Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 26 Dobby the Little Elf

"Is everything ready?"

"Be careful outside, Kevin, and you need to keep an eye on Hermione, okay?"

"Do you have enough money on you?"

Just before we were about to leave for Ronna.

They had informed the Grangers of their plans beforehand: they would spend a week at Ron's house, then go straight to school and not come back home.

So this is also a farewell and a word of advice.

"Don't worry, Mom. I've packed everything and have enough money. There's nothing to worry about."

"Auntie, I will take good care of Hermione."

Upon seeing Ron arrive, the two said their final goodbyes to the Grangers, then got into a taxi with Ron and headed to Harry's house.

The two carried only their owl cage in their hands; the rest of their luggage was placed in their stretch-charm backpacks.

"This bag is so convenient; I can fit all kinds of luggage in it."

Ron looked on with envy at the two who were traveling light.

"Anyway, when you come with us, you'll leave all your luggage with me."

Ron thought about it and realized that Kevin had helped him with his luggage when he came back from vacation at the end of the school year, so he could just take it out when he arrived at the station.

Before long, they arrived at Harry's house.

Now Harry's window has been fitted with burglar bars.

It seems Dobby has shown up these past two days and caused Harry a huge mess, leading to an increase in Harry's imprisonment level.

"How could they do this!"

Ron and Hermione were clearly furious that their best friend had been treated so unfairly.

Kevin, as always, tossed a small stone onto it.

However, the expected collision did not occur; the window seemed to be blocked by some invisible film.

"What is that? Did they hire wizards to imprison Harry?" Ron stared in disbelief at the magical shield that had just appeared.

"Obviously not."

Kevin guessed that it must be the work of the little elf Dobby.

He had learned about elves in the Hogwarts library before; they were born with magical abilities.

"Harry! Can you hear me!" Kevin shouted directly to try.

no response.

Kevin wanted to try jumping directly to the second floor.

It was actually blocked by the magic shield.

Kevin tried shining a flashlight on the second floor.

no response.

"It seems this magic shield is designed for isolation between the inside and outside; messages from the outside cannot get inside."

"What should we do then? Who wants to lock Harry up?" Ron asked anxiously.

"Why don't we just write a letter to Professor Dumbledore?" Hermione suggested. Harry is the savior, and Dumbledore won't stand idly by.

"Professor Dumbledore won't help. If he can't even break through this level of resistance, it proves that Harry is just that kind of person, and it also proves that his companions are just that kind of person."

Kevin shook his head, thinking this method wouldn't work.

The group stood outside, pondering how to break the deadlock.

"Hey, whoever set up the magic shield, I know you're here. Come out and let's talk!"

Kevin suddenly shouted something, and Hermione and Ron looked at Kevin, thinking that he must have thought of some idea.

After calling out, there was no response.

"I know you can hear me! Come out right now! Don't force me to resort to extreme measures!"

Kevin quietly walked to the mailbox outside Harry's house.

He used his physical strength to knead the iron mailbox into an iron ball with his hands.

! !

Dobby, lurking in the shadows, shuddered. How could this wizard be so strong?!

The magic shield he set up is strong against magic but weak against physical attacks.

Hermione and Ron were also embarrassed.

After a while, just as Kevin was about to lose patience and was about to try to break the magic shield with the iron ball in his hand, a small elf appeared.

"House-elves!?"

Unlike the two men who were surprised, Kevin quietly looked at Dobby.

"Greetings, Your Excellency Wizard, and to both of you gentlemen, greetings, greetings..."

Dobby walked shakily to the group and greeted them in a fearful tone.

"Was it you who put up the magic shield?"

Kevin wasn't going to waste time with small talk and got straight to the point.

"Yes, Wizard." Dobby didn't dare look at Kevin, whose eyes, like his master's, were full of intimidation.

Why?

"Because, because of Harry Potter, he absolutely, absolutely cannot go back to Hogwarts. Dobby wants to protect Harry Potter."

"Go on."

"There's a conspiracy, a very terrible conspiracy, something horrible is going to happen. It will be very dangerous for Harry Potter to return to Hogwarts," Dobby said, unusually agitated.

"and then?"

Kevin didn't ask about any conspiracy; he knew Dobby wouldn't tell.

Hermione and Ron were a little concerned about some kind of conspiracy, but Kevin's aura was too strong for them to interrupt.

"And then Dobby, Dobby can't let Harry Potter go back, absolutely can't let Harry Potter go back..."

"That's it?"

Kevin crossed his arms and looked down at Dobby.

Hermione and Ron seemed to see the old bat in Kevin.

It's so similar, so incredibly similar.

"That's it... Dobby can't let Harry Potter go back, Your Excellency Wizard, you...."

"Did you intercept our letters?" Kevin interrupted Dobby directly.

"Yes..."

