Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?
Chapter 37 Liberating the Little Elf Dobby
"Harry, Kevin, Hermione, Ron, the opening of the Chamber of Secrets led to the attack on several students. Your ability to resolve this crisis so quickly is invaluable. You four deserve a special contribution award from Hogwarts."
The next day, the four little ones gathered in Dumbledore's office.
They all spent last night in the infirmary, and they have all recovered today.
They weren't seriously injured; Kevin fought the hardest but was the least hurt.
The three boys all bled to varying degrees, but they are much stronger now than they were last year.
"Especially you, Kevin, remained calm in the face of danger, bravely stood in front of your companions, and gave them the greatest trust and support. Professor Snape was right about you."
The three kids also agreed with Dumbledore's words. Throughout their journey, Kevin had always stood up for them, especially Harry, who was the one who spoke up for him when he was most helpless.
"Thanks to the headmaster for saving my life, otherwise I would not have been a match for Tom." Kevin shook his head. He really had no way to deal with the two Killing Curses yesterday. He relied on speed once and Dumbledore's help once.
Once this turmoil is over, he will have time to properly learn from Snape.
His magical talent doubled, his intelligence increased by 5, and his magic power nearly doubled. He believed that his studies would go very smoothly from now on.
"Don't underestimate yourself, child. You are still young and have a bright future ahead of you."
Just then, the door to Dumbledore's office was pushed open, and there stood Lucius, followed by an elf named Dobby.
"Dobby? Your master is Lucius, and you serve the Malfoys?" Harry asked in surprise when he saw Dobby.
Lucius glared at Dobby at his feet: "I'll settle this with you when we get back!"
Then he stepped forward and faced Dumbledore directly.
"Oh Lucius, what brings you to the college so early in the morning?" Dumbledore asked.
"I heard our great hero solved this crisis in the Chamber of Secrets, so I came to see him." He stared intently at Kevin, then glared at Harry.
"I also heard that the locked room was opened by a student named Ginny, and that she was also responsible for the attack."
"No! Ginny is innocent! Voldemort has her under his control!" Ron immediately retorted.
"It was this diary that put Ginny under Voldemort's control. I think you should recognize it," Harry said, stepping forward to speak for Ginny and taking out the Horcrux notebook belonging to Voldemort.
He had discovered earlier that there was an extra book in Ginny's cauldron after Lucius got close to her, but too much had happened by then for him to be sure.
It wasn't until he saw the book again that he was certain that Lucius had put it in Ginny's crucible.
"Mr. Potter, I don't think I know the book you're talking about." Lucius, of course, wouldn't admit it, and gave a cold laugh.
At this point, Dumbledore said in an unfriendly tone, "Lucius, I heard that you threatened the board of trustees to unanimously agree to suspend me, or you would curse their entire families if they disagreed?"
Dumbledore exuded an aura of oppression as he stared at Lucius.
"Ha, so what, Dumbledore? I only ever care about one thing: the interests of the school, and of course, the safety of the students. If you can resolve this matter, that would be wonderful; if not, don't blame me for having the board of trustees suspend you."
Lucius seemed a little unsure of himself, but he put on a righteous air and said as if everything he did was for the good of the school.
"Voldemort used the school children through this diary, but fortunately, the children discovered his plot in time and stopped him."
"I hope that from now on, no one will ever again put Voldemort's old stuff into the hands of innocent people. Doing such a thing must come at a price, a very serious price."
Dumbledore stared directly at Lucius, as if warning him, intimidating him.
"Really? I look forward to seeing your students save their friends time and time again."
"Farewell!" With that, Lucius tossed his head and turned to leave.
He even cursed at Dobby and kicked him down the steps.
Harry looked at Dobby with a pang of pity, and immediately asked Dumbledore for the diary, took off one of his socks, and tucked it inside.
Then he caught up with Lucius, shoved the diary into Lucius's hand, and said, "Mr. Malfoy, this needs to be returned to you."
"Give it back? I don't know what you're talking about, Mr. Potter." Lucius looked at the notebook with a hole in it and sneered.
“I think you know very well that it was you who put this book in Ginny’s cauldron,” Harry said, looking directly at Lucius.
"Ha, really? Then why don't you try to prove it?" Lucius said sarcastically to Harry, who had no evidence to prove that he had put the notebook there.
After Lucius finished speaking, he casually tossed the notebook to Dobby, asking him to hold it for him, and then turned and left.
However, Harry quickly gestured to Dobby to open the book and take a look.
Although Dobby was puzzled, he did as he was told, flipped through the notebook, and took out a sock from it.
