Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 36 Entering the Secret Chamber, Solving Tom and the Basilisk

Kevin looked at Dumbledore beside him, and he really didn't know how he could lose.

Dumbledore alone could destroy the Basilisk and Tom's memory.

In his past life, Kevin wondered why Harry didn't tell Dumbledore about these things when watching the movie. Perhaps that way, the whole thing could have ended sooner.

They didn't find the Chamber of Secrets until Dumbledore was suspended, and then they went down there and were chased all over the place by the Basilisk.

Tom's memory was also careless; he didn't expect Harry to suddenly attack the Horcrux itself, causing him to be defeated before he could even make a move.

But now, they don't need to worry about these issues.

"Professor Dumbledore, why don't we go down there and you follow us with the Disillusionment Charm? If the mastermind sees you, they might not dare to show themselves," Kevin suggested.

"A very clever idea, Kevin."

Dumbledore smiled, and the next second his figure disappeared. Then an invisible force lifted the four little ones and jumped into the secret passage.

They soon reached the bottom of the passage. Although they couldn't see Dumbledore, Kevin knew he was right beside him.

Kevin nodded to Harry and the others, then led the way.

There was even some light underground. They walked for a while and, apart from finding a huge snake skin, nothing else happened. Then, a round iron gate appeared before them.

It was printed with several snakes, clearly indicating that it was a door that only a Parseltongue could open.

Harry went up again and opened the door using Parseltongue.

Soon the group arrived at the deepest part, a sewer, but here two rows of enormous snake heads had been built, facing the direction of the passage.

The group looked down the road and saw a little girl standing at the end; she looked very familiar to them.

"Ginny?!"

Ron shouted in disbelief.

Another Parseltongue is Ginny? Hermione couldn't believe it either.

"No, look at her expression, something's wrong, it's like she's being controlled."

Kevin reminded the others, and when they looked, Ginny's expression was blank, her eyes lifeless, staring at them like a cold-blooded snake.

"Ginny! What's wrong! It's your brother Ron!" Ron shouted quickly, trying to wake Ginny up.

"It's no use, she won't wake up, I've already taken her under my control."

At that moment, a tall figure emerged from the darkness; it was Tom Riddle.

"Which of you is Harry Potter?"

"And who are you! What did you do to Ginny!" Harry shouted back.

Because of Kevin's fast-forwarded plot, Harry never got his hands on Tom Riddle's notebook, so he hasn't met Tom yet.

"I'm Tom Riddle. I was just about to look for you, Harry. I didn't expect you to find your way here by yourself. That's amazing."

It has to be said that Voldemort was indeed handsome when he was young. I don't know how he could have thought of turning into that kind of person.

"How is that possible? You're not from fifty years ago... and you're not Voldemort..." Harry was so shocked that he was speechless.

Meanwhile, Dumbledore, who was hiding in the shadows, was also somewhat surprised when he saw Tom. Then, he considered a certain possibility and stared intently at the diary placed at Ginny's feet, which exuded an ominous aura.

Unaware that Dumbledore's Tom Memory was still leisurely explaining Harry's question.

"I am a memory of myself when I was 16, stored in my diary."

"So you know me? That makes things easier, Harry. Do me a favor; I need to kill you all here."

Tom calmly uttered terrifying words.

"You're quite polite!"

With a loud shout from Kevin, he pulled out his wand and made the first move!

Same old routine! Start with Divine Sharpness Without a Trace!

However, the next moment, Tom also pulled out a wand, which was Ginny's wand.

An iron armor spell was erected, blocking Kevin's attack.

With Dumbledore backing him up, Kevin remained calm, gave himself two buffs, and then charged towards Tom.

Seeing Kevin make his move, Harry and the others no longer hesitated and pulled out their wands.

"Torn apart!"

He collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious!

"Disarm you!"

The group then cast spells on Tom one after another.

