Dark had already decided not to return to the other world, and the simple-minded old Dema could not restrain him.

"Every 'mission' has its own unique purpose. Don't underestimate them. Whether it's killing 10 enraged boars at level 1 or hunting high-level monsters later on, they all contain a special 'meaning,' connecting every map and every person's heart." This quote from Elder Morsa in *Otherworldly Rules* (13111) explains Dark's current "choice."

"My lord, shall we return to Gludin Castle? The barbarian king must be getting impatient. I fear for his intelligence," Ludal asked.

The Kent City Council Chamber is much larger and more imposing than the one in Gludin. The original wooden floors have all been replaced with marble, a truly striking sight.

"No rush, it's too chaotic here, let's not go back yet. Besides, Kents Tull, that chatterbox, what does he even know? Why didn't I kill him back then?" Dark's impatience was rising. The city, fresh from the ravages of war, was in disarray, just as Gludin had been. The werewolf howls distracted Dark.

"My lord, please take care of yourself and get some rest. I will definitely be able to silence those savages completely..." Ludar conceived a plan to change the chaotic state of Kent. (Side quest)

Nighttime, bulletin board. Update:

"Civilians and soldiers of Kent City, you must remain silent! Lord Dark's patience is finite. He does not wish to kill innocent civilians. I understand you are not yet ready to completely submit to Lord Dark's rule. Kent's fate is in your hands. Werewolves, please remain silent! After midnight, conduct inspections in the square! And strictly enforce this order ALL."

The announcement caused an uproar in Kent, even more chaotic than before. Merchants selling trinkets and daggers, idle soldiers, and even Gludin's half-humans and elite monsters all raised their voices. Some protested, "We've won the war and want to go back to town! (Gludin)"; others joined Dark in protesting against the "werewolfs"!

Kent's old lord, Kentus Thur, attempted to "relinquish power," but he failed. All the city's inhabitants, orcs, and werewolves placed their hopes on Kentus Thur! They tried to use this method to force Dark out of the city...

The Elf Prince Irete and his sister Eliza didn't cause much trouble. He and his sister Eliza had a certain affinity for creatures of nature. Or perhaps they were more suited to be the "leaders" of werewolves and "tree people."

"Sister, it seems Dark is struggling to stay afloat after the battle?" Irete asked from inside the room. (Temporary accommodation)

"I advise you to ignore him and observe from the shadows! The werewolves are probably being sabotaged by someone!" Eliza, the younger sister, always saw things more clearly than her brother. Unfortunately, she was wrong. No one among the werewolves was currently "interfering." Every low-ranking werewolf was focused on survival, and none dared to step forward.

"Ludal, what's going on? Why is the noise getting louder and louder? What are they saying? Why do I feel like I've been weakened all of a sudden?" Dark asked impatiently and in surprise.

Upon hearing Dak's words, Ludall quickly tested his own fighting strength to see if he had weakened.

"Thank goodness, I didn't," Ludall thought to himself. His "military" skills, though high, were only for fighting. Currently, Kent's problems lay in its "management." His military talent—his first instinct?—led Ludall to suggest a "massacre."

"Ludal? What should we do?" Dark felt dizzy and disoriented. He suddenly felt as if he had truly been weakened, his whole body powerless... The once "arrogant" Dark Messenger was in trouble!!

"Kill him?? Kill him?? Kill him???" Ludall hesitated. Was he afraid this was a "test"? (Also known as a "trial," a special mission that every hero has experienced.)

"My lord, perhaps we should return to Gludin first. This might be a trick by Kentes?" Ludal speculated.

"What?! What did you say?! It's so noisy! Call Kents Tour here!" Darke ordered, covering his head.

Shortly after, the half-werewolf, Kents Thur, arrived. He carried his ancestral staff, which Luddar had "returned" to him after bidding, claiming it was for "rental." ... (According to the law, the person who receives the equipment has the right to make final decisions, whether it's dismantling or "renting," and Luddar dared not "gift" it.)

"Ludal! Quickly take that staff back!!" Dark suddenly ordered.

"Whoosh!" In less than half a second, the "Guardian's Scepter" was back in Ludar's hand!

"......"

The world suddenly became quiet, and the werewolves' noise subsided, gradually returning to normal volume!

Dark has gone invisible! Energy is rapidly recovering!!

5 seconds later.

"Ludal, give me the damned scepter!" Darke commanded.

Ludall quickly and cautiously handed it over, after all, it was his "mistake." (Regarding the loan, Dak had no right to criticize, since the final ownership of the item no longer belonged to Kents Tour.)

"Kentas, do you know your crime?" Dark asked coldly. Judging from the "strength" of Dark's voice, Ludar judged that Dark had recovered 80% of his combat power!

"My lord! Dark, my lord! I didn't do anything!" Kent Stuhl knelt and begged for mercy, his voice trembling.

"Please remember!! You will never be able to possess this weapon again in this lifetime!!!" With that, Dark dismantled it!

"The Watcher's Badge!!!!!" Everyone in the hall was shocked! (Including Ludal)

The "Badge of Resilience," the "Badge of Courage," and the "Badge of the Watcher"! These are hailed as the three great intangible treasures of the multiverse...
