Huayu: Were you ever a top star before writing nonsense?

Just as book fans were discussing "The All-Round Artist," a heated discussion was also taking place in one of the QQ groups hosted by Dianping.

The group members include Yue Guan, Dancing, Hama, I Eat Tomatoes, Tang San, Chen Dong, Yu Yan, and others.

The expert group on Dianping!

The average person might imagine that expert groups are full of positive energy, assuming that these experts frequently discuss creativity, themes, genres, and so on. In reality, however, they mostly talk about gossip, dining out, finance, erotic images, dirty jokes, international affairs, massage therapists, cars...

We talked about everything under the sun, but rarely about novels.

But tonight, the experts are not calm.

A volcano is venting its fury, launching an attack on the pinnacle of online literature, seeking to prove itself as a god.

"Tomato, you're in danger." Toad sent a message in the group:

"This month, Shen Can's 'Artist in the Circle' has surpassed 'Back to the Ming Dynasty to Be a Prince' and your 'Inch of Light' in terms of monthly ticket count, becoming the number one novel on the monthly ticket list. It is also the second novel on the website to have more than 10,000 monthly tickets. Now he has written a powerful and compelling author's note for the book's release and is giving away 5000 albums for free."

He's got big ambitions; he's after your 24-hour subscription record.

Not long ago, "Cun Mang" broke the previous record set by Diaoniang with a peak of 8000 subscriptions in 24 hours.

This result is definitely not bad.

These days, on a dating website, a novel that gets 5000 subscriptions within 24 hours is already extremely rare.

Any new book that achieves this level of success is a testament to its legitimacy.

While dancing, I typed:

"I've observed him, and he's definitely a marketing genius. Among the younger generation in the physical publishing industry are Han Han and Guo Jingming. If Shen Can had gone down the physical path, he might not have been able to make it big, so he chose the online literature industry. If he can break several records on the online literature platform and achieve platinum status, it will greatly help boost his fame."

Yue Guan posted a shrug emoji: "They're using a cross-industry, dimensional-lowering attack, how are you going to compete?"

Chen Dong echoed:

"That's right, he's a heretical cultivator. No musician can write novels better than him, and no novelist can make music better than him, plus he's really good at creating hype and marketing... He's terrifyingly strong!"

He may have ushered in a new era for the online literature world!

I've read his novels, and to be honest, I think his thinking in online literature is very advanced. Although he writes entertainment novels, I can learn a lot from his control of the exciting moments, pacing, and plot. He's simply a genius in online literature!

And the "Innate XX Sacred Body" nicknames he gave to those female celebrities—honestly, he was utterly wasting their potential! What a waste!

If this were used in a fantasy or xianxia novel, it would be incredibly cool!

Tang San suddenly appeared:

"Haven't you noticed? Because of his influence, the number of readers on DianNiang has increased, and not just a little, but a lot! The audience is expanding rapidly, and many people who didn't read novels before have been attracted to DianNiang."

No one can match his ability to attract new users.

Shen Can is expanding the market for us. As the market grows, the pie gets bigger, and everyone benefits.

Those readers who are drawn to Shen Can may also become our readers.

To be fair, Shen Can is indeed our competitor, but compared to his contributions to the online literature industry and to Qidian.com... I think we should bow to him.

Yangzhou, while frantically writing, I ate tomatoes and took a moment to reply to a message:

"I think so too. The fact that Dianping managed to sign Shen Can's book is a huge stroke of luck. Guess what, wouldn't the other digital website want to poach Shen Can? They'd probably be willing to offer millions!"

Shen Can cannot be viewed as an ordinary online novel author.

He is more important than those top-tier authors poached by other platforms!

He can make Dianping and online novels known to more people, thereby expanding their reach!

Shen Can wants to break the record, so let him. He wants fame, so let him have it. If he gains fame, we will also benefit; it's a win-win situation.

Therefore, I suggest that everyone be generous and write a separate chapter to garner votes for Shen Can's novel.

We're all men here. He's willing to spend 5000 albums, so are we, the authors who have benefited from his kindness, just going to stand by and watch?

He's much younger than us.

I used reverse psychology to get rid of the tomatoes.

He knew very well that while everyone appeared to be on good terms as authors, they were actually competing with each other behind the scenes.

It's normal for intellectuals to be jealous of each other.

Sometimes, it's not uncommon for top authors to argue heatedly over monthly votes.

After all, the monthly ticket ranking is related to the novel's subscription, which is actually a battle for money and fame.

But he didn't want to see infighting among online novel authors over Shen Can's matter.

Shen Can can't stay in the online literature circle forever; he's in the entertainment industry. If he misses this opportunity to expand the online literature market, who knows when the next one will come?

After I Eat Tomatoes sent the message, regardless of the replies from the other experts in the group, he opened the Diaoniang website and immediately saw the eye-catching promotional slogan on the homepage: "Shen Can's 'All-Round Artist' will be available tonight at 8 PM!"

Normally, this treatment is only given to new books by renowned authors.

"It seems the higher-ups at Dianping also want to seize this opportunity," I thought to myself.

After glancing at it, he quickly opened the website's backend.

Half a minute later, he finished writing the promotional piece for "The All-Round Artist" and released it.

"Shen Can is a singer that Tomato really likes. His songs are all very good. Tomato listens to them every night."

Tonight at 8 PM, Shen Can's novel "The All-Round Artist" will be released. To celebrate, and also to help Shen Can gain more subscriptions, I'm going to add two extra chapters! I hope everyone will support Shen Can's novel. Thank you!

After I finished posting the single chapter about eating tomatoes, I chuckled:

"My fans will be shocked, hahaha, and some might even ask me when I had that 'asshole deal' with Shen Can..."

It's quite interesting to think about.

He then switched back to the QQ group page.

However, the top authors have already responded.

Yue Guan: "That makes sense. A separate chapter has already been included in 'Return to the Ming Dynasty'!"

Tang San: "We must support it. It's already been sent."

Chen Dong: "I posted it too."

Yu Yan: "Done."

Toad: "It's out. When are you going to add Shen Can to the group? I want to mooch a meal from him."

Dancing: "Tomato, you're so despicable! You actually said you're a fan of Shen Can!!"

"..."

I ate the tomato with a smile on my face, completely ignoring the dancing girl's complaints.

Despicable? That's called clever.

Saying you're a fan of Shen Can instantly bridges the gap between you and Shen Can's fans, right?

Besides, the protagonists in his works are known for their upright values, which also proves that his own values are upright and have nothing to do with despicable behavior.
