Peninsula: My mentor Kim Tae-yeon

Chapter 86 Winter and Summer

Chapter 86 Winter and Summer (8.4k long chapter)

"Ah, yes, yes, yes."

"Okay, okay."

"Ahokokok."

After receiving the call, Su Xia gave a series of perfunctory replies, leaving Kim Tae-yeon, who was standing next to her, completely bewildered.

After seeing Su Xia hang up the phone with a helpless expression, he finally asked.

"Who is it? Such a perfunctory response!"

"My mom," Su Xia shook her head helplessly, "asked me if I had any connections in South Korea. She wants my brother to study in South Korea."

A big question mark quietly appeared on Kim Tae-yeon's forehead.

"Coming to study in South Korea? Are you that desperate?"

"I told you, my mom said my brother's grades are so bad that he'd have a hard time getting into a decent vocational college in China, and studying in Europe or America would cost a lot of money, so he's not good enough for it. Going to the UK or Australia for a bachelor's degree is too far away, so it's better for him to find a school in Japan or South Korea, at least it's closer, and he can come back whenever something happens."

"Then I thought about it for half the night and chose South Korea, which was also a way to broaden my horizons."

Kim Tae-yeon opened her mouth, but couldn't say anything.

The reason is indeed valid—there's nothing wrong with it.

Since I'm just getting a bachelor's degree anyway, I might as well hang out in Japan and South Korea. And with Su Xia around in South Korea, I might even be able to find connections to get into a better school.

Aside from the fact that it doesn't sound good to outsiders, everything else is perfect.

"Is your brother a senior in high school?"

"I just started my senior year of high school this year."

"Oh right, it's September now." Kim Tae-yeon nodded in realization.

"University, huh?" Su Xia scratched her head. "What am I going to do? I don't know anyone there."

"The Cultural Center is under the Ministry of Education," Kim Tae-yeon reminded her.

Su Xia's eyes lit up.

That's right, when in doubt, it's Director Jin.

"What do you think about letting my brother study Korean law in Korea?" Su Xia suddenly suggested.

"I don't think it will work." Kim Tae-yeon looked at Su Xia speechlessly. "The pass rate for the bar exam in South Korea is extremely low."

The subtext is, can your brother's score of less than 300 really beat a Korean who only sleeps four hours a day?

"Well, never mind then." Su Xia coughed lightly. "Let me ask Director Jin what's going on first."

"Okay," Kim Tae-yeon replied. "I'll go check on the progress of NMXX."

"Okay." Su Xia responded, and Kim Tae-yeon then walked through the wall from the vocal room to the practice room next door.

NMIXX is still learning Chinese with a teacher inside.

Practice started the day before yesterday, and except for a day off yesterday when NMIXX had a performance, it resumed today. After arriving, I continued to learn Chinese, and we will continue recording after Su Xia finishes her work.

Su Xia was mainly busy composing music when she received this call from her mother.

Kim Tae-yeon was stunned when she arrived at the practice room.

Because besides the Chinese teacher and the members of NMIXX, there was also ————

Golden Autumn and Liz

"Oh, what brings them here?" Kim Tae-yeon curiously came over to listen to their conversation.

"We've learned some Chinese songs before, but we haven't practiced them much," Jin Qiutian said with a smile.

"I watched the live stream by the senior and Lawyer Su. They taught two songs, one called 'Big City, Small Love,' and the other was—'Look into my eyes and say it'?" Surfing expert Wu Haiyuan answered instantly.

"Yes." Jin Qiutian nodded with a smile. "Liz has been practicing, and I came here this time to practice this as well."

After their tour officially ended, and their activities in Japan also concluded yesterday, I've been completely free this month. After thinking it over and having nothing to do, I dragged Liz over to practice singing.

As for why it wasn't on Starship but at CJ Entertainment —

Can we say that Starship doesn't have resident Chinese teachers?

Although CJ Entertainment has one, this is the only one on duty outside of promotional periods. They heard that she was in the practice room on the third floor, so they came over, only to unexpectedly run into NMIXX.

"We're almost done. We're going to record 'Four Seasons' with Attorney Su later."

