Chapter 127 Forgive my bluntness, but you seem to be a Muggle?

boom!

The family car let out a wail as if it were about to burn out, Vernon's foot was practically slamming into the engine, and the pointer spun to the far right of the dial for the first time ever.

However, Erii's face, partially obscured by her hair, remained visible to Penny's left, separated only by a window.

"Monster~ She's a monster~" Vernon stammered.

Through the rearview mirror, he could vaguely see Erii's legs turn into a rapidly spinning arc afterimage, while her upper body remained unchanged, as stable as two separate parts.

Dali was jolted awake by the high-speed shaking of the car body, and as soon as he saw Erii's back of the head, he started crying and screaming.

Whether intentionally or unintentionally, Erii would frequently turn around and look at the back row. Her red hair was completely obscured by black hair, revealing only a pair of golden eyes, which, to Dudley, felt like being stared at by a king cobra.

rumble!

Finally, the internal combustion engine let out its last groan, shuddering as it slowed down until it came to a complete stop.

Looking at the black smoke billowing from the hood, Vernon thought to himself, "It's all over." Penny sat frozen in her seat, her face ashen.

Refusing to open the door was the couple's last act of defiance.

With a click, Erii pulled open a back door completely, nodded her chin at Harry, and gestured for him to get out.

Realizing something was amiss, Harry hesitated for a moment before deciding to get off the bus.

"Where are you going?" Erii asked, peeking out of her skin.

"Let's go on a trip," Penny said awkwardly.

"Don't even think about taking Harry away. I'm going to Hogwarts—he's definitely going to be here." Erii declared solemnly and without room for argument.

"Where is Hogwarts? How can I get there?" Harry asked.

"Someone will come to pick you up," Erii thought for a moment, "Until then, why don't you stay at my place for now?"

"No!" Penny exclaimed anxiously.

Erii completely ignored it.

Harry thought for a moment, then politely bit his lip and asked, "Will this bother Miss Uesugi?"

"No," Erii replied, then looked into the car and said coldly, "This is the last warning. If you don't want to get involved in the wizarding world, don't interfere in Harry's future."

The tone was calm, as if they were negotiating, but the three people inside nodded instinctively.

When they came to their senses, the two figures, one large and one small, were nowhere to be seen outside.

"Vernon, let's not give up. She's a complete lunatic." Penny choked up and cried.

Vernon remained silent, slumping dejectedly in his chair like a greasy pile of excrement.

The time Harry spent staying at Erii's house was the happiest and most relaxing period of his life so far.

He now has his own entire bedroom, along with his own wardrobe and desk.

He can freely use all kinds of ingredients to cook whatever he wants, and the key is that he does it willingly.

Even doing housework became much more interesting, and to thank Erii, he tried his best to do everything within his power.

The two houses faced each other, meaning the Dursleys were practically inseparable from each other.

But Harry keenly noticed that his aunt and uncle, who had once looked down on him, now had a different look in their eyes.

Especially when Erii was with him, the two of them would bury their heads in their chests and not dare to glance at him at all.

Dudley, Harry's cousin who used to treat him like a punching bag, has also lost his arrogant and domineering edge, and his group of friends also avoid Harry like the plague.

"Happy birthday!"

Harry, still half-asleep, opened his eyes in astonishment, staring blankly at Erii holding the cake, pointing at himself incredulously.

"Me?"

"Uh-huh.

""

How did you know my birthday?

"You're incredibly famous in the magical world; everyone knows you!"

"Really? You're kidding, right?"

"Of course not, you can ask Hagrid later if you don't believe me."

Harry, who was eating cake, blinked. "Who's Hagrid?"

Ding-a-ling~

The doorbell rang.

Harry quickly ran to open the door, only to be met with a huge figure that blocked the entire doorway.

"Ahhh~" He was startled and shrank back.

"So you're here. I just asked your aunt, and she told me. But she didn't seem to be in a good mood; she closed the door before I could finish asking." A deep, honest voice came from above, and then the giant lowered his head, revealing a rugged face covered in thick hair.

He was wearing layers of dark clothing, with an extremely old overcoat on the outside, which made his already burly and tall figure look incredibly bulky.

With his unkempt, messy long hair and thick beard, he looked every bit the homeless person heading to the train station, especially with a tattered black umbrella clutched in his hand.

"Who are you?" Harry exclaimed, suddenly realizing, "I know, you're Hagrid!"

This time it was Hagrid's turn to be taken aback. "How do you know my name?"

"Miss Uesugi told me that, and she also told me a lot of stories about the wizarding world." Harry stepped aside and pointed to Erii.

"Miss Uesugi? Oh, hello~" Hagrid was very polite, standing at the door without stepping over the threshold.

"Rupert Hagrid." Erii came to the door and gestured for him to come in.

"I didn't expect my reputation to be so great?" Hagrid scratched his head, rubbed his dirty shoes hard on the carpet a few times, and then shrank into the room.

He followed them to the restaurant, his heart filled with a thousand questions, but when he saw the cake with its candles already extinguished, he was startled and quickly pulled a hastily made cloth bag from his pocket.

"Happy birthday, little Harry. Look how thin you are. Haven't the Dursleys been feeding you?" Hagrid's tone was incredibly sincere, and he looked at Harry as if he were looking down at a pitiful little rabbit.

"Thank you, Mr. Hagrid."

Harry took it and opened it. Inside was a small, crushed cake. Although its appearance was really hard to describe, it gave off a rich aroma of cream.

"Are you here to take me to Hogwarts?" Harry looked up excitedly, his sparkling eyes full of anticipation.

"Of course! But how did you know?" Hagrid looked at Erii. "It seems that Uesugi-san told you as well."

At this point, Hagrid's eyes narrowed into slits, clearly showing suspicion and wariness.

Because very few people knew where Harry Potter was hiding—you could count them on one hand—a red-haired girl of unknown origin suddenly appeared. Although she looked innocent, cute, and harmless, Hagrid had to take her seriously, considering that the person he was protecting was the extremely important little Harry.

Noticing Hagrid's change in mood, Erii cut him a piece of cake. After saying "thank you," he continued to stare at her with a serious gaze, as if waiting for her to speak first.

Hagrid was born in 1928. His father was a common human wizard and his mother was a giant, making him a half-giant, larger than a human. He served as the game keeper and key keeper at Hogwarts.

Gradually, Hagrid noticed that Erii's eyes were like those of a little girl, as if he were a giant teddy bear.

He was a little taken aback, subconsciously feeling that people with that kind of look were probably not some kind of villain with malicious intentions.

So Hagrid took the initiative to ask, "Miss Uesugi, if I may be so bold, how did you find Harry? And who are you?"

""

I wonder if it was a coincidence that the "guidelines" left her at the zoo entrance?

Hagrid paused, then asked hesitantly and with a hint of confusion, "Excuse my frankness, but you seem to be a Muggle?"

Erii paused, her hand holding the teacup still, and frowned. "For now!"