However, without exception, Tom blocked them all. With a wave of his wand, Tom sent them flying, injuring them to varying degrees.

Kevin then rushed to Tom's side, and the Holy Sword of Physics reappeared, smashing the crowbar directly at Tom.

Tom clearly hadn't expected Kevin to be so strong, so he wasn't flustered at all and even wanted to leisurely cast a spell on Kevin.

As a result, the Ironclad Curse shattered under Kevin's terrifying power, and Tom, who was about to cast a spell, was also knocked away by the stick and crashed into the stone wall.

Harry and his friends were overjoyed, thinking they had won.

However, Kevin knew that Tom's true form was that diary.

He rushed straight at Ginny, trying to take the diary from her arms.

But the next moment, a chilling green light shot towards Kevin.

Avada Kedavra!

Kevin felt a chill run down his spine. Without hesitation, he threw the crowbar in his hand at the green light, successfully blocking the Killing Curse for a moment.

Taking advantage of this moment, he scooped up Ginny's body and disappeared in a flash, leaving the notebook behind.

"I didn't expect you to escape the killing curse. What's your name?"

Tom Riddle emerged unharmed from a cloud of dust and praised Kevin.

Kevin broke out in a cold sweat. He had just felt the threat of death. Holy crap, is Dumbledore even capable?

He and Ginny darted back to Harry and the others in a few quick movements and put Ginny down.

The reason he dared not bring the notebook was because Tom's true form was inside. If Tom teleported to his side with the notebook and cast a Killing Curse right in his face, he really wouldn't know what to do.

Kevin pulled out another crowbar; he had plenty of these.

"My name is Kevin. Last year, I gave the current Voldemort a good few whacks."

Even though he lost the argument, Kevin took the opportunity to mention his own achievements from last year to mock Tom.

"Hehe, interesting."

Tom smiled, then turned and walked towards the giant face sculpture behind him, extending one hand and speaking in Parseltongue.

He has his back turned!

The divine blade is invisible!

As Tom turned away to summon the basilisk, Kevin cast another spell, sending Tom flying and interrupting his summoning.

"You despicable mud-blood! Has no one ever told you that sneak attacks are shameful?!"

For the first time since he appeared, Tom lost his composure, yelling and cursing at Kevin.

Tch, now's the time to risk everything, who cares about whether the methods are honorable or not.

This time, Tom turned to the side, speaking Parseltongue with one hand towards the face sculpture, and raising his wand in the other towards Harry and the others.

Kevin cast the spell again, the Explosion Spell, and a huge explosion resounded.

However, once the smoke cleared, Tom was unharmed and continued speaking in Parseltongue.

However, Kevin's figure quickly approached again, but he got close to the huge face sculpture.

Soon, the giant faced sculpture opened a stone door from its gaping maw, and a ferocious serpent monster emerged from it.

"Close your eyes!"

Before the basilisk could fully emerge, Kevin raised his hand and fired a Final Flash!

The sudden burst of bright light dazzled the basilisk.

Before the basilisk could recover...

Kevin's crowbar slammed down with tremendous force onto the basilisk's head.

Fortunately, these crowbars have been coated with a hardening spell, making them extremely durable.

The basilisk roared in pain, its body convulsing violently and causing a huge tremor in the vicinity.

"It's not over yet!"

Kevin jumped directly onto the basilisk's head, took out crowbars with both hands, and frantically smashed the basilisk's huge head like a storm.

Hermione was the first to react, waving her wand and unleashing a scatter attack on Tom, who was watching from the sidelines.

However, Tom didn't even look at it and casually flicked the spell away. With an explosive spell, he blasted the group away. He was keeping an eye on the basilisk and Kevin.

The basilisk thrashed about, trying to throw Kevin off, but Kevin's feet seemed glued to its head, standing firmly on it.

Because Kevin and the basilisk were too close, Tom below couldn't act rashly for fear of accidentally injuring the basilisk.

