Transform into a human

In the university town, at the Federal National University Police Branch, Yue Lai and Li walked into an old-fashioned apartment building.

Suddenly, a memory popped into Yue Lai's mind, and he said timidly, "During the Expansion War, each star system had a history that was hidden. There must be a reason for that. Is it not right for us to do this...?"

"Don't worry, what's there to be afraid of if you just take a look?"

Yue Lai already knew the two guys' destination: that area that resembled an endless corridor!

Li sensed something was wrong and secretly used his blood energy to turn around and ensure that Yue Lai would not be attacked from both sides.

But it has another hand!

The bone claw shot out like lightning, its fingertips already touching Yue Lai's heart. Yue Lai, however, neither dodged nor evaded, but suddenly released the knife that was being held, and instead reached out with his bare hands to grab the other's face, which was covered in sticky mucus.

Everything went as he expected—the monster's claws failed to pierce the fleshy web woven by evil intentions, and his fingers were already stained with the cold, slippery liquid.

Her back slammed heavily against the display case behind her, and she slid to the ground amidst a shattering sound, eventually managing to stay upright on one knee.

A moment later, Yue Lai also came crashing down like a kite with a broken string, slamming into the same display case, staggering and falling down beside Li.

"You've never fought one before?"

"How dare you say that to me?" Li looked at Yue Lai incredulously. How could the villain accuse him first?

"I'm the complete novice! And you're a master, possessing knowledge of five different skills!" She racked her brains for the most vicious words, finally uttering, "A pretty face but useless embroidered pillow!"

Yue Lai said sheepishly, "Theoretically speaking, I'm just a novice..."

The two deep-sea monsters drew ever closer, and Li utterly resigned herself to her fate. Countless filthy mouths converged into one sentence:

"Don't swallow yet, I'll feed you both later!"

After considering it for a while, Xie Xin decided that this deal was worth doing!

Yue Lai suddenly felt a surge of immense power welling up from his heart. What? Sixty percent? Sixteen percent!

Evil Heart was already waiting nearby, and he opened his mouth and swallowed the throbbing thing whole.

Almost simultaneously, the deep-sea monster on the other side flashed behind Yue Lai, its bone claws slashing down with a whoosh. Suddenly, another face appeared behind Yue Lai's head, its cold eyes locking onto the gaps in the scales, and at the same time, it raised another knife upwards—

The monster's own claws severed it at the wrist.

The next second, its heart was pulled out by Yue Lai in almost the same way, and the evil heart swallowed it into its stomach with satisfaction once again.

Before collapsing, the two monsters let out a final, unwilling roar, then their bodies shriveled up and turned into two pools of foul-smelling slime.

Yue Lai finally breathed a sigh of relief:

"We need to get Li's heart back in as soon as possible."