"Can we just watch?" Liz's eyes lit up, and she asked immediately.

Although she was the first female guest to be filmed in the strictest sense, it was still a novel experience for her from an observer's perspective.

"It should be okay, right?" Wu Haiyuan wasn't sure, after all, this was someone else's home turf.

"Of course!" Kim Tae-yeon said cheerfully, though no one could hear her. "If you can't do it, who can?"

What song are you practicing?

"This is----"

Liz and Jin Qiutian glanced at the sheet music that Pei Zhenlu had brought and then fell silent.

No wonder they don't cooperate with IVE; besides Liz, who else could stand that?

Even Liz herself wasn't very confident.

What is all this about?

Click.

The practice room door opened, and Su Xia walked in with her phone in hand. The first thing she saw was Liz and Jin Qiutian.

"Hey? What brings you all here?"

"Su Xia oppa".

"Attorney Su."

Liz and Jin Qiutian greeted Su Xia with smiles.

The way Liz was addressed caused the NMIXX members to turn their heads.

Could it be that...?

Eating melons is human nature, especially for women, who are a gender group that is generally obsessed with gossip.

A raging fire of gossip burned in my heart.

"We're here to practice singing, the songs they taught us during the last live stream," Liz said first.

"Yes, we'll record a video and release it once we've practiced enough," Jin Qiutian added.

"Not bad." Su Xia looked at them in surprise. He had almost forgotten about it, but he didn't expect them to remember.

"That's perfect. Hae-won and the others have already finished. We'll go to the fifteenth floor to record the video. You guys can practice here."

"We're going to go and observe," Liz said quickly, while subtly glancing at Oh Hae-won.

Hae-won and Hae-won i are completely different ways of addressing each other.

Wu Haiyuan was taken aback when Liz glanced at her. Why is Liz looking at me?

Bae Jin-sol, who was standing to the side, raised her hand and nudged Oh Hae-won.

Wu Haiyuan turned around and glared at her.

[what?]

Pei Zhenlu smiled broadly.

To Oh Hae-won, that smile seemed a little...

gloat?

"That's fine too." Su Xia didn't mind. "Let's go then. The sooner we finish recording, the sooner we can prepare for 'Under the Flying Clouds'."

"Inside!" 6.

Liz, with a cheerful stride, pulled Jin Qiutian along behind NMIXX, and together they went up to the top floor.

The 15th floor of CJ Entertainment is a high-rise office area and an open-air rest area for artists. This time, the production team chose the rooftop open-air area.

The CJMCN recording team had been waiting for a long time, and turned on the machine after Su Xia and NMIXX arrived.

Su Xia took the jacket from Xiao Li and put it on. Naturally, she had to change into her performance outfit for the recording. Even though it was just a shiny jacket, it was still a change.

Looking back at NMIXX.

"Are you ready?"

"Inside."

Let's begin.

Liz and Jin Qiutian stood behind the camera watching the recording taking place.

The little glutinous rice girls, who were originally just nice little sisters, all got into character the moment the camera started rolling.

Su Xia stood in the very center of the square, and NMIXX stood around her as a drone took off to film.

The music of "The Four Seasons" suddenly began.

Su Xia's voice cut in instantly.

"The seasons come and go."

"I gave you my cold winter, and I also offered you my hot summer."

The instant Su Xia's voice took center stage, the harmonies of the six members of NMIXX quietly merged into O's voice the next second.

Liz and Jin Qiutian subconsciously looked at each other and saw the shock in each other's eyes.

NMIXX's harmonies are neither abrupt nor overpowering; they perfectly support Su Xia's voice as the bass. This sense of integration not only makes the sound fuller but also richer.

Wu Haiyuan and Xue Yun were on either side of Su Xia, one on the left and one on the right.

Wu Haiyuan: Let go of you who was once the whole world. Xueyun: Did I really love you? Harmony: When will spring finally arrive? As Su Xia's voice fell, Wu Haiyuan and Xueyun stepped forward at the same time, and the camera switched to the camera directly opposite them. Su Xia, who was originally in the center position, was immediately replaced by Wu Haiyuan and Xueyun as the two centers.