On the other side, after Harry and the others were blown away, they staggered to their feet. They looked at Kevin's location, not knowing how to help him, and could only turn their attention to Tom beside them.

With Dumbledore backing them up, they remained calm and split up to attack Tom together, buying Kevin time.

Tom, however, remained elegant, unleashing a series of explosive spells that sent several people flying without killing them; he wanted the basilisk to devour them. He raised his hand and began chanting Parseltongue again, attempting to control the basilisk to crash into the wall and knock Kevin down.

However, things didn't go as planned; Kevin's output far exceeded Tom's expectations.

Kevin finally managed to crack a hole in the basilisk's skull. He dropped one crowbar, grabbed another with both hands, and rammed it into the opening in the skull, piercing right through the basilisk's brain.

Roar! !

The basilisk let out a final, mournful cry, and with its last ounce of strength, it slammed Kevin into a nearby statue.

boom!!

A statue was smashed.

However, Kevin jumped up in time to dodge the fatal blow.

However, just as the three children were excited that Kevin had actually defeated the terrifying basilisk monster single-handedly, Tom took advantage of Kevin jumping in the air without any foothold and suddenly unleashed a killing curse.

Kevin reacted quickly, throwing the crowbar again to momentarily block the Killing Curse.

But the Killing Curse still hurtled towards Kevin.

In a moment of desperation, Dumbledore intervened!

A red spell shot towards the Killing Curse, knocking it away and deviating from Kevin's direction.

"Dumbledore! You're here too!" Tom was clearly very surprised.

"Professor! Cover me!"

Kevin had no intention of waiting for them to catch up. After landing, he pulled out a crowbar again and leaped toward the basilisk's corpse.

Although Dumbledore didn't know what Kevin was planning to do, he still unleashed a terrifying spell that sent Tom flying.

Then, the next moment, another curse continued to bombard Tom.

One after another, Tom was powerless to resist and was sent flying through the air like a shuttlecock.

Dumbledore, terrifying indeed!

The three little ones were dumbfounded. Was this the strongest basic attack in the world?

Kevin approached the basilisk's corpse and smashed down a huge venomous fang with his club.

He grabbed the fang, turned and charged at the laptop lying on the ground. With a sliding tackle, the huge fang pierced straight through the laptop.

Without hesitation!

A horrifying scene unfolded: the laptop began to bleed warm blood, just like a person.

Tom was only knocked away by Dumbledore's attacks and was not injured, but now it suddenly felt as if a golden light had pierced through his chest, and he let out a painful roar.

He stared intently at Kevin before he died, and then vanished with a bang.

Tom's memory is dead, and his Horcrux is broken.

The next moment, Ginny's pupils regained their light, she broke free from Tom's control, and gasped for breath.

"Ginny! Are you alright?" Ron, who was standing nearby, quickly helped Ginny up.

"I'm sorry, Headmaster, it was all my doing... I swear, I didn't mean to..." Ginny, though under control, still remembered everything she had done and said weakly to Dumbledore.

"I know, child. Don't worry, the villains have been eliminated," Dumbledore said, crouching down to stroke Ginny's head.

"Kevin!"

Hermione ran towards Kevin, who was now lying on the floor.

"Same as always, just exhausted."

Kevin gave Hermione a weak smile.

Hermione immediately took out the recovery potion Kevin had given her earlier and fed it to Kevin.

He felt much better after drinking it.

"It's alright, it's all over." Kevin touched Hermione's injured face.

She was also badly injured this time, covered in dust and blood, so Kevin quickly gave her a potion to drink.

Hermione was in much better shape than Kevin, and she helped him up as they walked towards Harry and the others. Kevin was carrying the diary, and he had put away the fang.

Dumbledore checked Harry and Ron's injuries as well, and after confirming that everyone was alright, he lifted them up again and flew out of the Chamber of Secrets back to Hogwarts.

Thus, the locked-room mystery came to an end.
