Erii: A Journey Through the Heavens Begins with Frilian

Chapter 7: The Most Terrifying Monster in the Labyrinth!

Two days later.

The morning sunlight and fresh air woke Erii up early, and she and Philon were doing stretching exercises on the open grass.

Men in light armor passed by, taking in the pleasing scene and greeting the two women warmly with "Good morning."

This is an adventurer's camp located in a valley.

There were no managers, no security personnel, and the conditions were so poor that candles were the only light source at night.

But it's free!

The rows of fences and simple wooden houses form a layout that resembles a village. In the open space in the middle, there are still ashes from a campfire that burned all night, and you can smell the hot, burnt smell of charcoal when you get close.

Although only eight hours have passed, Erii is already missing last night's barbecue.

Those unshaven middle-aged men have surprisingly good cooking skills!

Beer with a lot of impurities and sediment is not good to drink and is extremely astringent. However, it can be paired with large meat skewers sprinkled with coarse salt. The protein and fat mix together and explode in your mouth, creating a magical chemical reaction on your tongue!

The uncle who's really good at grilling said that if I want more, I should come to the campsite to find him, but I have to bring my own ingredients.

Good morning~~

Frillie, her hair disheveled and eyes still sleepy, pushed open the door and slumped down, looking utterly dejected.

"I'll allow you to sleep in today," Philon said, feeling a pang of guilt.

"Philan~~~!" Frilian slumped against Philen's back, her eyes closed, complaining in a flat and adorable tone, "The bed was too hard, I didn't sleep well."

Erii pondered for a moment, then suddenly had a brilliant idea.

She walked up behind Frillie, bent down, reached out, wrapped her arms around her waist, and carried her in a princess carry!

Under Philon's astonished gaze, she carried Frilian to the bed, which consisted only of hard bed boards.

She leaned against the headboard, using herself as a soft, warm mattress, letting Frilian hug her from the front like a koala.

Erii tilted her head back and paused, then softly hummed a lullaby from her hometown.

In the past, when she was bored alone in her room, she would play house with her dolls.

She plays the role of the mother, the head of the family, coaxing each of the expressionless, motionless, and silent children to sleep. Only after she has placed each child in bed in an orderly manner will she lie obediently in the middle of the children, lying on her side, curling up her legs, and resting her head on her hands, silently saying "Goodnight".

At this moment, Erii treats Frilian as a "child" and wants her to feel her care.

"This is completely childish logic!"

Seeing the mother and daughter inside, so harmonious and loving, Philon immediately became unhappy. But when he saw that Frilian had actually slowly closed her puzzled eyes, he could only shake his head helplessly.

"Ugh, why do I feel like I'm taking care of two little kids?"

……

[Small goal: Conquer a maze for the first time]

[Successful check-in reward: Random Word of Power]

As the sun rose high in the sky, Erii saw the guide's instructions before her eyes.

Great!

It's a mission!

So she put forward her demands.

It wasn't for the reward, but simply because I wanted to explore the maze and experience the urgent sense of accomplishment from completing the game's tasks.

"There's one on the mountaintop, otherwise there wouldn't be such a large adventurer camp," Frilian replied.

The once-heroic team, led by the labyrinth-obsessed Simmel, explored 100% of the numerous labyrinths.

This place, which was neglected back then because of the rescue of a town invaded by demons, has now become a popular spot for adventurers and mages to train and explore.

Philen inquired and learned that the maze has not yet been conquered, and the deepest part is buried with countless bones.

The abundance of treasures within attracted a constant stream of people, who risked their lives to try their luck.

"I was planning to go take a look anyway, just in case I find a new spellbook!" Frilian's fatigue vanished, and she led the way with great enthusiasm.

Before long, the entrance to the maze, with its towering stone pillars, appeared at the top of the mountain.

The three of them walked straight in. The passage was a downward slope, and it seemed to go deep into the mountain and even underground.

The walls were adorned with glowing stones and torches brought by adventurers, and the cracks in the rock above provided illumination for visibility.

The monsters and traps in the maze will not regenerate, so the next few hours will be quiet and peaceful. Many secret rooms will be empty, as the treasures have already been claimed by others.

As they continued forward, the lingering smell of blood in the wind grew stronger, and the passage became increasingly winding and circuitous.

"Wait!" Frillian's alert voice made their hearts tighten.

Philon gripped his wand tightly and looked around.

Erii eagerly drew her long knife, ready to slice the meat.

Frillie quickly slipped into an inconspicuous secret room around the corner, and stood with her back to the two of them, deep in thought.

"Philan, Erii, we have found the most terrifying monster in the labyrinth," Frilian's solemn voice came through.

Philon quickened his pace, and after seeing clearly, he put down his wand speechlessly.

Erii looked closely and saw a brownish-red treasure chest quietly placed on the ground, waiting for a lucky person to open the blind box.

"A monster?" Erii asked, puzzled.

Frillie cast a detection spell on the treasure chest, and after it ended, her expression of inner turmoil deepened, clearly indicating that she was deep in thought.

"It's obvious this is a mimic; I advise you not to try it," Philon said, frowning and giving a serious warning.

"This spell only has a 99% success rate. What if this is a treasure chest? Maybe I can get a rare spellbook!" Frilian transformed into a reckless gambler and resolutely lifted the lid of the treasure chest.

wow——

A foul, fishy stench accompanied the opening of the treasure chest, which contained neither a magic book nor any gold coins.

Suddenly, it leaped up and opened its mouth, revealing a dense array of sharp teeth and a large, bouncy, dark red tongue.

With a "snap," the mimic completely swallowed Freyren's upper body, its large mouth wedged around her waist, revealing her pert buttocks as she knelt down.

Erii was dumbfounded. Could this really be done?

next second~

"It's so dark! It's so scary!"

"It's so dark! It's so scary!"

"It's so dark! It's so scary!"

A muffled gasp, barely audible even as a dying person, came from the mimic's mouth.

Frillie struggled violently, her legs kicking wildly as if in a seizure.

"You insisted on trying it, are you satisfied now?" Philon said with a deep sense of helplessness.

"How will you know if you don't try? A 1% chance is pretty high, it's so shady~ I'm so scared~" Frilian replied and taught her how to break the deadlock, "Philan, save me! Don't pull, push."

Philon sighed, handed the wand to Erii, then went behind Frilian, pressed his hands against her buttocks, and pushed her in forcefully.

"vomit--"

That gagging sound came from the mimic chest monster.

That's right, Frillie was forced to vomit it all out, her whole body covered in sticky saliva, her white hair sticking wetly to her skin.

hum!

A cold glint flashed out.

Erii plunged her knife into the mimic's throat with such force that it pierced right through it.

She wiped the saliva from the blade and asked curiously, "How did you get out alone?"

Frillie replied, "Blast it open from the inside with magic, but I don't like doing that; it'll damage my hair."

Philon, who was wiping her drool, suddenly realized, "No wonder sometimes when you come back alone, your hair looks like it's been permed!"

Erii thought for a moment, then suddenly realized, "I understand, this is the Frilian trap."

Da Da Da~

Suddenly, a flurry of footsteps reached their ears, and figures moved about, instantly making the small, enclosed room feel crowded.