Bae Jin-sol, Jang Gyu-jin, and Kim Ji-woo walked forward side by side in the last row, accompanied by voices coming through hand microphones.

Bae Jin-sul: Yes, we were deeply in love back then. Jang Gyu-jin: Like a Shakespearean drama. Kim Ji-woo: As if we had met our final love. Harmony: We only had each other in our eyes. Now we also want to see other places. Everyone pushed back in unison, highlighting Su Xia and Xue Yun's figures on the left and right.

I gave you the world.

"You were my everything."

The moment Su Xia's voice rang out in the chorus, Liz and Jin Qiutian noticed the change in camera angle, which switched from a long shot to a close-up, leaving only Su Xia and Xue Yun in the frame.

This switching —

has a problem!

The next second, Xueyun's voice, like that of Lin Zhishen who uprooted a willow tree, suddenly rang out.

"I give you both my cold winters and my hot summers."

Just when the two thought it was just another solo performance by Xueyun, they saw Su Xia, who was standing next to Xueyun, raise the microphone.

"In that season of alternating cold and warmth"

Su Xia's voice blended perfectly into Xue Yun's voice, causing Liz and Jin Qiutian, who were listening in, to widen their eyes at the same time.

Mo? ? ?

"Did I ever truly love you?"

"This—" Jin Qiutian watched Su Xia and Xue Yun continuously delivering their performance in the arena. The harmonies between the two were constantly assaulting her ears, the impact of the double-layered narrative and synchronized vocal techniques—

It sounds so spicy!

Liz was also staring intently at Xueyun.

Having worked with Su Xia before, she knew his vocal habits and singing skills all too well. When they collaborated on "My Love" before, he actually held back.

And now—

Liz wasn't sure if Su Xia had kept any secrets, but judging from the sound—

She's much better than her!

Liz's heart sank, and the dimples on her face disappeared.

This isn't a failure in terms of timbre; it's a complete defeat in terms of singing technique!

His hands unconsciously clenched into fists.

"Young girl," Kim Tae-yeon leaned closer to Liz, "Are you dissatisfied with your abilities?"

'

"If you feel it, then go for it."

"Your innate advantages give you a head start over Xueyun, but that doesn't mean you can rest easy."

Whether you can win the title of "best partner" depends on your efforts.

Chestnut pastry's harmonies are world-renowned, but after "The Four Seasons," it seems a new harmonies are about to emerge.

"Huh? Chestnut and Su Xia are chestnut pastries, then what are Xue Yun and Su Xia?" Kim Tae-yeon suddenly realized the question.

The voices of seven people rang out simultaneously.

Did I ever truly love you?

Did I ever love you?

This version of "Four Seasons" was clearly designed with Su Xia and NMIXX's vocal characteristics in mind. Each person has their own lyrics, and the harmonies of others fill in the fullness of the sound during the performance.

It's more accurate to call this a large chorus than a collaborative piece.

The sound of NMIXX gradually faded, and everyone slowly retreated, leaving only Su Xia standing in place, gradually highlighting her position as the final center.

"The seasons come and go."

"I give you and me the cold winter, and I also send you my warm summer."

"Let go of the one who was once the whole world."

Su Xia's voice was deep, carrying Kim Tae-yeon's signature narrative quality, as if she were telling the story of the past spring, summer, autumn and winter, and — that person.

Did I ever truly love you?

"Did I ever love you?

The chorus of voices gradually faded, eventually disappearing into nothingness.

"Card!"

With the sound card installed, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"Perfect, one take!" the PD said, leading the applause.

Seeing this, the others also applauded.

Seeing this, Liz's smile returned, and she joined in the applause.

But Jin Qiutian, who had been watching her closely, secretly chuckled.

This child must have noticed the difference, right?

The difference in singing ability between Liz and Xueyun is significant, and it's hard to know what she will do.

Some people choose to give up when faced with difficulties.

Some people, when faced with difficulties, choose to try to overcome them through hard work.

Jin Qiutian believes Liz is the latter.

Because, you see, they are Jang Won-young and Ahn Yoo-jin's teammates!

