Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?
Chapter 29 The Lucius Scandal
"Mr. Potter..."
"I am Lucius Malfoy, and we finally meet."
Lucius smiled and extended a hand to Harry.
Harry clearly sensed that the man seemed to have ill intentions, but he still extended his hand to shake hands with Lucius.
After they clasped hands, Lucius suddenly and rudely pulled Harry in front of him, used his cane to brush aside Harry's bangs, revealing the lightning bolt scar, and was about to say something.
The next moment, Kevin appeared between the two, shoving Lucius several meters away. He grabbed Lucius's cane and crushed it.
"Mr. Lucius, it seems your aristocratic manners need improvement; you're not even as good as your son."
Kevin loosened his grip on the broken cane and stepped aside to shield Harry. Harry looked at Kevin, who had stood up for him, and was deeply moved.
As the cane broke, two broken pieces and a handful of debris were thrown to the ground, revealing a magic wand inside the cane.
Lucius was also startled by Kevin's sudden appearance; he never expected anyone to dare to attack him!
"Oh, who are you?"
Lucius forced himself to remain calm and not let his aristocratic image crumble, tilting his head and looking at Kevin with a sinister glint in his eyes.
Soon, people around noticed the commotion, and the Weasleys quickly gathered around to support their children.
"Malfoy, what do you intend to do to my children?" Mr. Weasley demanded of Lucius.
"Isn't this old Weasley? Ha, it seems the only people you can hang out with are Muggle-born, right?" Lucius sneered, his last words directed at Kevin.
However, Kevin didn't take Lucius's provocations seriously at all, as he always believed in the supremacy of strength.
Harry didn't understand Lucius's meaning, so Hermione immediately retorted, "Shut your stinking mouth!"
"Oh, you must be Miss Granger. I heard your parents are Muggles too."
Because Kevin brought Hermione along this time, the Grangers didn't come to the bookstore together, but Lucius still knew that.
"Malfoy, don't go too far!" Mr. Weasley was clearly angry, striding out and glaring at Lucius.
"Oh, old Weasley, don't be angry. You must be very busy at the Ministry of Magic lately. Getting angry will only harm your health."
Lucius reverted to his aristocratic arrogance, casually strolling past Mr. Weasley to stand in front of Kevin, looking at him with a cold smile, without saying a word.
Then he took another step and stood in front of Harry: "Harry Potter, the scar on your head is a legend."
"You mean Voldemort? He's just a murderer, nothing special." Harry met Lucius's gloomy eyes without the slightest fear.
"You actually dared to call him by his given name. You're either incredibly bold... or incredibly stupid."
"Not even daring to say the other person's name only proves your cowardice," Hermione retorted, displaying her sharp tongue as she mocked Lucius.
"Ha, Miss Granger, if that mysterious man is still alive, someone like you, a Muggle, would be in the most danger. I advise you to watch your words."
Lucius looked at Hermione and threatened her in a dark tone.
The next moment, Kevin's fist suddenly came down!
Who cares about plot developments!
Lucius hadn't expected Kevin to dare to make a move, but he was clearly prepared.
The silent, staffless Ironclad Spell lit up.
But he greatly underestimated Kevin.
With a cracking sound, Kevin's fist shattered Lucius's armor spell, and the punch, undiminished in momentum, struck Lucius's face, instantly sending him flying! He spun several times in the air before landing.
This once again drew gasps from the crowd.
Hermione hadn't expected Kevin to act so decisively, and her small eyes sparkled as she looked at Kevin beside her.
"Father!" Draco panicked. He hadn't dared to speak since the beginning, torn between his classmate and his father. He couldn't help either of them. Now that his father had been knocked away, he rushed over to help him up.
"Pfft!" Lucius spat out a mouthful of blood, along with two teeth.
Kevin clearly held back, otherwise that punch could have cracked Lucius's head open.
He finally lost his aristocratic composure, staring at Kevin with a mixture of shock and anger, his eyes seeming to want to skin Kevin alive.
"What's his name..." Lucius stood up with Draco's help. Surprisingly, he didn't shout or yell, but stared intently at Kevin, his mouth full of blood, yet he still wore a terrifying smile.
