says humans don't have to pay?" Benjamin, young and impetuous, couldn't believe he had to pay to enter his own capital city.

"Isn't this blatant bullying?" Benjamin was quite angry. He turned around to launch an arcane missile.

"No, Ben, we're here on business, not for fun. You'll get hurt if you act impulsively," Loki stopped him.

"Come on! Come on! Let's go inside! I'll explain everything to you later," Loki said, patting him on the shoulder. He was confident he could persuade Benjamin. After all, he wasn't Edward. If Edward were here, he'd probably do what Benjamin did: take all the guards down to "half their health bars."

"Okay! I'll listen to your senior brother!" Benjamin suppressed his anger. He knew perfectly well that Loki, who could forge the artifact "Mold of the Creator," definitely had a "mysterious" side. Benjamin also knew perfectly well that he came in as a team mainly to learn, not to fight! If he wanted to fight, he could come alone later. (Benjamin VI truly lived up to his reputation as a hereditary "new generation" sorcerer, the beloved disciple of Elder Schopenhauer! His wisdom and reasoning abilities were comparable to Edward III! As for Loki? First of all, Loki himself was not a "hereditary sorcerer," and besides, Loki had already forged an "artifact," and was also older than Benjamin, so there was no comparison...)