"Fantastic." Su Xia didn't notice Liz's strange behavior and praised the NMIXX team immediately after the applause ended.

"As expected of NMIXX, their strength is indeed top-notch."

"Are you an idiot? Chestnuts and autumn are still here." Kim Tae-yeon was startled by Su Xia's words, and thought, "What the hell is Liz?"

And Jin Qiutian is right next to her!

Su Xia was stunned by the scolding, then looked at Liz and the other person.

Upon closer inspection, something seemed off. Although Liz had a smile on her face, it looked—a little fake?

"Don't go." Kim Tae-yeon saw Su Xia taking a step and immediately stopped him.

"Li Zi was probably upset by your and Xue Yun's perfect harmony. As the person involved, you shouldn't go over there. She'll handle it herself."

You don't always need someone to comfort you; sometimes, all you need to do is quietly look at the other person.

Su Xia hesitated for a moment, but still listened to Kim Tae-yeon's words, and then looked at Xue Yun again.

Xueyun happened to be looking at Su Xia as well. After making eye contact with her, she immediately lowered her head, her face turning slightly red.

Su Xia raised an eyebrow when she saw this.

"Does Xueyun like me?" Su Xia muttered to herself in a voice only she and Kim Tae-yeon could hear.

"Have some shame!" Kim Tae-yeon almost choked on Su Xia's extremely narcissistic words.

"Xueyun looks like a girl. Girls get nervous when they make eye contact with each other. With such fair skin, she's bound to blush if she gets nervous and her blood rushes!"

"Someone like you, besides Chestnut, who would even want you?"

"You've truly enjoyed the three greatest illusions of life."

"Xueyun likes you? You don't even deserve it!"

Kim Tae-yeon unleashed a torrent of abuse, leaving Su Xia utterly bewildered, but instead of getting angry, he laughed.

because----

Kim Tae-yeon's half-sentence resonated deeply with him!

"How about we hold the celebration party after the second song recording is finished?" Su Xia said to NMXX and the others, snapping out of her daze.

The girls naturally had no objections.

After discussing the video for a while, the meeting ended.

"Let's go eat together later," Su Xia said to Liz and Jin Qiutian as she walked over.

"Aren't you bringing NMIXX's juniors?" Kim Qiu-tian glanced at Liz and asked in confusion.

"No need, they need to learn Chinese, and we still have a Chinese song that we haven't recorded yet."

"Liz?" Jin Qiutian didn't care and turned to look at Liz.

"I want to practice my singing and lose weight at the same time, so I won't go," Liz said, shaking her head.

Su Xia glanced at Liz with some surprise at being rejected.

"You're already so thin, why are you still dieting?"

Liz smiled.

"By the way."

"Alright then." Su Xia nodded, then looked at Jin Qiutian, "If Chestnut isn't going, are you?"

"If Liz isn't going, I won't go either." Jin Qiutian laughed. Of course, she wouldn't go to dinner alone with Su Xia. What kind of date would that be?

She's not going.

"Tsk, I can't even invite anyone out to dinner," Su Xia teased with a smile.

"Then shall I write it down for now?" Jin Qiutian smiled. "I'll invite you when I have time."

"No way, it won't work if it's not valid!" Su Xia shook her head, feigning dissatisfaction. "Do you think this is a free meal voucher that you can use anytime? Even free meal vouchers at restaurants have an expiration date."

"That's a real pity," Jin Qiutian said with a smile, shaking her head.

"Then I'll be leaving first."

"Mmm." Liz and Jin Qiutian both waved to Su Xia.

Su Xia took off her coat, handed it to a staff member, and then left.

"Shall we go down?" Jin Qiutian said to Liz.

Liz nodded.

"Chestnut was provoked by Seol-yoon," Kim Tae-yeon said, following behind Su Xia.

"I can see it now," Su Xia said casually, looking up at the elevator display showing the floor numbers descending.

"I thought you hadn't noticed."

"After you reminded me, I realized it even if I hadn't noticed it before."

"That's true." Kim Tae-yeon nodded. "So what are you going to do? Really go eat?"

"Mmm, I'm hungry."

"Nothing can stop you from eating."

