Dark Eldar

13 William Arms Shop

"The guards aren't very vigilant, and there's no city defense or magic cannons, so this fortress probably isn't very high-level."

Just as Loki had predicted, this was indeed a rudimentary fortress. In other words, it wasn't purely a dwarf "settlement." There should be more than just dwarves here; there would also be humans, Moors, other races, and even elves.

It is unlikely that elves will appear in Yundar; they have always been noble and look down on barren lands.

Loki continued walking in the direction the dwarf guards had gone.

"Hello! Young man!" On the road, an uncle carrying sacks of grain or something similar smiled and greeted Loki.

Loki nodded naturally in acknowledgment.

This uncle looks like he just came back from buying things at the market.

Loki didn't foolishly ask questions, partly because he was afraid of revealing that he was an outsider, and partly because he felt it would be impolite.

Following the direction the man had come from, Loki heard and smelled "lively sounds" and "fragrant aromas".

The market was bustling with activity!

There were vendors selling food, weapons, rings, jewelry, magic books, armor repair, and weapon repair—it was quite comprehensive.

"Hey~ Need some high-quality weapons? Or equipment repair, warrior?" A merchant called out to Loki from across the street.

"No, thank you!"

Loki certainly possessed weapons. His "Mjolnir," being a "divine artifact," had negligible durability and wear and tear, requiring no maintenance whatsoever. He dared not use it lightly, as that would surely cause chaos and commotion.

The Hammer of the Creator was clipped to Loki's back. He didn't even dare put it in his backpack, keeping it close to his body for safekeeping.

Without Yundar currency, Loki dared not buy anything, fearing he would attract the guards.

"That would only cause more trouble. We might as well sell some things first."

The "William's Arms Shop" sign was the largest, and inside they sold broadswords, crossbows, spears, battle axes, several silver staves, farm tools, and more. Loki glanced around; most of the equipment was simple, mostly green or even colorless. The highest-grade item was the short sword in the glass case (Blue Level 6).

"The Blade of the Dolch, without any bonuses, is level 10 at max level. Aren't they afraid of it being stolen?" Loki scratched his head, studying the origin of the dagger.

"Was it forged or dropped?" Loki muttered to himself. He had long forgotten where such a low-level item came from.

"It was forged by our boss William! You have a good eye! I've never seen you before?" A young blacksmith apprentice stepped forward and spoke to him.

"Oh, thank you. I haven't been here long," Loki replied.

"Can I see it?" Loki asked, pointing to the dagger.

"That won't do. Master William said you can only look, not touch. Unless you really want to buy it! It's 100 cloud coins!" The young man said with a smug look.

"Oh, look at this, how much is this worth?" Loki said, taking a piece of pure copper out of his backpack.

The "pure copper" is shiny and rose-colored, just like its name, with absolutely no signs of oxidation.

"What a fine piece of bronze!"

A middle-aged blacksmith lifted the curtain of the inner room and came out.

"Hello! My name is William."

"Jack," Loki used a fake name.

William took the pure copper from Loki and examined it with great interest, probably already figuring out what kind of weapon it could be forged into!

"May I exchange my dagger for this piece of pure copper?"

"Master! You..." The young apprentice was about to say something when William stopped him.

The young man was still quite young; he didn't know that the pure copper his master held was ten thousand times purer than ordinary copper! Moreover, it had "magic crystal protection," ensuring it would never oxidize. If all went well, it could be used to forge level 10 or higher "blue accessories," or level 3 or lower "purple weapons." Because of its relatively small size, making a dozen or so "Soul-Chasing Blades" was entirely possible. The prerequisite was that it had to be forged by a blacksmith of intermediate level or higher. If the apprentice were to attempt it, due to insufficient experience, it was entirely possible he would ruin it.

"50 cloud coins? I'm short on cash right now and don't need your weapon!" Loki offered.

"!!" For William, this was incredibly cheap! And he didn't even have to trade it for his painstakingly crafted "Dorchrome Blade," it was such a bargain!

William readily ran to the counter, unlocked it, took out 80 cloud coins, and respectfully handed them to Loki.

Loki took the money bag, counted it, and returned the extra 30 coins. For him, although he could be greedy at times, he had to keep his word. He didn't want to be misunderstood.
