Inheriting a dilapidated ranch in North America, he became a billionaire through animal taming and t

"Mr. Su Chen?"

"it's me."

"Your distant relative, Mr. Henry Sue, passed away three months ago."

"According to his will, he left a ranch in Flathead County, Montana."

"You are the sole legal heir."

The other party spoke fluent English.

Michael Thompson, who identifies himself as an estate lawyer in Montana.

Su Chen was stunned.

Distant relatives? Ranch?

"There must be some mistake?"

"I have no relatives in the United States."

"No mistake."

"Mr. Henry Sue is the grandson of your great-grandfather's brother."

"Although the blood relation is distant, your name was clearly specified in the will."

"The ranch is called 'Sunset Ranch' and is located in Flathead Valley, covering an area of approximately 1,200 acres."

Attorney Michael spoke in a businesslike tone.

1,200 acres.

Su Chen's mind went blank for a moment.

He lived in a dilapidated rented room for two years; it didn't even have a balcony.

Now someone suddenly tells him he's inherited a ranch?

It covers 1,200 acres, roughly the size of five Forbidden Cities.

He thought about it all night and finally figured it out.

At 26 years old, penniless and in debt, what is there to be afraid of in this state?

go with!

......

three days later.

Su Chen used his last savings to buy a plane ticket from Los Angeles to Kalispel, Montana.

We rented another pickup truck that was almost falling apart, and after a bumpy three-hour ride, we finally arrived in Flathead County.

The town is called White Fish Town, nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains, where the air is cold and dry.

The town doesn't have many people.

The main street has two rows of low wooden houses with signs for bars, gun shops, and feed shops.

Pickups and cowboy boots were everywhere.

Su Chen pushed open the door to the lawyer's office.

Attorney Michael was a white man in his fifties with gray hair and wearing gold-rimmed glasses.

There was a hint of scrutiny in her eyes as she looked him over.

"Mr. Su Chen?"

"Please sit down."

The lawyer glanced at him, then at the documents in his hand.

The lawyer pushed a stack of documents over.

"These are the ranch deeds, title documents, bank loan agreements, and tax arrears."

"You need to sign to confirm that you are taking over all debts."

"but……"

The lawyer then changed the subject.

"I need to inform you in advance that the current condition of Sunset Ranch is not ideal."

"It has debt, aging facilities, and extremely low land utilization."

"If you choose to renounce your inheritance, the ranch will be reclaimed by the bank and auctioned off."

Debt.

These two words felt like a bucket of cold water being poured over me.

"How much do you owe?"

"The ranch was mortgaged to the First State Bank, with the remaining loan principal and interest totaling $87,000."

"In addition, there is an outstanding property tax of approximately $12,000."

"Around $100,000 in total."

One hundred thousand.

Su Chen gasped.

He can barely scrape together enough money for next week's meals, where is he going to get 100,000?

Su Chen flipped through the pages one by one.

"If I give up, how will the debt be settled after the bank takes back the ranch?"

The lawyer adjusted his glasses.

"Proceeds from the ranch auction will be used first to repay loans and taxes; any shortfall..."

"In theory, the bank can pursue your other assets."

"However, considering that you are a foreign national and have no other assets in the United States, the actual possibility of pursuing recovery is extremely low."

Su Chen gritted his teeth.

"I'll sign."

After signing, the lawyer handed me a rusty key.

"These are the keys to the ranch gate and the main house."

"Good luck, Mr. Su Chen."

Stepping out of the lawyer's office, Su Chen stood on the main street, a cold wind blowing into his collar.

Su Chen gripped the steering wheel, his heart sinking deeper and deeper.

After driving for nearly forty minutes, we finally saw a crooked wooden sign by the roadside.

The words "Sunset Ranch" were engraved on it, but the paint had peeled off so much that they were almost illegible.

There are still several bullet holes in the sign.

Turning onto the dirt road, the pickup truck rolled over gravel, kicking up a trail of dust.

Then, Su Chen saw Sunset Ranch.

