Hogwarts: Who uses a crowbar in wizard duels?

Chapter 110 The Other Functions of Phoenix Feathers: Learning Alchemy

It was after dinner when Kevin and Hermione returned to their little house next door.

Since it was a rare opportunity for Hermione to come back, she missed her parents very much and chatted with them for a long time.

Kevin walked around the house.

What appears to be a casual stroll is actually the placement of some trigger-based protective spells.

Normally, these spells are invisible specks of light, but depending on the magical power injected, they can remain for a considerable period of time.

When this house is attacked by magic or magical creatures, a protective spell will be automatically triggered.

Even though he was far away at Hogwarts, Kevin could sense that these remaining spells were being triggered, and thus rushed over quickly.

He is currently unable to place a protective charm on Granger and his wife.

However, after some time, once he has achieved a certain level of expertise in alchemy, he should be able to find a way.

Kevin put all 5 free talent points he received from this mission into the Alchemy talent tree, and now he has 12 Alchemy talent points.

The main purpose was to analyze his bracelet, but he hadn't studied it properly yet; he had only bought some books.

I'm planning to study alchemy this holiday.

When Kevin returned to their own little home, he found an extra letter on the floor of their living room.

Kevin waved his hand, and the letter flew over.

It's Harry's letter. Why did he send a letter so soon?

Upon opening it, I found a letter and five red bird feathers inside the envelope, which looked strangely familiar.

After reading the letter, Kevin finally understood. It turned out to be Fox's feather. No wonder it looked so familiar.

Harry said that the Order of the Phoenix was cursed, so owls couldn't deliver messages to them.

So if you want to write to them, after you finish writing the letter, write "Order of the Phoenix Headquarters" as the address and put a Fox feather on the envelope.

Then light the envelope, and the letter will appear in the Order of the Phoenix.

This is a very rapid communication function that can be used in emergencies.

Besides writing about the Order of the Phoenix, I guess you could write about other things, like Dumbledore's office, or someone's name.

The letter that appeared out of nowhere in Dumbledore's office during Petit's escape in the third year was likely delivered using Fawkes' feather.

Fox, it seems you've been taken advantage of quite a bit. So why are you so hostile towards me?

Hermione seemed very interested, wrote a reply, and tried to light it herself.

The letter floated up automatically upon contact with fire, burned completely in the air, and disappeared without leaving a trace of ash.

The message was clearly delivered successfully.

Seeing Hermione's interest, Kevin gave her all the dozen or so Fawkes feathers he had in his bag.

Although Hermione said she wasn't a child, she happily accepted the feather.

He even gave Kevin a kiss as a reward.

Fox, I hope you can let your guard down next semester and let me pluck a few more hairs from your head.

After Hermione and I get married, I'll let you sit at the head table.

Kevin licked his lips, thinking to himself.

......

Kevin's room was still lit up at night.

Since he plans to join the Order of the Phoenix in a month, Kevin intends to study alchemy diligently in the near future to see if he can make a talisman or something for the Grangers.

Kevin was holding a book on basic alchemy.

At first glance, alchemy seems to be an advanced discipline that combines elements of various subjects.

Unlike the anime of my previous life, which featured things like equivalent exchange or creating things out of thin air by hand, this one didn't involve anything like making gold or weapons out of thin air.

It's more like creating an object, or even a living being, through the application of various materials and spells and potions.

It's more like a craft.

Perhaps alchemy is too profound, or perhaps 12 points of alchemical talent is still too few, Kevin's learning speed is relatively slow.

I should have put the attribute points into Intelligence...

However, Kevin didn't plan to become an alchemy master in a month; that was unrealistic. He just needed to craft an object that could store spells.

If only I had a good teacher to guide me, I would definitely ask Dumbledore for advice next semester.

Just as Kevin was having a headache, there was a knock on the door.

"Kevin, why aren't you asleep yet?" Hermione's voice came through the phone.

Before he knew it, Kevin had stayed up until 3 a.m.

Hermione probably came out to use the restroom and saw that Kevin's room light was still on.

Kevin opened the door and, sure enough, saw Hermione looking sleepy and like she hadn't woken up yet.

"It's nothing, I was just reading and didn't notice the time."

"What book are you reading so intently?" Hermione asked curiously.

"The book of alchemy."

"Are these the books you bought before? Didn't we agree to read them together? You broke your promise!"

Hearing this, Hermione became unhappy.

When they bought the books, Hermione kept saying she wanted to study together, but Kevin sneaked off.

It's one thing to sneak out, but to stay up so late is another! What if you ruin your health?

"It was just a basic review, okay, I was wrong."

Kevin had no choice but to coax Hermione, saying, "Why is this little genius so competitive?"

"Then you're not allowed to watch anymore, go to sleep now."

"Okay, I understand." Kevin nodded repeatedly in agreement.

Hermione finally calmed down and turned to go back to her room.

But as soon as Kevin closed the door, Hermione rushed out again.

Her face was slightly flushed, and she was holding a pillow in her hands.

"Well, I've been thinking about it, and to prevent you from disobeying me, I've decided that I'll sleep here tonight... to keep an eye on you while you sleep."

Hermione looked like she was in the right but not really convinced.

Without waiting for Kevin's response, she pushed Kevin aside, entered the room, and jumped into Kevin's bed.

"Hurry up, turn off the lights and go to sleep."

Hermione buried her head under the covers and said in a soft yet fierce voice.

"Okay, I'll do as you say."

Kevin smiled as he looked at Hermione's adorable expression.

You barged in here yourself.

Kevin closed the door and turned off the lights.

He also crawled into bed and hugged Hermione tightly.

"Hey, what are you doing? Going to sleep?"

Hermione blushed as Kevin suddenly hugged her.

"I've recently gotten into the habit of sleeping with something in my arms, otherwise I can't fall asleep."

"You've taken my spot as a body pillow, so you'll have to be my body pillow."

Kevin hugged Hermione from behind and whispered in her ear.

"You're lying, when did you develop this habit..."

"Just now, when you got into my bed."

"...Never mind you, go to sleep."

Hermione was speechless at Kevin's shamelessness, so she simply ignored it, changed to a more comfortable position, and lay down in Kevin's arms, letting Kevin hold her.

Anyway, we're a couple now.

It's normal for them to sleep together while cuddling, right?

As long as you don't do the things your mother suggested, everything will be fine.

Hermione thought this to herself, but her face quickly turned red again.

Because Kevin's hands were inappropriate, groping her all over.

"Idiot, stop touching me, go to sleep."

Hermione blushed and slapped Kevin's groping hand away.

"Well, what can I do? Hermione's so sweet and soft!"

As Kevin spoke, he nuzzled Hermione's neck.

Hearing Kevin say such explicit things, Hermione regretted coming to Kevin's room to sleep.

This isn't supervision; this is just someone delivering vegetables.

She could only let Kevin run rampant, powerless to resist.

Fortunately, perhaps it was too late, or perhaps he had overworked his brain, but after a while of being silly, Kevin fell into a deep sleep.

Hermione breathed a sigh of relief, worried that Kevin might not be able to control himself, but she was sure he wouldn't refuse.

That kind of thing can only happen when Kevin is an adult...
