While I was chanting a curse, the system said I was Xiao Yan?
Chapter 105 Awakening
The hotel lobby was very quiet.
There was no one at the front desk. The sofas in the lounge area were crookedly placed, and there was still unfinished coffee on the coffee table. The coffee had gone cold, and a thin film had formed on the surface.
A faint scent permeated the lobby, not perfume, not cleaning agent, but something more abstract, like an unsettling aroma that had been stirred and then settled.
Nanami Kento knew that this was the scent left behind after the cursed spirit was exorcised.
My heart sank even further.
He helped Haibara Yu through the lobby and into the corridor.
The corridor was a mess.
There were several deep knife marks on the wall, concrete fragments were scattered all over the floor, two light tubes on the ceiling were broken, and shards of glass shimmered in the pool of blood.
Then he stopped.
There was blood on the hallway floor.
The dark red blood stood out starkly against the light gray marble floor. It wasn't dripping, but rather pooling out from the depths of the corridor, gleaming with a somber sheen under the lights.
Nanami Kento's pupils suddenly contracted.
He released his hand from Haibara Yu's shoulder, gently leaned Haibara Yu against the wall, and then walked in the direction of the bloodstains. His steps were very light, so light that they were almost inaudible, but his heart was beating very fast, so fast that he could feel his chest vibrating.
At the end of the corridor, a person lay on the ground.
His black, shoulder-length hair was scattered on the ground, the hair tie that had tied his hair in a bun had come loose, and a long fringe hung down to the side of his face, stained with dark red blood. His uniform was soaked with blood, from his chest to his abdomen, the dark fabric covered with wet, spreading bloodstains.
Nanami Kento recognized the clothes.
It's Senior Xia You!
Nanami Kento's mind went blank for a moment, but his body moved on its own. He quickly walked to Xia Youjie's side and squatted down.
Blood, lots of blood!
Xia Youjie had a huge X-shaped wound on his chest, extending from his left shoulder to his right rib, and then from his right shoulder to his left rib, crossing over each other, deep enough to expose the bone.
Qi Haijian checked Xia Youjie's breath.
It still breathes.
It's very faint, but there is some.
He breathed a sigh of relief, but only half a sigh of relief, because he saw that Xia Youjie's chest wound was still bleeding, not quickly, but definitely bleeding.
Being a sorcerer is not a safe profession, so Nanami Kento, who had received emergency treatment training, could tell that Xia Youjie's injuries were serious. Fortunately, there was no major bleeding and his life was not in danger, but if left untreated, there was no telling what serious emergencies might occur.
He took off his coat, folded it a few times, and pressed it hard against Xia Youjie's chest wound. The coat was quickly soaked with blood, the dark red spreading from the center outwards like an ominous flower in full bloom.
This was obviously not going to work. He looked around and luckily found a first-aid kit, which allowed him to barely control Xia Youjie's injuries.
He stood up and rushed up to the third floor.
The corridor was quiet, and all the doors were closed, as if nothing had happened.
Nanami Kento strode to the door of Tennori Riko's room. The door was open, and there was a clear shoe print on the door frame. The lock was completely deformed, as if it had been kicked open.
He pushed the door open and went in.
The room was empty.
The bed was neatly made, the windows were closed, and the curtains were half-drawn, allowing sunlight to stream in through the gaps and cast a golden band of light on the floor. Two unfinished cups of tea sat on the coffee table; the tea had gone cold, and a thin film of condensation had formed on the surface.
Nanami Kenji's heart was beating faster and faster.
He turned and rushed out of the room, searching room by room along the corridor. Most of the doors were closed and locked tightly, except for one door which was ajar.
He pushed open the door.
Misato Kuroi lay on the floor of the room, her eyes closed and her breathing even. There was a clear red mark on the side of her neck, as if she had been hit by something.
Nanami Kento crouched down and gently patted her face.
"Miss Kuroi, Miss Kuroi!"
Misato Kuroi's eyelids twitched, then she slowly opened them. Her gaze was unfocused, her pupils unfocused, as if she were looking at a very, very distant place.
"Ms. Kuroi!"
Misato Kuroi's gaze finally focused. She sat bolt upright, her eyes wide, her lips trembling, "Riko! Riko... she's been taken away!"
Nanami Kento's heart sank.
"Who kidnapped her?" His voice was deep but steady.
Misato Kuroi shook her head, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I don't know... that person, he's very strong... Mr. Natsuyu, he..."
"Senior Natsuyou was injured, but he is still alive."
Misato Kuroi paused for a moment, then covered her mouth, her tears flowing even more fiercely.
Nanami Kento didn't say anything more. He stood up, walked to the window, and took his phone out of his pocket. He scrolled through his contacts, found the name, took a deep breath, and then pressed the dial button.
The phone rang twice before being answered.
"Feed?"
The voice of Gojo Satoru came from the other end of the phone, carrying a lazy and casual tone: "Nanami? What's up?"
Nanami Kento spoke, his voice deep and steady, but every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth.
"Gojo-senpai, something's happened."
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone.
"Natsuyu-senpai is seriously injured, and Tenten Riko has been kidnapped."
There was another moment of silence.
Then Gojo Satoru's voice rang out again, no longer the lazy, casual one from before, but a deep, steady voice devoid of any warmth: "I'll be there soon."
Some time later, the Seven Seas Construction People heard rumors.
It wasn't a natural wind, but some kind of more intense and concentrated airflow, as if something was falling from the sky at an extremely high speed, tearing a hole in the air. The windows at the end of the corridor were shaken by that airflow, and the glass trembled in the window frames, emitting a faint, piercing buzz.
A figure fell in through the window.
It didn't walk in, it "fell" in. As if it had fallen from the sky, it landed on its feet, knees slightly bent to absorb the impact of the fall, then stood up, dusted off its trousers, and put its hands in its pockets.
His white hair gleamed coldly in the sunlight, sunglasses perched on his nose, and his expression was almost too calm. But in his eyes, hidden behind the sunglasses, gleamed a dangerous light that sent chills down one's spine.
Gojo Satoru.
Behind him, Tianyan also landed, his purple-gold bone wings unfolding behind him, with a wingspan of more than three meters. Purple-gold light patterns flowed on the membrane, shining brightly under the dim light of the corridor. His expression was also calm, but his brows were slightly furrowed, and his pupils contracted slightly when his gaze fell on Xia Youjie.
He put down the glass he was carrying, and she ran towards Xia Youjie as soon as she landed, carrying a white medical kit.
She ran to Xia Youjie's side, squatted down, placed the medical kit on the ground, then raised her right hand, palm up, reversed the spell, and activated it.
A ball of white, warm magical energy surged from her palm, enveloping Xia Youjie's chest in a soft white light.
Nanami Kento saw that the wounds were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye, the muscles were regenerating, the skin was closing up again, and the deep cracks that revealed the bone were being gently smoothed out by an invisible hand, disappearing little by little.
Shoko Ieiri's expression remained unchanged as she focused intently on Natsume's chest, continuously casting the reversal spell. Fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, but her hands remained steady, without even a tremor.
Xia Youjie's eyelids twitched.
Then, his eyes opened.
His pupils were still somewhat unfocused, like someone who had just surfaced from deep water, his gaze fixed on Ieiri Shoko.
"Glass..."
His voice was hoarse, as if it had been sanded on sandpaper, and every word carried the weakness of someone recovering from a serious illness: "What are you doing here...?"
Shoko Ieiri glanced at him, her hands still moving: "You're seriously injured, of course I'm here."
Xia Youjie frowned slightly, as if trying to recall something, and then his pupils suddenly contracted.
"Within the day!"