"Man is made of iron, food is made of steel; you'll get hungry if you skip a meal."

"What a pig!"

"I was born in the Year of the Dragon, thank you."

"hehe."

That evening, after the team worked overtime to produce the video, Su Xia's Notes and Bilibili released a collaboration video with NMIXX.

Frequently, "Four Seasons".

NMIXX doesn't have an official account on Yin Fu, so the video was posted under Su Xia's account. They do have an account on Bilibili, where they posted collaborative videos.

After the video was released, reactions on the internet gradually followed.

With the teaser video already out there, many people were eagerly anticipating Su Xia and NMIXX's collaboration, especially IVE fans, who were all eager to see what would happen.

Why is Liz only a poster, but becomes a trailer for NMIXX?

Besides those who were originally Su Xia's audience, NMIXX and some JYP family fans also flocked over as new viewers to watch the excitement.

IVE and NMIXX, two combinations that would never be compared together under normal circumstances, were placed together by Su Xia in a bizarre way.

Hey, that's interesting!

When the song "Four Seasons" was presented to people in video format—

Popularity soars!

Whether music is good or not cannot be changed by fans praising it or haters criticizing it.

If a song is unpleasant to listen to, it will still be unpleasant to listen to, no matter how much its fans praise it.

Similarly, if a song is good, it will still be good even if the entire internet is full of haters.

Just like this cover of "Four Seasons," even with the preconceived notion of Kim Tae-yeon's original version, it still brought a refreshing feeling to all listeners.

The fullness of the female voice harmonies, combined with Su Xia's warm and spring-like narrative tone, brewed a cup of refreshing tea for everyone in this short three-minute video.

In particular, the fusion of Su Xia and Xue Yun's voices in the chorus almost captivated every listener. Even IVE fans with preconceived notions and critical minds couldn't help but have a thought when they heard this chorus.

"It seems... to have a better harmony than chestnut pastry?"

This is not an isolated case, but rather a common occurrence in the comments section.

Among them, the most-rated comment in Su Xia's main battlefield comment section is as follows.

"Su Lu's voice is like a gentle spring breeze, like the rich aroma of tea in midsummer, making everyone who hears it feel the warmth of spring and summer. Xue Chong's voice is cool and sweet, like a spring melting in winter, carrying the chill of winter as well as a hint of sweetness. When the aroma of tea and the spring water blend together, it is as if midsummer and winter have crossed seasons to meet, bringing a cup of refreshing tea that has traveled through spring, summer, autumn and winter, through the changing seasons."

The cold winter and the height of summer perfectly correspond to the main melody of the song "Four Seasons," making it exceptionally fitting.

Some fans also asked in the comments section why there was no collaboration with IVE on "Four Seasons".

Then, a kind passerby explained to her the average singing level of NMIXX members and the difficulty of singing and composing the song "Four Seasons".

Liz is certainly capable, and Ahn Yu-jin probably can too, but what about the others?

In addition, the "To be continued" at the end of the video also attracted the attention of fans.

What does "to be continued" mean?

Could it be—there's more?

The thought of this excited everyone except for some IVE fans.

As Su Xia's video focus shifted from dance covers to song covers, his viewership fluctuated, but undeniably, he remains the leading figure in the K-pop cover genre.

The collaboration with Liz on "My Love" pioneered a completely new direction for videos, unlike short challenges, it was a complete cover.

Now, they have completed a song called "Four Seasons" with the entire NMIXX team.

Could there be a third song?

Thinking about this, fans left even more enthusiastic comments, and news about NMIXX's collaboration with Su Xia spread like wildfire throughout the Korean entertainment industry.

This is already the best possible outcome. To date, Su Xia's most viral moment was still when she first became famous and won the Chengdu Kpop dance cover championship.

All the other popularity has been confined to the K-pop scene; it has never managed to break out of its niche.

September 10th, STARSHIP Entertainment, IVE Vocal Studio.

Jin Qiutian was browsing the comments section of the musical note video.

Su Xia and NMIXX's collaboration "Four Seasons" has been released for a day, and its viewership has already surpassed that of Liz.

That time, with "My Love".

It's related to popularity, but not strongly.