Ron and Hermione frowned. Ron was very direct and wanted to question Dobby, but Hermione stopped him.

"Is it also your fault that Harry got locked up even tighter?"

Dobby just wanted to protect Harry Potter...

Dobby trembled and dared not speak.

"No, Dobby, no." Kevin shook his head.

"You didn't protect him, you turned his already bad holiday into hell."

Kevin, employing Snape's sharp tongue, relentlessly intimidated Dobby in a low, menacing tone.

"No, no! Dobby was protecting Harry Potter!"

"You have."

"No, Dobby doesn't..."

"I said."

"you."

"have."

Kevin was tearing at Dobby's heart with every word he uttered.

Dobby got so anxious that he started banging his head against the wall.

Hermione still felt a little sorry for the little elf, so she came over and shook Kevin, signaling him that it was okay and he didn't need to scare him anymore.

Kevin nodded.

"Dobby, I'm more certain than you that Harry is going to be in danger."

"But Harry has to face these dangers; he can't escape them."

"He is the savior, and he must go through these hardships to grow."

"Now, if you understand what I'm saying, remove the magic shield. This is my final ultimatum."

To be honest, Kevin didn't really like Dobby's performance in the early part of the second movie.

Although Kevin didn't see the last two movies, he knew without a doubt that Dobby was on the good guys' side.

He dared to defy his master in order to help Harry.

But Kevin still couldn't bring himself to like it.

They secretly cut off Harry's letters from his first friend, isolating him.

They blocked the entrance when Harry boarded the train, hoping he would miss his enrollment and be expelled.

Quidditch even tried to use the Blink ball to seriously injure Harry, or even worse.

To put it simply, it's a lack of consideration and tact.

To put it more bluntly, they are more likely to cause trouble than to accomplish anything.

Oh, of course, we can't rule out the possibility that Dobby, because of the slave oath, couldn't provide Harry with any clues or assistance, which led him to choose such an extreme approach.

But Kevin didn't care.

Forgiving Dobby is Harry's business; his only responsibility is to take Harry away.

Dobby was still struggling with his thoughts. He didn't want to let Harry go, but he knew that even if he didn't let him go, the wizard would definitely find a way to take Harry away.

"Alright... Dobby, let Harry go back..."

Finally, Dobby lowered his head in disappointment and snapped his fingers.

The magical shield covering Harry's house gradually disappeared.

"A wise choice, Dobby."

Kevin lowered his raised fist, patted Dobby on the head, and turned to walk towards Harry's house to check on Harry.

Hermione and Ron stayed where they were, both very interested in the plot Dobby had just mentioned.

"Your name is Dobby, right? Dobby, you just said there was a terrible conspiracy going on. What was it?"

"Oh, Dobby, Dobby can't speak, Dobby can't betray his master."

Dobby squatted in place, scratching his ears and cheeks.

"Dobby, how can we help Harry if you don't tell us?"

"Be calm, Dobi, don't be afraid."

No matter how Hermione questioned, persuaded, or comforted him, Dobby still wouldn't say anything. He just squatted there, repeatedly hitting his head and muttering, "Dobby is bad, bad Dobby is something and that."

"It seems there's no way around it. House-elves can't betray their masters; it's a slave oath etched into their souls."

Hermione clearly knew about house-elves; she had always felt sorry for them, wondering why they were born to be slaves, and wanted to liberate them.

But now she can't do anything.

Kevin had told her that if she really pitied the elves, she shouldn't wallow in self-pity, but instead strive to improve herself so that she would have the ability to change the wizarding world.

"Why not ask who his owner is?" Ron suggested.

"Dobby cannot speak, Dobby cannot speak."

No sooner had he finished speaking than Dobby replied.

It seems he was just pretending to be crazy; he knows exactly what others are saying.

The two were also helpless and were about to say something when a loud bang rang out.

The group turned around and saw that Kevin had actually torn down the security bars on Harry's window with his bare hands.

Although it's not strange, the visual impact is still too strong.

At least Dobby was trembling with fear.

The loud noise also attracted Harry's uncle and his family.

......

Harry had just realized that the outside world was too quiet, but after a while it suddenly became quiet again, and Kevin even appeared at the window.

It seems that even without Kevin's help, Harry would find a way out on his own.

Before breaking the window, Kevin had Harry put his luggage into the stretch-charm backpack. After breaking the window, they left quickly and would explain on the way.

Then the next scene unfolded.

After tearing down the security bars, Kevin pulled Harry out, still holding Harry's owl Hedwig in his hand. He jumped back downstairs, hoisted Harry onto his back, and hurriedly ran away with Hermione and Ron.

In the Muggle world, this would be considered trespassing and damaging someone else's property.

So before Harry's uncle came in, he and the others ran off in a flash.

Harry's uncle was left behind, yelling things like, "Harry, I won't let you get away with this!" in a fit of impotent rage.