Draco was speechless for a moment. He also felt that his father was in the wrong this time, but he did not dare to disobey his father, nor did he want to betray Kevin.
His expression was full of struggle.
"Kevin, my name is Kevin."
Kevin could see Draco's predicament, but he didn't blame Draco; he truly couldn't defy his father right now.
"I welcome you to come back and get your revenge anytime, Lucius." Kevin patted Lucius's chest, completely unfazed by Lucius's crazed and terrifying gaze, and said mockingly.
It felt like time had rewound to the start of the school year last year, when Kevin patted Draco's chest dismissively and said the same thing.
Draco felt that Kevin was both directing him and helping him.
Kevin wanted Draco to continue siding with his family to avoid putting him in a difficult position.
However, let's wait until Hogwarts to discuss these matters privately.
"Alright! Kevin, alright! I'll remember you! Hehehe! Let's go!"
Lucius grinned at Kevin, then roared and left with Draco's help.
Draco glanced back at Kevin, who gestured with his chin to him, indicating that he should go back first.
Only then did this turmoil come to an end.
Hermione, Harry, and the Weasleys immediately surrounded Kevin.
His performance today was so satisfying.
However, the Weasleys were still a little worried. Kevin was an orphan with no one to rely on, and he might be targeted by retaliation.
"Kevin, you were so cool just now!" Ron excitedly grabbed Kevin's shoulders and shook him.
Very familiar line.
"Kevin, thank you." Harry said to Kevin. He had just been dragged away by Lucius. Although it wasn't a big deal, it was still a humiliating experience. Harry didn't know whether he should fight back, but Kevin came to his rescue.
Hermione and Kevin's relationship goes without saying; she simply sticks close to Kevin, and everything is understood without saying a word.
The twin brothers, not wanting to miss out on trouble, shouted that Kevin had defeated Lucius and won the girl's heart.
Then came Mrs. Weasley's loving iron fist.
The atmosphere finally relaxed, and everyone started laughing.
Kevin glanced at Ginny's crucible without realizing it.
Behind the brown notebook she was hiding a black notebook.
???
When did that old sly fellow put it in?
Kevin was stunned. Could it be that when he and Harry were threatening Hermione, Ginny happened to be next to Hermione, and Lucius's body blocked Ginny's view, making her a blind spot?
Was it put in at that time?
It seems the world's correction is quite powerful, or perhaps Lucius is more powerful?
In the end, Kevin didn't care anymore. This notebook would bring disaster to Hogwarts, but with Harry around, how could disaster not occur?
If he solves this notebook problem, who knows what new dangers or unexpected dangers might arise?
Afterwards, they returned to their humble abode. Tomorrow was the first day of school, and they planned to have one last good meal.
Kevin also took the opportunity to give away the six extra copies of Snape's Selected Textbooks he had bought to everyone, but he didn't take out Hermione's copy for the time being.
Snape's selected teaching materials are suitable for all grades.
None of them expected that Kevin had bought a separate textbook. Percy knew this, of course, but he didn't say anything and accepted it without any hesitation.
Kevin explained the reason to everyone, saying that he had asked Professor Snape to specially select useful teaching materials.
Because Mrs. Weasley was a huge Lockhart fan, he couldn't very well say anything bad about Lockhart's storybooks.
He simply said that this was a token of his and Hermione's gratitude for the Weasleys' care during this time.
Kevin had a firm grasp on interpersonal relationships and social interactions, and he even took Hermione's favors into account.
Harry gave Ginny an owl, thus repaying his favor.
Both adults were impressed by Kevin and Hermione's maturity, and their affection for them increased by 1+1+1....
Hermione was confused, but she didn't show it. She knew Kevin was up to his old tricks again, so she smiled in agreement, as if Kevin was right.
Kevin is always like this; he wants to keep things very clear and doesn't want to owe favors. Even the favors the Grangers did for him, he still tries to repay.
Hermione also said that Kevin didn't need to act like that, as it created a sense of distance, but Kevin just couldn't change it.
However, he wouldn't act like that with the three little ones, and he would be completely indistinguishable from Hermione.
A group of people were happily eating dinner.
Soon, the next day arrived, marking the start of the new school term.