He got out of the car, and his feet made a cracking sound as he stepped on the ground.

He looked around.

The land was vast, the mountains stretched endlessly, and the sky was so blue it looked unreal.

But on this land that belonged to him, there was no life, no hope.

All that remains is ruin, desolation, and a mountain of debt that can never be repaid.

Now, he sits in a dilapidated ranch, 100,000 yuan in debt, and can't even afford a drink of water.

What to do tomorrow? What to do the day after tomorrow? What to do this month?

Su Chen closed his eyes.

A tear, unable to be held back, slid down her cheek.

Just when he was about to be swallowed by despair.

"Ding!"

A cold, mechanical voice exploded in my mind.

Su Chen stared wide-eyed at the light screen in front of him, his mind completely blank.

In an instant, a surge of heat exploded from my chest.

The feeling was so intense, it was as if every bone in my body had been reforged.

Every muscle has been infused with new power.

Su Chen sat up and discovered that his body had undergone tremendous changes.

That lingering feeling of fatigue disappeared.

My back doesn't ache anymore, my legs don't hurt anymore, and even my breathing has become deep and powerful.

He clenched his fist, and could clearly feel the power within his muscles that he had never experienced before.

My mind is filled with many more things.

Types of pasture grass, livestock habits, disease prevention and control, fence construction...

He began to inspect the so-called ranch.

Twelve hundred acres sounds big, but it's even bigger when you walk on it.

But every inch of land tells him a cruel truth.

This land is now abandoned.

The grasslands have severely degraded and are overgrown with spotted dove grass, which cattle and sheep simply don't like to eat.

The surface soil was hard and compacted, and the cracks resembled those of a dried-up riverbed.

In the distance, there are several white poplars, their leaves withered and yellow, their trunks covered with parasitic vines.

The wire fence was leaning precariously, and in some places it had collapsed to the ground and been swallowed up by weeds.

The roof of the livestock shed had collapsed halfway, and the wooden beams and pillars were rotten and blackened, resembling a row of decayed teeth.

The pasture was sparse, and large areas of sandy land were exposed, raising dust when the wind blew.

The main house is a two-story wooden house with almost all the paint peeling off the exterior walls, revealing grayish-white rotten wood.

Two of the wooden planks of the porch are broken, and the steps are crooked and could fall apart at any moment.

When he reached the south slope, he finally saw the "livestock".

Five cows.

To be precise, they were five skinny oxen that were barely clinging to life.

Its ribs protruded one by one, its fur was dull and lifeless, its eyes were cloudy, and drool dripped from the corner of its mouth.

One of them was lying on the ground, unable to stand up, its abdomen rising and falling slightly.

Su Chen squatted down and took a look, his heart sinking.

Nobody wants these cows even when they're sent to the slaughterhouse.

The meat is too dry and lacks marbling; it's even too tough to make a hamburger patty.

He pushed open the door to the main house, and it creaked open; the hinges were badly rusted.

The scene inside was even worse than outside.

There was a large hole in the ceiling, and a puddle of rainwater had accumulated on the floor.

The wallpaper was moldy and peeling off, emitting a damp and rotten smell.

The furniture is all from the 1970s and 80s; the sofa leather is cracked, and the springs are showing.

I turned on the kitchen faucet, and it gurgled a few times, but nothing came out.

No water, no electricity, no heating.

Su Chen stood in the center of the room, the cold wind blowing in through the hole, making his whole body stiff.

Then, the system beeped again.

[Treasure Hunt Triggered: An abnormal signal has been detected below the host's current location.]

[Type of buried object: Unknown metal container]

[Depth: 1.5 meters]

[Estimated Value: High]

[Precise coordinates have been marked; the host is advised to begin mining as soon as possible.]

Su Chen was startled.

Is there something under this house?!

"I knew it... I knew God wouldn't force me to my death!"

Su Chen turned and walked to the door, pushed it open, and a cold wind rushed in.

But he didn't feel cold at all.

He gazed at the dilapidated pasture under the moonlight, his lips pressed into a thin line.