This time, "The Four Seasons" is indeed superior to "My Love" in terms of listening experience, which is obvious to everyone, otherwise—

Jin Qiutian looked up and gazed at Liz, who was practicing singing not far away.

Everyone else is on holiday this month, enjoying a rare vacation, but Liz chose to come to the vocal studio to practice singing.

Online, Su Xia and Xue Yun's harmony is described as "a harmony that has experienced the four seasons of winter and summer," and many netizens have commented that it sounds much better than Chestnut Pastry.

If it were just a simple business relationship, Liz might not care much, but that's not the case with them.

Jin Qiutian clicked his tongue inwardly, then smiled as he watched Liz's retreating figure.

Liz's ambition isn't about competing for anything; she simply works hard at something she's set her mind on.

However, she is also a sensitive girl, and online comments have a great impact on her. With this kind of personality, Liz will really work harder because netizens say that her harmony with Su Xia is not as good as Xue Yun and Su Xia's.

"How pitiful, someone who has fallen into the whirlpool of emotions," Jin Qiutian commented.

Love really can make people disregard everything.

She absolutely cannot come into contact with something that's like a poison.

She curled her lip, showing utter disdain for this so-called affection.

Ding dong.

Jin Qiutian's phone lit up, and she subconsciously looked at it.

That's Liz's phone. I left it here for Jin Qiutian to keep an eye on so he can reply to any messages or give it to her.

The sender is ————

Su Xia oppa.

Jin Qiu picked up her phone; she could see the contents without unlocking it.

Su Xia oppa: My younger brother is visiting Seoul to check out the universities. Do you want to come along?

Jin Qiutian's expression shifted slightly.

Attorney Su's younger brother?

If you're going to visit a university, then you're probably a high school student?

Jin Qiutian's eyes immediately lit up.

This is another way for Liz to understand Su Xia.

To get to know someone completely, in addition to daily interactions, you can also supplement the information by reading descriptions from their friends and family.

Su Xia's younger brother, a high school student, is not very shrewd and often receives the most truthful information.

However, we still need to ask Liz for her opinion.

"Liz, news from Attorney Su."

Jin Qiutian walked over and interrupted Liz's practice.

Liz took the phone with a puzzled look and glanced at it.

"Your younger brother is here too." Liz's expression shifted.

Chestnut: Which school are you going to?

Su Xia: Let's go to Goryeo first, and then go to Yonsei to take a look.

Chestnut: I'm at the office, let's meet up another time.

Su Xia oppa: OK.

Which school are they going to?

"Go to Goryeo first, then go to Yonsei."

Jin Qiu nodded, then asked.

"Do you still want to practice?"

Liz nodded.

"Then I'll go for a walk, you practice first."

Liz looked at Jin Qiutian with a puzzled expression, but still nodded.

Then Jin Qiutian dashed out in a flash.

Liz looked at Jin Qiutian's departing figure with some confusion, but didn't think much of it and continued her singing practice.

Yonsei University.

Jin Qiuchu, wearing a baseball cap and a mask, appeared at the entrance of Yonsei University.

If she goes to Korea first and then to Yonsei, why doesn't she just come to Yonsei University and stake out the place?

As for how to fool them—

Autumn has its own clever plans.

After sitting in the shade of a tree for about half an hour, just as Jin Qiutian was about to lose patience, a van stopped at the entrance of Yonsei University, and two figures got out, one of whom was Su Xia!

Jin Qiutian looked at the boy next to Su Xia with some confusion.

Su Xia is not short at all, he is 180 cm tall, but the boy next to him is still half a head taller than him, he must be close to 190 cm.

That's an exaggeratedly large size.

But it doesn't matter.

Jin Qiutian shook her head slightly to make sure the two weren't looking at her before getting up and walking towards the side of the campus as if she hadn't seen Su Xia.

Unfortunately, Jin Qiutian didn't know that Su Xia had more than one pair of eyes.

"Huh? Isn't that autumn?" Su Xia, who was talking to her younger brother Su Dong, heard Kim Tae-yeon's surprised voice.

Looking up, I saw Jin Qiutian standing up.

