The holiday has passed quickly, with more than half a month gone by. We'll be heading to the Order of the Phoenix in a week.

Kevin's alchemy research has made some progress in the more than half a month of exploration.

At this point, he was attempting alchemy for the fifth time in the house's basement.

A cloud of hazy silver sand floated before his eyes.

He then opened the potion he had prepared beforehand, and the brownish-yellow liquid flew out, turning into a water ball that enveloped the floating clump of silver sand.

Kevin waved his wand, and a tiny golden glimmer appeared at the tip.

The silver sand in the potion ball began to slowly gather together, forming a rhombus-shaped block about two fingers wide.

The rhombus-shaped block seemed to turn into a sponge, absorbing the medicine encasing it.

As more and more medicine was inhaled, the originally grayish and granular diamond-shaped blocks gradually became shiny and had a solid texture.

Until all the medicine was absorbed into it, it turned into a silver rhombus-shaped block, which would no longer crumble into silver sand even if squeezed hard.

Then the golden light at the tip of Kevin's wand gradually grew larger, and a small blue crystal on the table flew up and stuck to a corner of the rhombus.

This solid rhombus suddenly became like a lump of clay, easily inlaid with a piece of blue crystal.

Finally, the golden light from the tip of the staff flew out and disappeared into the rhombus-shaped block.

As the golden light penetrated, the solid rhomboid block suddenly became somewhat unstable, and granular waves appeared on its smooth surface, as if it might turn back into loose silver sand at any moment.

Kevin knew it was about to explode, so he quickly waved his wand. The golden light shone again, turning into a thread that wrapped around the shaking rhombus and forcibly stabilized it with magic.

The riots came quickly and went quickly.

After a short while, the rhombus block returned to calm.

The originally smooth surface now has some grainy undulations.

However, it's good that the crystals embedded in it didn't break.

Kevin caught the alchemical artifact; although it had a few minor flaws, he had at least succeeded.

Try infusing magic power, and the crystal on it begins to glow slightly. As more and more magic power is infused, the brightness increases.

This is a small magic storage device that can store one-tenth of Kevin's current magic power.

It can be released and absorbed whenever he needs it.

However, after the release and absorption, some of the magic power will dissipate, and only about 70% of the magic power reserve can be absorbed back.

I don't know if it's because the flaws are too big.

Moreover, this thing has a durability. Each absorption and injection process will cause irreversible wear and tear on the crystal until it is unusable.

Kevin weighed the "energy storage crystal" in his hand and muttered to himself, "When it's almost useless, maybe I can inject extra magic power into it and throw it out like a magic bomb..."

This energy storage crystal is just Kevin's experiment.

Since magic can be stored, alchemical products that can store spells can be created.

Although spells and magic are vastly different in nature, they are essentially the same: magic.

"Alright, that's enough for today," Kevin shook his head, deciding to stop thinking about these things.

He glanced at the table full of strange utensils and materials, all of which he had bought in Diagon Alley a few days ago.

Kevin waved his hand and put everything into his Stretching Spell Backpack.

He then took the energy storage crystal out of the basement and into the living room, where he saw Hermione reading a book.

As soon as she saw Kevin come out, Hermione immediately put down her book and asked him expectantly, "Did you succeed, Kevin?"

Kevin walked over and sat down next to Hermione, opening his hand to reveal the rhombus-shaped piece, the gem on it emitting a faint glow.

"Although it has some flaws, it was a success at least."

Hermione curiously picked up the energy storage crystal and tried to inject energy into it. Sure enough, she felt magic gradually being stored in it.

"How amazing! It's just an ordinary crystal, but now it can store magic."

"Kevin, you're amazing."

After saying that, Hermione gave Kevin a big hug.

This energy storage crystal is something that has not yet been invented in the wizarding world. Kevin created it after studying alchemy for more than half a month.

Although it's not technically advanced, it's genuinely useful.

Kevin was quite pleased with Hermione's praise and hummed happily twice.

"I call this an energy storage crystal. You can take it and use it if you like. Also, if you have any questions, you can give me feedback. But remember not to store too much magic power to avoid overloading."

Kevin patted Hermione's head and then said.

Hermione happily rubbed against Kevin, nestled in his arms, and examined the little gadget in her hand.

She has also read quite a few books on alchemy, but not as quickly as Kaiwen, so this is a good opportunity for her to learn.

Kevin then put his arm around Hermione's waist and watched her study the object of her gaze.

Just as Kevin was about to take advantage of the situation, their front door opened and Mrs. Granger walked in.

"Oh dear~ Looks like I've come at the wrong time~"

As soon as Mrs. Granger entered, she saw the two of them cuddling together in the living room and teased them.

"Oh, Mom! Didn't you say you were going to ring the doorbell when you came over here?"

Hermione quickly pulled Kevin's hand away, her face flushed as she shouted.

Although she and Kevin are now in a relationship, she is still very shy in front of her parents.

"Oh dear, I forgot! You've all grown up now, you need some privacy."

Mrs. Granger covered her mouth and chuckled, not at all embarrassed by her daughter's complaint.

Kevin wasn't embarrassed by Mrs. Granger's presence; he just thought that maybe he should lock the front door next time...

Although he and Hermione aren't siblings, he shouldn't do that kind of thing.

"Okay, I'm not laughing at you anymore, Kevin. I'll borrow your precious little girlfriend for a bit, you don't mind, do you?"

Mrs. Granger said to Kevin.

"Mom, don't use such an embarrassing name!" Hermione said, blushing.

"Of course, please take good care of my precious girlfriend." Kevin accepted the title very naturally and nodded as he spoke.

Hermione ignored it, blushed, kicked Kevin's shin, and then pulled her mother out of the house and ran next door.

During this time, Mrs. Granger would occasionally come and take Hermione away, telling Kevin that she was there to train his future wife.

I don't know how good the training in household management is.

Hermione seems to learn how to handle her man very quickly.

Seeing that Kevin was reading a book, she would come over and massage his shoulders to let him rest.

When Kevin is tired from work, she lets him rest his head on her lap and stroke his head.

When Kevin is struggling with his studies and frowns, she will snuggle into his arms and act cute to cheer him up.

God knows what her mother-in-law taught Hermione...

But I like it!
