Dark Eldar

136 Kent

Kevin Garnier, Gludin Castle. Dark the Dark Messenger's reputation is maxed out. While all the "citizens" fear Dark's cruelty, none dare speak of it privately. It's as if nothing has happened; after all, every household in the castle, whether half-human, orc, elite monster, or human, has their homes overflowing with "loot." Currently, it can't be sold immediately (it's unsold). But at least, the villagers have enough "insect meat" stored up to eat for half a year (preserved). Some elite monsters are even eating it raw!

"Brother, you should try some too!" The elf sister Eliza ate the freshly roasted insect meat. Her "cooking skills" were already advanced; the delicious dishes she made according to "recipes" all had various attribute bonuses (due to ingredient limitations, recipes that were too good couldn't be cooked). The soldiers from other camps were incredibly envious, but Deputy Battalion Commander Eliza only cooked for the "resilient humans" once a week. It was considered a "perk."

The first morning of every week is meeting day in the town of Gludin. Ludar noted this in advance on the notice board, lest some careless battalion commander "forget" it. Lord Dark might soon "initiate" a new plan, such as sending troops!

The following day, in the council hall on the third floor of Gludin, the battalion commanders were divided according to their rank from highest to lowest. The elf Irete stood at the front, followed by "The Slayer," Kago Bloodrage (an orc, demoted), the two-headed half-human Loma, Karon (an intelligent monster), and the female battalion commander "Enchantress." There were six battalions, totaling 20061200 men, plus 500 existing scouts (primarily responsible for city defense and daily patrols, also handling "judicial" duties), 453 Dark Knight Dark Soldiers from Dark, and 1200 lower-ranking militia (cannon fodder). Dark's total force was now close to 5000 men.

Regarding the young orc Kagol Bloodrage (former military commander), Dark spared his life. Dark didn't want the orcs to lack support. (Executing the orc leader and then trying to reorganize the city's orcs quickly? That would be tricky. Orcs are always a bunch of bloodthirsty brutes; whether in the alternate world or in Kevin Garnier, the orcs haven't changed...)

"...Alright, meeting adjourned! Everyone, disperse. We'll set off immediately for Kent City (151, 112). That town is a level 13 castle with over 4000 years of history. The lord and guardians are still 'half-humans.' If I'm not mistaken, they should also have connections with the Zerg. You all need to prepare yourselves! Especially your natural resistance and antidote potions. Remember!! Don't let morale drop!! I want a complete victory!!!" After Dark finished his announcement, Steward Ludar gestured for everyone to leave.

"Oh, Kago! You stay here, let's talk alone." Dark called back the orc battalion commander.

"Let's go, brother, this has nothing to do with us!" The elf brother and sister vanished in a flash.

"Yes, sir!!"

In the previous battle, when Kagor, hiding in the watchtower, saw the Zerg flying army wiped out by Dark in one move, he was almost scared to death. He rushed down the tower and frantically hacked at the Zerg with his Whirlwind Axe.

"Kago, have a taste, have a drink." As soon as Dak turned his head, he poured two glasses of red wine.

Kago dared not refuse, and with trembling hands, he took the glass and gulped it down. Even though he knew it was poison, he dared not disobey.

After drinking it, Kago thought the red wine tasted quite good. Dak also took a small sip. Although Dak was an elemental being, he couldn't live without water. Dak was extremely self-disciplined! He only drank occasionally.

"Kago, please give me back my empty glass." Dark reached out to take the empty glass. Dark's energy arm looked terrifying!

Just as the handover was taking place, the wine glass fell! It shattered on the floor. (Intentionally)

"Ah! My crystal glass!" Dark exclaimed calmly.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! My lord! It was my mistake! It was my mistake!" the orc cried in panic.

Dak did not respond. He stared coldly at the broken glass and Kago.

The room was completely empty, eerily quiet. Kago frantically picked up the shards of glass with his hands. His hands were enormous and very rough. He could barely pick up the remaining glass fragments, but the orc still gripped them desperately until his skin was raw and bleeding profusely.

"Alright! Alright, stop making a mess of my floor. I don't like the smell of blood. Let Ludar clean it up later!" Dark said.

The resourceful Ludal had been waiting outside the door for some time. He immediately pushed the door open, gesturing for the orc Kago to leave. Ludal meticulously cleaned with a dry cloth and a damp cloth. He carefully tossed the scraps into the trash can, then diligently wiped the floor. He tossed the old damp cloth into the trash can and jogged over! He replaced the old trash can with a new one as quickly as possible, all with effortless grace. After finishing, Ludal stood respectfully about 4 or 5 meters away from Dak, saying nothing, head bowed, ready to await orders. (This reveals Ludal's wisdom and cunning, and also, his hidden skill of "groveling," which even he himself was unaware of!)

"Ludal, do you think he will be loyal?" After a long while, Dak asked.

"My lord, I see that his arrogance has vanished, leaving only fear and loyalty..." Ludall echoed.

"Oh? That's how I treated you back then. Now you see. And you're the only one truly loyal... aren't you? We must achieve something in Kevin Garnier before we go back!!" Dark said, crushing the crystal glass in his hand!

"Yes, sir! I will always be at your service!" Ludar said nothing more, kneeling on one knee as a gesture of loyalty.