"The master gave Dobby a sock?...Dobby is free?...Dobby is free!"
Dobby stared in disbelief at the socks in his hand, his tone shifting from uncertainty to excited shouts.
Lucius, who was walking ahead, turned around impatiently and saw Dobby take a sock out of his notebook.
He instantly realized that Harry had tricked him!
Harry had tucked a sock into the notebook beforehand, and then handed it to Dobby through his hand.
Then, naturally, Dobby took a sock out of the book, and his slave mark was removed.
These are all pieces of knowledge that Hermione shared with everyone after they met Dobby.
House-elves are born to serve a master for generations. Only when they receive a piece of clothing or even a pair of socks from their master can they be freed from the mark of slavery and regain their freedom.
Harry used this to get Dobby a sock from Lucius, which allowed him to remove the slave mark.
"You made me lose my servant!"
Realizing he had been tricked, Lucius became furious and drew his wand to attack, but Dobby raised his hand first and sent Lucius flying.
Dobby stood in front of Harry, his voice firm, and said, "You are not allowed to hurt Harry Potter!"
Seeing Dobby dare to lay a hand on him, and Harry's smug smile, Lucius gritted his teeth in anger.
But in the end, all he could do was leave behind a meaningless "We'll see," and then stagger away.
Dobby thanked Harry Potter with great gratitude, and Harry officially accepted Dobby, but he hoped that Dobby would not come to save him again, because the more he was saved, the more likely he was to die.
The other three children also came downstairs and saw the whole thing. Hermione pushed Kevin, seemingly telling him to go up and make up with Dobby for bullying him so much.
Kevin had no choice but to come up and pat Dobby on the shoulder: "Well done, I'm impressed with you."
Dobby happily twitched his ears.
......
After everything was over, Hogwarts held a dinner party.
"This time, the academy went through a difficult period, but thanks to our four brave Gryffindor children, they solved the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets, and the petrified students were able to recover immediately thanks to the healing potion provided by Kevin."
"Therefore, I want to thank these four children and award them the Hogwarts Special Contribution Award, and each of them will receive 50 points!"
Gryffindor erupted in enthusiastic applause. The little lions were very excited; barring any unforeseen circumstances, this year's House Cup would once again belong to Gryffindor.
"Their honors will be permanently displayed in the Hall of Honor at Hogwarts."
"Now, the banquet begins!"
Kevin and Ron acted like they were starving ghosts, showing off their skills immediately.
Hermione quietly fed Kevin while he sat down beside her.
Thanks to Kevin's speedrun, they've already resolved the major issues at Hogwarts before Christmas is even over—much faster than in the movies—so they can go back to their sweet little home for Christmas.
Just thinking about Hermione makes me happy.
Kevin ate his rice while looking at his system panel, deep in thought.

The reward for completing the escape room this time was extremely generous, and it felt like the system was encouraging him to change the plot.
He received an extra reward because he completed the escape room well ahead of schedule.
Kevin also realized this time that he seemed to be too actively involved in the plot. Last year, he was thinking of letting the three kids go through the challenges on their own while he would cover for them. Perhaps he subconsciously felt that Harry, as the protagonist, needed to grow up.
However, Harry's ordeal this year was clearly too much, causing him to be condemned by everyone, and Kevin couldn't help but stand up for Harry.
We aim to resolve the locked room issue as quickly as possible.
Surprisingly, I received an additional reward by some unexpected means.
Kevin couldn't help but feel that the system wanted him to become stronger, not Harry.
He also realized that he had hardly gone to Snape for practice this school year.
Now that I've completed this academic year's tasks ahead of schedule, it's time to calm down and become stronger.
Next year will be alright, just a bunch of Dementors. And when we see Little Pettigrew, we'll cripple his limbs so he can't run away. We need to prepare a truth serum and wolfsbane potion in advance.
The key point is that Voldemort will be resurrected the year after next, and he doesn't know if he can participate in the Triwizard Tournament, so he's quite worried.
There is still a long way to go and a heavy responsibility.
"What are you thinking about, so engrossed?"
Hermione's sudden words brought Kevin back to his senses.
"It's nothing, I was just thinking, should we spend Christmas just the two of us, so that my aunt and uncle can also enjoy some time alone?"
Kevin winked at Hermione.
Hermione blushed slightly. If that were the case, wouldn't the two of them also have their own private world?
Kevin is a wicked man; he's always up to no good.
However, I like it.
"sure."
Hermione immediately agreed.
The two secretly began discussing how to spend Christmas.
