Lorraine stared at it for a moment, and after confirming that it had indeed lost the ability to move, she went around it from the side.

Darkness returned to the surroundings, with only the holy emblem on Anya's triangular shield still emitting a faint light.

Lorraine subconsciously reached out and patted the shield in her hand, only to find it useless, realizing that the action seemed a bit silly.

That was the sound of metal boots clicking on the path. Someone was walking towards them from the side path outside the iron gate!

"Someone's there!"

Lorraine's heart sank. He quickly pulled out the rusty throat and simultaneously manipulated the system to throw the dice.

They don't have much fighting power left. If the visitors are hostile, their only chance is the rewards the system might draw.

Without having time to check the system's information, he quickly stood up, raised his shield in front of him again, and pointed his sword at the darkness outside the doorway.

The footsteps stopped.
