The Reincarnation Journey of an Minecraft Player

Chapter 21 Dressing Luffy up as a girl

Jinsui Village is located about 100 kilometers north of Aling'e, surrounded by more than a dozen villages of varying sizes.

Normally, villagers don't go too far from their villages; only some young people like to go to the nearest town.

After all, there really aren't many forms of entertainment for young people in the village.

In April, the winter chill has faded, and the spring breeze has only just arrived.

In autumn, you can see the village's iconic golden wheat fields, but it's clearly not the time now.

The roads in Jinsui Village are quite different from those in Aling'e.

The soil, mixed with grass stalks and fallen leaves, along with livestock dung, emitted a very unpleasant odor.

Looking up, you can see many people busy working in the fields.

"That's a really nice village! So, who should we look for?"

Luffy made a gazing gesture and grinned.

The scenery here reminded him of the windmill village where he grew up.

"Don't rush, let's go find the village chief and find out what's going on."

Gao Ge and his two companions stood out quite a bit in the village. Luffy was alright, but Gao Ge's clothes seemed completely out of place, and Jiu Hu's were even more so.

Her pair of fox ears attracted the attention of passersby.

Fortunately, the people here didn't do anything excessive; they just hid in a corner and whispered among themselves.

Gao Ge ignored these stares, compared the map provided by the Adventurers' Guild with his own mod map, and quickly located the village chief's house.

"It feels like a live-action RPG... Is anyone there? Village Chief? Mr. Byron?"

The village chief's house is a two-story building made of rocks, which stands out among the many wooden houses in the village.

The gate opened, and an elderly man dressed reasonably well walked out, which fit Gao Ge's stereotype of the title "village chief".

Gao Ge showed off the silver badge he received from the guild after his level certification. Seeing the village chief's disappointed expression, Gao Ge pouted and then pulled a gold badge from Luffy's body.

The wrinkles on the village chief's face finally smoothed out a bit. He stepped aside to make way and began to speak.

"Thank you for coming all this way, please come in and have a seat!"

Tsk, someone with only 12 HP looks down on a Silver-rank adventurer!

Gao Ge rolled her eyes, and the three of them went into the village chief's house together.

Upon entering the room, Gao Ge's dissatisfaction intensified.

As expected of the village chief, even though he's not a high-ranking official, the decoration and furnishings in his house are quite expensive!

In terms of quality, it's not much worse than the batch that Fraser bought for him!

"Current situation intelligence: tell me everything you have, one by one. We're here to solve the problem; there'll be plenty of time for other things later, understand?"

Gao Ge spoke very directly; his first impression of the village chief was not good at all.

Unfortunately, the village chief kept staring at Luffy, and even though Luffy kept picking his nose in front of him, he didn't look away.

Well, it seems that Arlinge's hierarchical system is indeed deeply ingrained.

Gao Ge glanced at the sky outside and spoke with an unfriendly expression.

"Stop looking! I took on this mission. If you keep dawdling, we're turning around and leaving right now!"

The village chief smacked his lips twice, gave up on communicating with Luffy, and finally spoke.

"That's a monster! A monster that only appears at night! It's incredibly fast; even the strongest man in the village couldn't withstand a single blow from it... My lords, you must capture that monster!"

There are indeed quite a few monsters that only appear at night, but the local adventurers should be able to handle this situation on their own, right?

Gao Ge raised his question, and the village chief just gave a wry smile and said,

"The town's strongest Silver-ranked master was also killed by a monster not long ago, which is why the town's guild reported the mission."

That's not surprising. The old man looks down on silver because a fellow trader of his just failed in this area.

However, since there have been records of battles, there should be records of the monster's race and level.

However, the task description makes no mention of it.

Gao Ge asked about the specifics, but the old man just shook his head and wouldn't say anything except "Sir, save me."

Gao Ge started to miss Frazier; intelligence gathering should have been done by him!

"You should know something! So far, all you've revealed is your nocturnal habits! How did that Silver One who died find the monster?"

The village chief hesitated for a moment, then cautiously began to speak.

"That adult found a girl and tied her up in the yard to use as bait..."

"Damn it, he really deserved to die! How could he have died at the hands of a monster? If I had run into him, I would have stabbed him a few times!"

Gao Ge almost choked on his breath, giving the village chief a disapproving look from head to toe.

This hesitant and stammering manner made Gao Ge narrow his eyes.

"You didn't come up with the idea, did you?"

"Oh, this... this is something I can't possibly take the responsibility for! How could I possibly come up with such an idea!"

Gao Ge snorted and ignored the clueless guy.

It is known that monsters like to kidnap young girls, or even eat them.

They are nocturnal and have low intelligence, making them susceptible to simple traps.

So how does this monster distinguish between girls? Is it by smell or appearance? Anyway, Gao Ge doesn't think a monster in a silver-level quest could have much aesthetic sense.

So when he saw Luffy picking his nose, a plan immediately came to him.

"Village chief, do you have a daughter?"

Perhaps the village chief hid the girl well, but with such a large pixelated portrait on the minimap, it was hard for Gao Ge not to notice her.

The village chief visibly trembled, frantically grabbing Gao Ge's arm, his voice shaking.

"My lord! You mustn't! My only granddaughter is with me..."

"What are you thinking?!"

Gao Ge shook off the village chief's hand and said with a speechless expression,

"Get me a set of her clothes, preferably unwashed, and put them on him!"

"......ah?"

The village chief was stunned, and Luffy was stunned too.

Luffy blinked and pointed to his nose.

"Give them to me? I don't want to wear girls' clothes!"

Gao Ge put one hand on Luffy's shoulder and said earnestly,

"Look, the monster eats young girls. After dark, you can disguise yourself as a young girl to lure it out, then kill it. The mission will be complete, right?"

Luffy pointed at the Sake Fox with his left hand and quickly spoke.

"There's a girl right here, why not let her come?"

"Are you willing to use Nami as bait?"

Luffy shook his head.

"What a coincidence! I couldn't bear to use the wine fox as bait, so you were the only one who came!"