Even with a hat and mask on, Su Xia still recognized the other person.

"What's she doing here?" Su Xia asked, puzzled.

"Brother, who is it? Do you know them?" Su Dong asked, peeking into the direction Su Xia was looking.

"Yes, a friend." He nodded and led his younger brother toward Jinqiu.

[You saw me so quickly?]

Jin Qiutian listened to the footsteps behind her, feeling somewhat puzzled while also controlling her own pace.

"Autumn?" Su Xia's low voice rang in Jin Qiutian's ears.

Jin Qiutian tensed up, then said in a muffled voice, "You've mistaken me for someone else, classmate."

"I am Su Xia."

Jin Qiutian finally breathed a sigh of relief and looked up at Su Xia.

"So it's Attorney Su. You startled me." Jin Qiutian looked at Su Dong beside Su Xia. "And this is?"

"My younger brother, Su Dong."

"This is autumn, you can call me Sister Qiutian or Sister Qiuqiu, it's fine either way," Su Xia said to Su Dong, switching to Chinese.

"Sister Qiutian." Su Dong greeted Jin Qiutian, who was fully armed, with curiosity.

"Hey," Jin Qiutian replied politely.

Then he looked at Su Xia.

"Attorney Su, what's going on?!"

"My brother is preparing to study in South Korea, so I'm showing him around the schools," Su Xia explained.

Director Kim was indeed very helpful, telling Su Xia that apart from Seoul National University and the Korean Academy of Sciences, and the law departments of Korea University and Yonsei University, she could choose any other school and major she wanted.

Now that the answers were given, Su Xia brought his younger brother over to take a look and let him choose between Korea University and Yonsei University.

"Oh, oh." Jin Qiutian nodded in realization. "Why didn't you call Liz? Our whole team is on vacation."

"Is she practicing singing?" Su Xia guessed. Liz hadn't mentioned what she was doing when they were talking earlier.

"That should be true." Jin Qiutian suddenly stepped forward, and the faint scent of his perfume immediately filled the nostrils of the two brothers.

Su Dong raised an eyebrow and silently moved to the side.

Is this autumn sister-in-law my future sister-in-law?

"Liz hasn't been in a good mood lately, I think you could go and talk to her."

Su Xia was taken aback, and her gaze towards Jin Qiutian changed slightly.

"Oh ho, here comes the wingman!" Kim Tae-yeon said cheerfully from the side. "Looks like you've won over autumn!"

"I understand." Su Xia nodded. "I took my brother to the hotel and settled him in, and then I went to the company."

"Hey, there's no need to go to such trouble," Jin Qiutian quickly stopped Su Xia.

If you take her away, won't her trip have been in vain?

"I happen to be free, so I'll show your brother around Yonsei University," Jin Qiutian said with a smile.

"You don't speak Chinese, and he doesn't speak Korean, how are you going to communicate?" Su Xia asked, puzzled.

"It's okay, we have translation software. It's just a school visit," Jin Qiutian waved her hand. "Besides, are you worried I'll sell it to your brother?"

Jin Qiutian joked with a smile.

"That's hard to say." Su Xia laughed, but it was just a joke.

Su Dong isn't stupid, and Jin Qiutian isn't a real human trafficker.

"Alright, hurry up and go. If Liz leaves too late, it will be hard to find her," Jin Qiutian urged, giving Su Xia a gentle push.

Su Dong took in this action and became even more certain of his idea.

This isn't some Qiutian sister, this is clearly the future sister-in-law!

"Okay then." Su Xia nodded, then looked at Su Dong.

"I'm going to the company. Your sister Qiu will show you around the school. We'll just wander around here. Call me if you need anything."

"Go ahead, go ahead." Su Dong waved his hand. "I'm eighteen already, I won't get lost."

"

Su Xia was speechless, but not too worried. He trusted Jin Qiutian quite a bit.

"Then I'll head over there first in the fall? If you need a car, Xiao Li is right outside the door." Su Xia added another layer of assurance.

"Okay." Jin Qiutian nodded with a smile, eager to see Su Xia off as soon as possible.

Su Xia, unsuspecting, turned and strode away.
