After leaving the airspace over Kuroki Market, it turned back towards its planned patrol route.

The silence lasted for a while, then Green Tile finally couldn't resist turning its head, its emerald green vertical pupils full of inquiry:

"Hey, Iron Bones, what's wrong with you today? You're being so secretive, flying straight to the market and now you're keeping quiet. What are you up to?"

Motu flapped its wings, maintaining a steady flight posture, hesitated for a moment, and decided to speak frankly.

After all, finding materials might require her help.

"I've encountered a bottleneck in my wizard's meditation practice."

He spoke, his voice clear in the air.

"Several materials are needed to attempt to refine a basic magic potion for breakthrough."

"Oh?"

Green Tile became interested, its ears perking up slightly.

"What materials? Tell me, I know this place well!"

"Moonlight Grass, Blood Moss, and the Essence of Dark Water."

Green Tile paused for a moment after hearing this, then grinned, its sharp serrated teeth gleaming in the sunlight, and let out a short, mocking laugh:

"Ha! That's it? I thought you were looking for some kind of dragon crystal mine! You scared me."

With a flap of her wings, she flew closer to Motu, her tone becoming more relaxed:

"Moonlight grass grows in the damp meadow by Mirror Lake. When the moonlight is good at night, it shines brightly and can be seen at a glance."

Blood moss... it's a bit rare, but you can always find some deep in the Dark Water Swamp, in those godforsaken rock crevices and muddy beaches!

As for the essence of the Nether Water—

She drew out the melody, with a hint of boastfulness.

"Sometimes a little bit of something can condense at the bottom of the deepest part of Mirror Lake. I saw it when I was taking a bath last time... cough, I saw it when I was exploring last time."

She counted on her hands: "These three things, if I visit these three places in one day, I can definitely get them all for you!"

But then, as if remembering something, she turned her vertical pupils and scratched her chin with the tip of her tail:

"Wait... Blood Moss... I remember that to the north, at the very end of the Darkwater Swamp, near the border of the Kingdom of Shane, there is an abandoned Blood Sand Eagle nest at the bottom of that cliff."

I caught a glimpse of it from afar during my last patrol, and it looked like there was a large patch of dark red stuff on the cliff face. I didn't pay much attention at the time, but now that I think about it, it's very likely the blood moss you're looking for!

She became more and more certain as she spoke:

"That's right! Blood moss loves to grow in those kinds of places. The droppings of blood desert eagles, the leftover bone fragments, and the blood splattered on them when they fight, after rotting and fermenting, will form a special kind of blood fertilizer on the rock surface, which is most suitable for the rampant growth of blood moss."

"Lead the way," Motu said succinctly.

"Hehe! Then you better stay close!"

Green Tile responded excitedly, immediately adjusted its direction, flapped its wings, and accelerated northward.

The two dragons deviated from their usual patrol route and ventured deep into the heart of the swamp.

The terrain below became increasingly low-lying, and the water area continued to expand. The originally clear water gradually became turbid, eventually turning into an opaque, almost inky black color.

The stench of decay in the air grew stronger, mingled with the fishy smell of silt and rotting aquatic plants.

Occasionally, a dark bubble would struggle to rise from the bottom of the water with a gurgling sound, burst on the surface, and release a pungent sulfur smell, reminding visitors of the danger and filth of this place.

We've arrived at the depths of the Dark Water Swamp.

The green tiles lowered their height first, their wings gliding almost close to the bare branches of the dead trees.

She stretched out her tail and pointed to a section of land below: "Look there!"

It was a rocky cliff that rose abruptly from the filthy swamp. It wasn't very high, only about the height of two adult humans stacked on top of each other.

The cliff face was covered with a thick, hardened layer of grayish-white bird droppings, interspersed with large patches of oxidized and blackened old bloodstains. A strong, nauseating stench could be faintly smelled even at high altitudes.

At the top of the cliff, the outlines of several nests roughly built with withered branches, feathers and mud are still faintly discernible, but they have long since collapsed and are empty, clearly abandoned for a long time.

However, on the shady, damp side of the cliff, away from the swamp and perpetually shrouded in darkness, a dense patch of dark red caught Motu's eye.

The moss grew exceptionally vigorously, thick and soft, like a carefully laid dark red velvet blanket, clinging tightly to the gray-black rocks.

In this environment dominated by filth and gray-black tones, that patch of somber red stands out starkly and conspicuously.

"That's it."

Motu affirmed, his golden vertical pupils locking onto the patch of blood moss.

Just as Motu folded his wings and prepared to land on the cliff face covered with blood moss, his newly acquired magical perception suddenly gave him a clear warning.

Two sources of magical power, clearly hostile and tinged with bloodlust, were rapidly approaching from the mist that permeated the depths of the swamp, heading straight for their location!

Something's coming!

He immediately let out a low shout, his body tensing in mid-air as he assumed a fighting stance.

Almost simultaneously, Green Tile noticed that its emerald green vertical pupils suddenly contracted into thin lines, and the dragon's serrated mouth opened slightly, emitting a threatening low hiss.

Her three forked tails instantly rose, the sharp bone spikes at the ends pointing directly at the direction from which the aura was coming, like a venomous snake poised to strike.

The next second, two dark brown figures shot through the gray-white mist like arrows and appeared in sight.

Two blood-red sand eagles.

This was the first time Motu had seen this creature up close.

They are smaller than blue dragons, and are covered from head to tail with dark brown, almost black feathers, the edges of which are stained with dark red, blood-like patterns.

The claws were a filthy gray-black, curved like iron hooks, with menacing barbs at the tips of the toes.

Its wingspan is very wide, and its flight attitude is swift and aggressive.

The most striking feature is its hooked beak, with the upper beak much longer than the lower beak, its edges gleaming with a metallic sheen and as sharp as a knife.

The two Blood Sand Eagles spotted them and, almost without hesitation, let out a piercing screech that would shatter eardrums. They pounced on the larger Motu from the left and right, like two intersecting black lightning bolts!

Clearly, they considered the blue dragons their primary threat.

The first Blood Sand Eagle swooped down, its gray-black talons tearing through the air with a sharp sound, viciously grabbing at Motu's head.

Motu did not dodge.

He suddenly raised his left arm to block in front of him.

The instant his claws touched the scales, the bone structure inside his arm changed instantly, its density increased dramatically, and it gleamed with a restrained bronze-like luster, which even peeked out from between the scales.

The Blood Sand Eagle's talons gripped the arm covered in hard scales, producing a teeth-grinding, sharp sound, like the roughest metal scraping against hard rock.

Several clear, light-white scratches were left on the scales, but even the outermost layer of keratin was not completely broken.

The Blood Sand Eagle's murky, dark yellow vertical pupils suddenly contracted. It probably hadn't expected the blue dragon's scales to be so tough.

Driven by instinct, it immediately flapped its wings, trying to gain altitude and create distance.

But Motu didn't give it a chance.

Almost the instant he successfully blocked the attack, his right claw, crackling with a dark blue light, lashed out with even greater speed, striking the Blood Sand Eagle's unprotected chest and abdomen!

"Bang--!"

The dull thud was mixed with the soft popping of an electric arc.

The feathers on the Blood Sand Eagle's chest instantly turned black and curled, emitting wisps of smoke.

The immense force sent its entire body flying backward like a rag doll, tracing a crooked trajectory before crashing heavily into the viscous black swamp below, splashing up large amounts of filthy mud.
