Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?
Chapter 54 Hogsmeade Village
"Hermione, shall we go here for a cup of tea?"
Kevin pointed to a small teahouse and said, "That's Madame Patif's Teahouse. It's not a big teahouse, but the decorations are very unique, with all sorts of romantic Valentine's Day decorations."
Hermione looked in the direction Kevin was pointing and quickly realized what the teahouse was for. Her face flushed slightly, but she still nodded.
Harry and Ron had already run off to the Magical Joke Shop, where there were all sorts of prank toys, and they were clearly more interested in that.
So Hermione and Kevin happily enjoyed their time alone.
As they entered, a slightly plump lady with her hair in a bun greeted them. She wore a friendly smile and looked at the two people in front of her with gentle eyes.
"Oh, you two little darlings, are you here on a date?" Lady Padif looked at the two holding hands, a teasing smile on her lips.
Upon hearing this, Hermione lowered her head shyly, trying to hide her thoughts: "Uh, we just came to have a cup of tea..." Hermione stammered.
Kevin smiled at the adorable Hermione; it would have been better not to explain at all.
With a friendly smile, Mrs. Parthoff led Kevin and Hermione to an empty table and asked them what kind of refreshments they would like.
Kevin wasn't familiar with the menu, so he randomly ordered two of the restaurant's signature dim sum dishes.
After Madam Patiffe left, Hermione recovered from her shyness and, looking at Kevin's smiling face, playfully kicked him under the table.
"Ouch! Hermione, why do you keep hitting me lately..."
Kevin complained in pain.
"Hmph." Hermione turned her head away haughtily, not intending to answer Kevin.
Kevin shamelessly moved his chair, placing it right next to Hermione.
He took Hermione's left hand with his right, and little Hermione struggled symbolically for a moment before giving up and letting Kevin hold her hand.
They each wore a silver bracelet on one hand, and as they approached, the two gems emitted a soft, almost imperceptible glow.
Hermione's hands are so soft, it feels really nice to squeeze them.
Kevin and Hermione started chatting.
"Hermione, I probably won't be able to go back for Christmas this year."
"Is it because of Sirius?" Hermione seemed to have expected this.
"Yes, and there's also the Dementors. There was an incident where Dementors attacked a train before, and I heard it wasn't just our train that was attacked."
"So the college's intention is probably to have everyone stay on campus this Christmas and spend Christmas there."
These were things that Dumbledore had previously revealed.
"Luckily, Dementors don't attack owls, so I can send messages to my parents, otherwise they'd probably be worried again."
Hermione leaned on Kevin's shoulder naturally and said helplessly.
"Why do things always seem to happen at Hogwarts every year? I don't recall seeing anything like that in the school history," Hermione complained, puzzled.
"Isn't this great? There's a new adventure every year."
"You call dealing with Voldemort an adventure?" Hermione rolled her eyes.
"Who can argue with that?"
Kevin smiled, and soon their tea and snacks arrived, allowing the two of them to enjoy a rare and comfortable tea and snack time.
After that, they held hands and went shopping in other stores.
The two didn't separate until it was time to go back. Kevin then headed towards the village entrance, having arranged to meet Harry there at the appointed time.
The village entrance is actually the train station. On either side of the railway tracks are Hogwarts and Hogsmeade Village, which is why the two places are said to be very close.
"Kevin, could you please stop carrying me on your shoulders..."
On the way, Kevin carried Harry and ran towards Hogwarts, while Harry, enduring the discomfort, complained.
"If I don't carry you on my back, am I supposed to give you a princess carry?"
Kevin said as he ran, not panting.
Harry didn't actually mind, but he was worried Hermione might...
"Never mind..."
Kevin soon brought Harry back to Hogwarts.
"By the way, how was your day? Maybe you can go by yourself next time. Hermione and I were thinking that we could go to the library to read books next time."
Hogsmeade Village is quite small, and there are only about a dozen shops that are popular, but they are either restaurants where you can eat, drink tea or alcohol, or shops that sell strange and unusual things.
It felt like the commercial area of Hogwarts, providing a place for wizards who had been studying for quite some time to have some entertainment.
"I think it's quite interesting." Harry didn't understand why Kevin's requirements were so high.
"Okay, whatever you like."
Kevin shrugged, and the two chatted idly in the back garden. Harry mainly talked about what he and Ron had done that day, and how they had bought some candy to share with Kevin.
"Yue!"
Kevin ate the candy Harry gave him, then spat it out – it tasted awful!
"Harry, you tricked me!"
"Haha, serves you right for making me eat so many dog poop-flavored candies last time."
Harry laughed loudly from the side.
Alright, alright, you're getting more and more cunning!
Kevin snatched the candy from Harry and shoved it into his mouth. Harry struggled in terror, but he didn't give up easily. He pulled out another handful of dog poop-flavored candy from who-knows-where and stuffed it into Kevin's mouth while Kevin was laughing.
The two of them kept feeding each other dog poop candy.
......
"Yue!!"
"Yue!!"
When Professor McGonagall returned with a group of young wizards, she looked at the two people vomiting by the door with a speechless expression.
She rolled her eyes. Although she didn't know what had happened, she didn't really want to admit that these two were her students anymore.
"You two, clean this up properly before you leave!"
Professor McGonagall left after saying that.
Hermione didn't dare to help Kevin up; it would be too embarrassing.
"Hahaha, you two ate dog poop, hahaha."
Ron and Draco approached, laughing. Although they didn't know what had happened, they figured it was good to laugh at them.
Then Kevin pinched their mouths shut, and Harry, in perfect unison, stuffed the dog poop-flavored candy into their mouths.
"Yue!"
"Yue!"
Ron and Draco also lay down and vomited.
Hermione couldn't stand it anymore; these boys were so boring. She hurriedly left.
"You two need to clean up properly before you leave!"
Kevin read Professor McGonagall's words and then ran off in a flash, with Harry following closely behind, leaving Ron and Draco staring at each other in pain, realizing they had been careless.
Kevin and Harry, as if their prank had succeeded, laughed together and ran towards the lounge.
However, the two hadn't been laughing for long when they saw a group of people outside their lounge.
The portrait door leading to the lounge had several jagged rips torn in the canvas.
The plump lady in the painting is also gone.
"What happened?" Harry realized something was wrong and quickly came over to ask.
Ginny happened to be there too, and answered Harry, "The portrait of the Fat Lady was torn to shreds by something, and the Fat Lady is gone."
Kevin looked around; he remembered that the fat lady had hidden in one of the paintings nearby.
"The fat lady is over there," Kevin suddenly pointed to the portrait in another direction.
A group of curious young wizards immediately gathered at that spot.
The painting depicts a large hippopotamus, with the plump lady hiding behind it, peeking out in alarm.
"Madam, what happened?"
Harry asked the fat lady.
Just then, Dumbledore arrived with Filch and saw the students gathered there.
"Sirius Black, he's come to the castle! He's trying to break into Gryffindor's common room!"
The fat lady shouted loudly, her voice trembling with tears and her expression filled with terror.
Harry immediately clenched his fists and looked at Kevin.
Kevin shook his head at Harry, signaling him not to rush.
"Filch, inform the professors to declare martial law at the castle. All students, assemble in the assembly hall!"
Dumbledore frowned, realizing the seriousness of the problem, and quickly issued orders.
At this moment, he couldn't be sure whether Sirius was friend or foe.
The experience of being imprisoned in Azkaban for twelve years could very well have driven him to insanity and made him irritable and prone to outbursts of anger.
As headmaster, Dumbledore had to consider the students' safety, which is why he chose to provide centralized protection.
On the way to the synagogue, Harry grabbed Kevin: "Kevin, we have to find him and find out what happened back then!"
"Harry, I don't think you'll find it if you go looking for it now."
Kevin shook his head and continued, "Sirius tried to sneak into Gryffindor's common room when most people were at Hogsmeade and there were fewer people around, but he failed."
"This also caused him to be exposed, so he definitely didn't dare to stay at Hogwarts, because it would be easy for Dumbledore and the professors to find him there. I guess he probably escaped from Hogwarts after he couldn't get into the common room, and most likely hid in the Forbidden Forest, or somewhere nearby where no one is around, waiting for the next opportunity."
"Harry, Kevin is right. There's no use in getting anxious now," Ron said, trying to calm Harry down.
"..." Harry fell silent. He understood what Kevin was saying, but the thought that the only person who knew the truth back then was nearby made him unable to calm down.
"Don't worry, Harry, now that he's here, he definitely won't leave easily," Kevin patted Harry on the shoulder to comfort him.
"Let's go to the assembly hall now, and we can discuss this after the martial law is lifted."
Harry nodded, understanding that the current situation did not allow them to make any plans.
Afterwards, everyone went to the auditorium to gather. They guessed that Sirius wasn't there, which was one thing, and how the principal would arrange things was another. They still had to obediently go to the auditorium to accept unified management.
These things aren't up to them to decide.
